This is the only Masonic organization for males under the minimum Grand Lodge (typically 18-21, depending on location) age requirement. It's a good group, may not make you the coolest guy at school, but who cares?

DeMolay is a great organization. some of my best memories from my teen
years are from DeMolay and from revisiting some of the activities as a senior
DeMolay and chapter advisor a few years later.

also like Masonry you get out of it what you put into it.

DeMolay

It would depend where the young man is. There is no DeMolay in the UK as far as I know.

So it would be interesting to know where abouts foobar is.

Here's the Grand Lodge of Missouri's (higher people in your vernacular) website page on youth groups.

Ow - sounds really painful Foobar. Hope you have a speedy recovery.

Masonry accepts men from the age of 21 - some areas will accept men from the age of 18 if their father was a freemasons too, but not all.
In the US there are associated groups too, like DeMolay and Jobs Daughters, OES, Shriners, etc.

Some Constitutions will accept 18 year olds, Lewis or not.
