Olympic Opening Ceremony (LIVE THREAD)

The Olympic Opening Ceremony is starting now. 4PM EST. It will be delayed cast tonight on NBC.

I am watching it online and will post what I see in the cast as it related to the conspiracy theories discussed.

Started with some dancing around the Asherah Pole. Then on to a video which went by very fast, I'm sure there were some subliminal in that.

Next - sort of a "shire" theme. Looks more like Frodo in his village. Kids singing Danny Boy all across England over clips of soccer.

A horse carriage coming in to the stadium. Carriage says "General XXXX Company" couldn't see the XXXX part.

I am so mad that they are not televising it live.

So far it looks like it was put together by a group of confused children ! i'll watch a bit more before I completely condemn it.

I'm in the UK and watching this live, all I see is a lot of really bland and boring stereotypical imagery that doesn't actually relate to the UK in reality.

A lot of this is more embarrassing that interesting.
