The power of Christ compels you

The power of Christ compels you

The power of "knowledge/higher conciousness" compels me? Maybe
.

What knowledge??? All they do is spit the same lines out over and over again...
Maybe consciousness sure, if they are truly loving etc, which is not always the case..

Trust me if they are feeling the connection (if they are) then they are not hurting a fly if not provoked. Never poke the bear of what the bear protects. You can be an asshole also even if you are feeling the light. But that is the ego/mind
.

If you're son, daughter, friend, brother or sister, any one you knew grew up believing in their imaginary friend, wouldn't you feel concerned about them taking that into adulthood? You wouldn't intervene if possible?

We can only be so tolerant...then it becomes a burden.

We need to teach people that that connection can be felt through other more realistic means..
not through a fake saviour, it's playing with real people's real emotions and feelings, time, etc..
Something has to change.

He's not going to force you to believe in Him or appreciate the sacrifice He made for you
But you will burn in hell for all eternity unless you come round to his way of thinking right?

Hahaha. You gotta love the strange notions of religious duality by the blind. It is so hilarious.

I have to say the name according to some Christians but at the same time:
Faith without works is dead.

The same Christians that can read the below passage and still belive in a dualitydriven god when Jesus is preaching nonduality.

Matthew 25:31-46

New International Version (NIV)

The Sheep and the Goats

31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life. ”

Obey the golden rule to do onto others what you want done onto you and you will be fine.

I know he does if he is what I think he is and I love him to in my own way. How can I not? He is a beloved soulbrother just like Buddha. A part of the whole changing the whole. But I would never call him lord. Trust me I think it is something you never should call a beloved one and calling them it is a insult from my point of view. It implies duality/differnece where there should be none.

I can't say for sure if Jesus existed because I wasn't around if/when he was. Jesus is alive in my heart though because regardless of whether he existed or not, the story of a man or living spirit of God as a role model for humanity is simply the most beautiful goal any human being could to try attain. You really shouldn't label people as delusional for being idealists.

People who do bad things to children are not Christians, they may call themselves that but they are not, sort of a false flag from the evil one

I know it pisses off christians to hear people like me come out of the shadows and speak their minds, but I don't care anymore how sensitive I should be, some things are just absolutely wrong.

Old saying I know, It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.

You don't need a Jesus to have ideals and be a good person. You certainly don't need to mention him at every possible occasion.

Old saying I know, It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.

Why didn't you listen to it?

The problem is when your imaginary friend responds back
. If this was two years ago then I would have been close to an ateist. Today I know better the nature of reality. But yes I agree less faith and more seeking/questioning/understanding from my point of view so you get proof of your ideas.

I rather show my ignorance and hope somebody helps me find my way. It works quite well for me.

Probably the first time I ever mentioned his name on ATS, I don't preach but I will defend a friend.
I didn't say that you couldn't be a good person and idealistic without Jesus as a roll model, I just said that the story of Christ as a person makes the perfect roll model.

Oh, and I never listen to stupid proverbs

You didn't learn from it, calling others that don't agree, a fool.

Jesus would turn the other cheek.

You just post them for others to listen to?

Sorry, you are quite correct. I shouldn't have used the proverb, my bad.

I just get a little heated when someone attacks people I love, I still have a long way to go.

You don't have to read all of that Jesus stuff.

You know that right?

thats not the point, it shouldn't even exist the way it does.. you're telling me to ignore it, how can I when it's ingrained into our society's culture??
how do you ignore anything you don't like?typical, look up tolerance in the dictionary.(clue...doesn't mean you have to like it,just tolerate it.)

Tolerate pedophilia and crackheads.

Just tolerate drunk drivers, please.

Let's start tolerating everything because of how nice it sounds!!!

We need to really get out of that mindset and tolerate things that MAKE SENSE

What you are saying is the same thing that was said about African Americans at one time in this country. Prejudice is judgment of others by placing our own standard above them. When we make ourselves the judge, we are saying that we are better than the ones we judge. The Christians I know go to the ends of the earth helping others--literally. I read your words and wonder if you are willing to do the same.

In our church, we send mission groups to all parts of the world building schools and hospitals. We send millions of dollars of aid around the world yearly. Our local church alone provides school supplies, clothing, food and assistance to needy people in our community each week. Each year, we see changed lives. We see homeless mothers finding work and assistance for schooling. We see alcoholics and drug users being healed of their addictions by the fellowship and caring they find by networking with believers. We see single parent households networking with Christian families to find help raising their children. We see shut-ins being fed meals weekly. We see homes of elderly being repaired through our loving thy neighbor campaign. The donations from the Baptist mission board funded my brother's work to plant churches up a river in South America. Today, those churches run themselves and are the source of aid and medical care for countless children and families.

You seem to be throwing around a higher ideal here; nobler or of more worth for a hurting humanity. Care to share your actions with us when it comes to helping others? Give some context to your words against a man that did more to change the world than anyone who has ever lived. Jesus defined what it means to love others--even enemies. Put your words into action for us so we can get a sense for how your mindset helps others. Actions carry more meaning than worlds. Are you willing to put your own self aside and roll up your sleeves to help a hurting world alongside a Christian? The Christians I know would go to the ends of the earth for you if you were asking for help. Judgment would be the last thing on their minds, no matter your lot in life. Do your own words demonstrate this level of character?

Most people on ATS get the sense that Christians are judging them. I see rants like this and then accusations against Christians that suggest we are saying something in judgment. In reality, you can only judge yourself by the contrast in the mirror. If you don't like what you see, change it in yourself first. Go back and read my words here. I have not judged you, but the subject of what it means to be a servant leader in a dying world might reflect something in yourself that needs to be changed. That has nothing to do with me. If you judge me with prejudice and hate, you are only judging yourself.

Maybe you have an incorrect perception from Facebook. Do a search on youtube for Christian Missions instead.

Look, I could understand your reaction looking from your standpoint and it is very admirable that you would admit that you were wrong to do so. I think that shows that you are well on your way to be the person you want to be.

In fact I could've made my point in a different tone too but I just don't like to get preached at and get standard lines thrown at me that mean nothing to me, and never get explained if you ask about them.

Sorry about that.

Well Jesus still loves you. He's standing at the door of your heart, knocking, and waiting patiently for you to answer. He's not going to force you to believe in Him or appreciate the sacrifice He made for you so that you need not pay the price for your own sins; which is death in case you didn't know.

He sacrificed His life for yours. If you can just ignore that, or if you feel no gratitude, then I'd say you're already dead inside; but the cool thing is, you can be reborn! It's a gift, to you, from God. Why not accept it?

If Jesus is so awesome, where is he now? Whilst 1000's of kids are getting raped and maimed 'as we speak'...

Actually, don't answer., I already know the drivel that's been brainwashed into your little mind.

Yup, too much Jesus talk by the unquestioning and literal minded can be hard to take. Some of the Jesus freaks are nice people, but hard to put up with nonetheless. You sound recently disillusioned. Just try not to alienate the people in your life, who you may otherwise need, like or love, that are not going to ever listen to sense about religious bs.

I like to indulge my strong feelings in kick ass rock 'n roll:

One of the most tossed around lines that is never explained.

How and why did he die for my sins? I don't get that.

Is he a Jehovas witness?
