He's not going to force you to believe in Him or appreciate the sacrifice He made for you
But you will burn in hell for all eternity unless you come round to his way of thinking right?

Hahaha. You gotta love the strange notions of religious duality by the blind. It is so hilarious.

I have to say the name according to some Christians but at the same time:
Faith without works is dead.

The same Christians that can read the below passage and still belive in a dualitydriven god when Jesus is preaching nonduality.

Matthew 25:31-46

New International Version (NIV)

The Sheep and the Goats

31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life. ”

Obey the golden rule to do onto others what you want done onto you and you will be fine.

Trick question. Who is this passage talking about hm?

Personally, I think spirituality and religion are two different things, there are some cross over points, but as a whole...

I live my life by "Live and let live". Don't bother me, I'm not going to bother you. I just want to live my life in my bubble, where I can enjoy the things I want to enjoy, raise my family well, and die knowing I did the best I could, under my own steam.

So what makes you different than fanatical Christians? You have a different belief system and it ticks you off that there are so many who disagree with you. You can't stand it that someone will express themselves on their own PERSONAL Facebook page. The nerve of them!

"I know it pisses off christians to hear people like me come out of the shadows and speak their minds, but I don't care anymore how sensitive I should be, some things are just absolutely wrong." Ahhh, I see, you are the all wise one. How could I have been so blind. No, in all actuality you are just a bully. You are just ranting against a group of individuals because they believe differently. That's it. There is nothing to your post beyond that.

Let me ask you, did these individuals come to you and force you to read what they wrote? Did they hijack your computer? Or did you take it upon yourself to go looking for this information, allow yourself to get angry over what you read and then yell about how angry you are? Sounds like a personal issue to me.

Now I want you to know that I am an atheist. Never has been a God and never will be. But am I so arrogant to say that others can't believe in God? No, as it doesn't change who I am. My parents are religious and they respect my beliefs. Do they pray for me? I'm sure they do. But the way I see is there is no divine being that is going to try and influence me and it makes them feel better. A win-win for me.

So, please stop getting ticked off at people who don't believe as you do (Leave that for the Christians), and just be comfortable knowing that what you believe is right for you. Insulting others just makes you look like... well you get the idea. My motto is 'Morality Without Deity'. We do not need a God to let us know what is right, we should just know what is right by being human.

Take Care.

No that is human ego and human duality perception of reality in all forms be it religon/culture/political life/racism/nationalism. Religous smallminded views are only part of the problem and normaly the fault lies in the practitioners not the spiritual knowledge that is there. A true Christian is meant to love all soulbrothers and soulsisters. (And the true christians are of all religious views and no religon).

technique #1 - 'FORUM SLIDING'

If a very sensitive posting of a critical nature has been posted on a forum - it can be quickly removed from public view by 'forum sliding.' In this technique a number of unrelated posts are quietly prepositioned on the forum and allowed to 'age.' Each of these misdirectional forum postings can then be called upon at will to trigger a 'forum slide.' The second requirement is that several fake accounts exist, which can be called upon, to ensure that this technique is not exposed to the public. To trigger a 'forum slide' and 'flush' the critical post out of public view it is simply a matter of logging into each account both real and fake and then 'replying' to prepositined postings with a simple 1 or 2 line comment. This brings the unrelated postings to the top of the forum list, and the critical posting 'slides' down the front page, and quickly out of public view. Although it is difficult or impossible to censor the posting it is now lost in a sea of unrelated and unuseful postings. By this means it becomes effective to keep the readers of the forum reading unrelated and non-issue items.

What people create to bump real news of the forum.
How petty how sad we fall to these silly storys

Basically, the reason Jesus had to die for our sins was so that we could be forgiven and go to be with the Lord. Jesus is God in flesh (John 1:1,14; Col. 2:9) and only God can satisfy the Law requirements of a perfect life and perfect sacrifice that cleanses us of our sins.

All people have sinned against God. But, God is infinitely holy and righteous. He must punish the sinner, the Law- breaker. If He didn't, then His law is not Law for there is no law that is a law without a punishment. The punishment for breaking the Law is death, separation from God. Therefore, we sinners need a way to escape the righteous judgment of God. Since we are stained by sin and cannot keep the Law of God, then the only one who could do what we cannot is God Himself. That is why Jesus is God in flesh. He is both divine and human. He was made under the Law (Gal. 4:4) and He fulfilled it perfectly. Therefore, His sacrifice to God the Father on our behalf is of infinite value and is sufficient to cleanse all people from their sins and undo the offense to God.

