In all fairness, it's pretty clever. Aside from all the really predictable stereotypes, there is a lot of drama and interesting use of light, pyro and technology.

No, they filmed the queen earlier in a dramatic sequence, then filmed a double in the helicopter, then had two people jump out of the helicopter over the stadium live, just before the Queen arrived.

She really did the acting bit, and then turned up. Everything in-between was doubles, recorded and stunts.

but they said on the tv it represents the end of the dinasours, the dancers being the dinasors, being fried by the sun
