China is reportedly building a missile very similar to the Tomahawk cruise missile. It will have close to 2,000 mile range. This would make it able to come close to strike Guam and if out to see and close enough, Hawaii. China has been studying American military technology, and saw how the Gulf War was dominated by cruise missiles. American bases sadly would have little way to defend against such a weapon. The missiles were spotted in photos taken:

Its always reassuring when your enemy's are building technology you have had for tens of years, i suspect pentagon officials are laughing again right now

This way.. all you have to do is beat your old technology with the new technology you have developed to counter your old hardware

It'll be a fair fight when China build/release technology that isn't already decades old and obsolete, China is still playing catch up

China only has enough oil reserves to last a few weeks. If you had to beat them in a war, just hold out for a few weeks and their war machines wouldn't be able to move.

China has about... well maybe only a few more years left to secure enough oil before its economy collapses and implodes, its not all that well know but there are daily hour long cues for gas/petrol in China in most city's,

China love to speak of how vulnerable western nation are with space based satellites & command networks but forget they have hundreds of Achilles Heels,

A Naval blockade of its oil imports/shipping lanes would cripple all of China senses, which as of now is almost to easy to do

I don't know who put the term "Tomahawk" on to that story, but to shoot a winged bomb two-thousand miles to its target is a bit of silly thinking. Cruise missiles can be downed with some of the new AA weapons and a capable opponent is not going to be sitting their twiddling his thumbs during flight time.

seconds after the weapon touched down the entire country of china might just be starting to cool somewhere less than 10,000 degrees C

I don't get it. What is so fantastic about China having a Tomahawk missile? Big deal. It is mainly a ship based missile but is also used in subs and larger aircraft.

There are submarines with ICBM's and a nuclear payload. They have about a 3,500 mile range.

Why would a missile with a 2,000 mile range scare anyone.

1970's technology.

I would not be so complacent. China is building the biggest cyber army in the world. Technology can be an Achilles heal. How can you fight a war with your satellites offline.

Exactly, our enemies are building weapons from technology WE had 10 years ago. One could only imagine what we have at our arsenal now.

This is joke right? The missile shield had already been fully developed. It would destroy the cruise missile in no time.

china is very impotent.they are very primitive and can easly be defeated by a single american destroyer.

just destroy a single port and no oil .

china is very backward.they HAVE NO OWN TECH.ALL THEIR TECH IS STOLEN FROM AMERICA USING SPIES.

It would be funny how much each of these "tomahawks" will set you back and compare it with the US version. Another interesting thing would be if China starts to export this weapon to African nations, North Korea and ex-Soviet Satellite states (considering the last troubles in that zone)...

Northrup Grumman used the H-1 Visa program and brought in a man from India to work on the B-2 bomber.

That man designed China a stealth cruise missile. Google "Noshir Gowadia".

Good going Congress, DOD, and Northrup Grumman for bringing in a man from India to work on our secret military tech. He used his knowledge he got from us and GAVE China our B-2 bomber blueprints AND designed them a stealth cruise missile.

Hawaii or Guam will never see it coming....and guess what....Americans paid for it when our money was used to hire Noshir Gowadia.

Hawaii and Guam are SCREWED.
