This thread is being a little too vague and slightly misleading. The reason for the warrant and seizures was because there had been destruction of government property (probably by spray-painting since they're looking for paint), interstate travel with intention to riot, etc. Says so right at the beginning of the warrant.

They're looking for the paint, clothes (and other items) that were worn during the painting.

Basically, somebody got caught spray-painting government property and that's what this warrant appears to pertain to.

Someone decided to cherry-pick one aspect of the warrant and spread that around.

So FBI, interstate warrants, and grand juries are now appropriate for the crime of graphiti?

I understand you're trying to keep a level head about this situation, but even you have to see the ridiculousness of using the spray paint as justification for all of this.

Next time someone spray paints a gang sign on your garage, call the authorities and see if they get the FBI and DHS involved, and if they issue multi-state warrants to find and take down the perpetrators. I bet you'll find yourself lucky to even get a patrol car to come around and take a report.

This isn't about some graphiti, it is about destroying opposition to the sitting government that has systematically usurpred our Constitution.

Anarchists are easy targets, too, because nobody is actually going to feel sorry for them. I daresay that a lot of people would even agree that anarchist philosophy and activism does indeed amount to terrorism and terrorist ideologies.

Now, of course, slippery slope is a basic logical fallacy, but it bears mentioning that human behavior does not always follow logic. Just something to keep in mind.

Maybe your attempt will work better. I gave that explanation a shot on a previous page and didn't seem to phase anyone.

This hatred of absolutely EVERYTHING government has gotten so extreme, it's almost a religion to some people it seems. As if criminals simply don't exist anymore, so cops are entirely unnecessary and stupid to have around. Lets not even consider that there are VERY International elements NEAR Occupy and very much turning peaceful marches into violent ones.

The March last October in St Louis was a peaceful one and the cops the Occupy STL had GOOD relations with right to the end were relaxed and didn't expect to be attacked. It was Black Bloc people who literally menaced and threatened them right back into the Justice Center. Oh... funny and lots of amusement except cops don't respond well to being scared and it almost got real ugly for Occupy that night.....I heard MANY Occupy members cuss that whole group and they weren't around long before moving off to another location.

So.. maybe you can help highlight what kind of organization they were going after here.

It finally happened, and it's not gonna get very good in the next months...
It was revealed a couple of years ago as the Project Rex 84, but nobody believed that the government could do this. And it was started when Obama signed the S-1867 NDAA Bill a year ago, where he permitted the government to arrest people and seize their belongings without the citizens' right to stop them with the Constitutional Laws.
Now, the question would be: how the hell are we gonna stop this. It's not like in the movies, these guys have decades of technologies more advanced from what they show us.

This is the "gets bad".

When the Government can invade my home because of my views on said Government. Arrest me for somthing I may have said here on ATS. Or other sites, It's time to go. Freedom, it's becoming just another word. I hope all of you guys the best. I plan on sitting tonight and signing off ATS with a thread to thanks those who I befriended and apologise to those I may have offended.

Not that you view isn't accurate, but many will still see you as a 'whacko', 'gun nut', 'teabagger' and eventually 'terrorist'.
There are still far too many people that have been lulled to sleep by the government propaganda, so they will be hauling people to prison for having a car that is painted the wrong color and a majority of Americans will applaud the government for keeping us safe.

I spent some time back in the spring trying to illuminate Black Bloc and their hand in hand efforts with certain elements within Occupy. Some occupy factions disowned Black Bloc others didn't. Those that didn't even suggested that it was time to change techniques.

Elements of OWS who objected to participation in a march with a permit have called for demonstrators to engage in disruptive activities including:

A “Wildcat March” in which protesters distinct from the labor-dominated march would march without a permit, potentially disrupting pedestrian and vehicular traffic beginning at 1:00pm at Sara D. Roosevelt Park (2nd Avenue and E. Houston Street). Organizers of this action have advocated the use of so-called “Black-Bloc” tactics to confront the police, sometimes violently, like those experienced during the G-20 summit in Pittsburgh in 2009, in which barricades, rocks, and trash bins were used in clashes with law enforcement;
A “Bike Bloc,” in which relatively small groups of cyclists would be instructed to try to tie up automotive traffic. The cyclists would leave Union Square at 9:00am and attempt to randomly disrupt traffic;
Attempts to block Manhattan-bound automotive traffic at bridges and tunnels, as well as protesters attempting to block ferry passengers;
A “NYC Hoodie March Against Police Violence,” which will occur at the same time and place as the “Wildcat March”
A “High School Walk Out,” in which high school students will leave class at noon and congregate at Fort Greene park in Brooklyn for a May Day BBQ
Picket lines staged in front of various businesses across the five boroughs.