People who do bad things to children are not Christians, they may call themselves that but they are not, sort of a false flag from the evil one

Are you trying to tell us, that once an individual becomes a Christian, sin ceases to exist in their lives, or just the really bad sins?

I just said that the story of Christ as a person makes the perfect roll model.

I thought his name was Jesus, or something like that. Christ is another thing altogether.

How in the world is Jesus a role model? He was born from a virgin, never held a job, practiced magic and necromancy and took alms from strangers. He hung around with people your parents warned you against and then was murdered by an angry mob for sedition.

Is this the role model you teach little children to imitate?

Oh, and I never listen to stupid proverbs

Too bad. 'cuz Proverbs and Ecclesiastics are the only 2 books that are any good!

IMHO

The Bible is hilarious, but not as funny as the people trying to interpret it,

Such as the declared Saviour that was supposed to be named Emmanuel, but somehow they changed it to Jesus.

Is that not a sin ??

Anyways, it will not be long at all before the full reality comes out that no Creator "God" has anything to do with any of the religions of earth, and not even spirituality per se.

Wake up and realize that you are all you need...to find the path to WHATEVER it is you need to do, here.

I am not going to chastise you for your rant like so many people want to do anymore. Listen guys, don't tell him he doesn't have to read the Jesus posts and blah blah blah, he obviously knows this, he was obviously intending to go to a deeper lever with the comments. Now that this rant is over, onto the subject.
I feel the same way about just being tired of the Jesus comments. My reasons are because my family is completely wrapped up in it! Some may say, oh, well that's good for them right? How about wrong.
Me and my family do not have a close relationship anymore because of this "Jesus" idea. My mom only wants to warn me that I may possibly burn in hell while my brothers follow suit. It is very annoying when every other conversation leads to "You should probably think about getting back in church." or "The end times are soon and I don't want you to be left behind." I am sure not every family situation is like this, but I am sure there are some that are much worse.
Why does it bother me?
When you truly TRULY understand what the potential for mankind as a whole to achieve is, things that so obviously keep the masses suppressed like religion truly weigh the head down.
Some Americans claim this is a christian nation. And these idea trickles down into policy in our own governement. This idea is sickening. And it is unfair.
So, when I see a "Jesus" comment, I can't help but think about the big picture every now and then, and sometimes it gets me down.
Done.
Peace and Love!

You seem to be throwing around a higher ideal here; nobler or of more worth for a hurting humanity. Care to share your actions with us when it comes to helping others? Give some context to your words against a man that did more to change the world than anyone who has ever lived. Jesus defined what it means to love others--even enemies. Put your words into action for us so we can get a sense for how your mindset helps others. Actions carry more meaning than worlds. Are you willing to put your own self aside and roll up your sleeves to help a hurting world alongside a Christian? The Christians I know would go to the ends of the earth for you if you were asking for help. Judgment would be the last thing on their minds, no matter your lot in life. Do your own words demonstrate this level of character?

Most people on ATS get the sense that Christians are judging them. I see rants like this and then accusations against Christians that suggest we are saying something in judgment. In reality, you can only judge yourself by the contrast in the mirror. If you don't like what you see, change it in yourself first. Go back and read my words here. I have not judged you, but the subject of what it means to be a servant leader in a dying world might reflect something in yourself that needs to be changed. That has nothing to do with me. If you judge me with prejudice and hate, you are only judging yourself.

You make good points and I don't mean to detract from them by focusing specifically on what i'm about to say.
Without getting into a pissing contest, I do my best daily to ensure people around me feel happy, a lot of the time at the expense of my own.

Care to share your actions with us when it comes to helping others?

I don't have parents. I was raised by my grandparents, my mom was working so I never saw her much, and then one day moved away. I was poor living with her, taking care of my sister.
My grandparents are my dad's parents, and he left me when I was born. They took me in when they didn't have to at all. They taught me the meaning of a great deal of things, but that always stuck.
Now the tables have turned, and it is I who has been placed in their position.

If you don't like what you see, change it in yourself first.

I have and that's why I made that thread. I was subject to Christianity as a child.
You don't need Jesus to be a good person, or that he died for our sins or any of it, it's all a lie.
The real sin is believing in something so foolish because everyone else does.
Love everyone. period. not thank you jesus, thank you EVERYONE.
