She is not a 6-10 year old.

She is a 10 year old. Plenty old enough for complex critical thought.

Yes. That was in the same curriculum. To know if you are a boy or girl.

A curriculum I read.

What exactly is your background in research and child development? How do you know this and what information do you have to support it?

I know for a fact that they teach them more than that. They discuss the basics and as the children get into middle school they go into a great deal more detail. I personally have seen demonstrations of how to use a condom given with a banana in a public school.

I hope you have a talk with her and say she shouldn't worry about these things now and to forget about them. I don't know how you can reverse it but please try. I'm not against conspiracy theories, I believe in quite a few. Exposing her to these things at such a young age is very very dangerous.

The fact that you started telling her when she was 6...it's just wrong. Please reconsider what you are doing and try make it right for now, and when she is say 15 then expose her to all this # again.

You need to remember it was a 14 year old talking about stuff to her around 7 year old sister...both kids. Did you have an older sibling when you was 7ish? Did they know not to tell you heavy stuff?

By saying he "needs to remember..." are you saying a kid who is indoctrinating his sister and robbing her of the chance to think for herself shouldn't be "reprimanded" for doing so? This kid's parents obviously fail to see the damage he is doing to his sister, and they're the ones who should have been stopping him. He's obviously too young / inexperienced to realize thr negative he is doing to her, so maybe enough scolding here will help him to realize and hopefully right the wrong he has done.

I know this isn't exactly the subject of the post, but that's what it has become. Probably partially becuase its so urgent and important for the young girl's psyche and future, and partially because the premise of the post is highly dubious. It normally takes a physical altercation for any chance at a suspension, especially among 10 year olds. If I'm wrong, then this principal simply hates his/her job and pension because it was obviously put at risk by such a radical move, but this reads as one of the most poorly constructed fables I've yet seen on the site.

So they teach them how bananas have sex? Do they insert the banana into anything???

What was your major and how many classes did you take pertaining to human growth and development?
With an education, you should be able to handle the information presented here based on reseach: plato.stanford.edu...

going to school doesnt teach you to raise children

raising children teaches you to raise children. your own way with your own values, and keeping other people ideas out of it.

Kids in middle school understand exactly where the "banana" is to be inserted. They even understand why it is important to wrap the banana.

You have a problem with a pre-teen learning to use a condom properly?

I'm raising a 12 year old girl - - near the beach - - a stone throws from Hollywood CA.

If there is going to be any over-the-top sexual education - - it would be here. It isn't. Everything is age appropriate.

She has been exposed to these conspiracies from the age of 6 to 10.

No, 10 year olds are not capable of complex critical thinking, many adults arn't even capable of it. I'm not saying they are dumb. You get smart children but there is a reason they are "children".

Leave the child to be a child, and by all means shape her to develop critical thinking, but don't throw a 10 year old in a deep-end many adults don't want to get in and where many others drown.

No and I never said that I did.

I have a problem with people teaching inappropriate things to kindergartners. I have a problem with government usurping the rights of parents to teach moral values as they see fit. I am distinguishing between moral values and age appropriate sexual education. You stated I have an issue that I do not have. I just do not agree with you,.

I tend to stick to the side of children instead of bitter educators. I'm a young girl has a million better things to do with her life than waste time finding out ways to get digs at a teacher.

And yet, here she is, suspended for taking a dig at her teacher.

My grandson understood this when he was 7. What am I going to tell him - - babies are found under a cabbage leaf?

We bought him a book written for young children that explains the whole process of where a baby comes from - - and how it is fertilized.

The book used ducks - I think for explaining the actual act of procreation - - - but then explained that humans do the same thing.

How do you feel about a sibling, a teenager, doing that teaching instead of the parents?

Teaching her anything outside of the "national curriculum" would be wrong! Yeh right.

She is most likely getting an education, and anyone who says she regurgitates the information, that's exactly the same effect the school has, a system of mimicry. Instead she wouldn't be denied critical thinking and creative thinking, empowering her questioning capabilities and allowing her mind the ability to grow substantially in a free UN-indoctrinated form.

When states in USA start lowering the grades for their regurgitation system by 20% to further limit someones, mindset, its people like the OP that provide more real world information.

Hope I made sense, I am freaaaking tired.

Peace.