The flyer also makes mention of the type of more violent activity that was seen recently this month in NYC:

There are fissures within OWS, but a “respect for diversity of tactics,” which includes everything from peaceful protests to the kind of vandalism directed at Starbucks in April, when demonstrators tried to smash the windows at the Starbucks location at Astor Place, has been embraced by the movement.

Be reminded that the incident at Starbucks this month also resulted in the arrest of several anarchists, including one long-time Occupy protester, for the alleged attack on a NYPD officer with a metal pipe.

People only see what they want to see regardless of the glaring facts and the glaring truth.

First they came for the Japanese, but I said nothing, I was not one of them.
Then they came for the Muslims, but I said nothing, I was not one of them.
Then they came for the Anarchists (OWS), but I said nothing, I have a job.
Then they came for me, and there was no one left to speak out.

This is just a natural extension of the policies in place for decades, you can't really be that surprised that this surveillance apparatus has been directed back at you, the American public.

Maybe more people should have listened to those stupid socialist commie leftist liberals.....

Then again, it's two sides of the same coin, go figure.

I followed the link and read the posted image. It appears that this was an investigation into a riot these people might have been connected to....

So yeah.. It's a little different than they posted anti government comments and got raided, it appears they are rounding up potential suspects.

It even says, right on the page, that the clothing, paints, and other weird items that may have been used during the commission of the crime (riot, damaging government property).

YEs, it's still insane, but it's a little different that what you guys are all going off on, looks to me like they had an informant in contact with some of these people.

Its ok to be an anarchist. As long as your not a criminal anarchist. Plenty of criminal dems, reps and indy's that get caught and go to jail for a variety of unlawful actions.

If the people that had their home raided were involved in the riots, they still have constitutional protected rights. I see the paper was specific in what was to be searched for. However, even having all those items on the list does not mean that person was involved in the destruction of property. If any person that had their home raided and are innocent, I hope they get a good lawyer and sue.

Oh man, guys if I suddenly disappear from the wonderful sanctuary of ATS we all share, they've came and got me. I tend to express some pretty radical opinions, share literature and articles that openly attack and dismantle governments, and their actions. Attempt at any opportunity to spread awareness much as we all do here, openly. If this # is for real, I'm easily a domestic terrorist. The things I say, the emotions I convey and the passion for change could very well land me arrested along with others this way.

I can't believe the article! This is for real right? Like I haven't been had but cleaver trickery?

Black Bloc is a group now? I thought it was just a method like a "sit in" or self immolation?

Violent protesting including vandalism always seemed suspect to me. They are counter-productive. So I tend to believe that they are sparked off by infiltrators.

The best form of protest is a unified hard-taget like what the Panthers did before Cointel-Pro destroyed them. It's what the colonists did leading up to the revolution.

Just stand there with a rifle on your back. Hard-target defense position.
Nobody will hose you, tase you or spray you.
Nobody will start in trying to escalate the situation.
Just stand there.

Yes it seems after such monstrosities as the patriot act and other amendment slaying laws the Gov. can do as it wants to suppress our god given right to question our ruling class. This is just another example of the political machine in action. Local law enforcement should have handled this. I see political motivation written all over this. It seems they have already gained full control over the masses who care more about reality shows and pop stars, and the latest greatest gadget. Who will stand up, I know I will. A very wise man once said "The tree of Liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of Patriots.

Starting to look like this thread is a target of forum sliding........

Iknow its a bit off topic, but if you look at the recent posts thread etc.........this thing doesnt even show up.........

Or hasnt for me.....

This is very important people, you may not agree with the people targeted in this, but that doesnt make this any less of a violation..........

I stressed on a thread days ago, to no avail, and to people who wouldnt listen.........that when the people who would be your judge and jury, get to decide what classifies you as a terrorist, you are doomed, that crooked things happen......

They didnt listen..........

This is the perfect example..........and it will get worse, and the penalties will get higher, and the bar will be set lower.......

People..........the stuff weve been telling you is true, and is coming.........and weve been ignored.........

Be asleep no longer

Wouldnt it be ironic if they placed a US Constitution (aka "citizen's rule book") on that list.

I thought we all lived in a Democracy... Or are supposed to anyway.

No , A democratic republic...big difference... a democracy is where majority rules... which means if the majority wants to lynch someone they can do it. A republic has protections built in so the minority has protections from the majority... like say, three wolves and a lamb are voting what to have for dinner... A republic system will not permit the wolves to vote to eat the lamb.... the lamb is protected from harm. I'm sure someone could explain it better but, a republic has safeguards, democracy doesn't have for the minority.
