Cat Flap: Dead Pet Turned Into Helicopter

news.sky.com

An artist has turned his cat into a flying helicopter after it was killed by a car.

Dutchman Bart Jansen stuffed Orville before teaming up with a radio control helicopter expert to attach propellers to each of its four paws.

Absolutely brilliant piece of imaginative and creative thinking here, bet our feathered friends are really crapping themselves now lol. Wonder if this was like a eureka moment for this guy, anyway it's somewhat freaky looking and it would be hilarious to see this approach a flock of birds or something :-).

The kitty copter wouldn't even lift off the ground lol but it was ridiculously funny that the audience loved it and were cheering it on

Sorry, I don't think this is funny, clever, or respectful of this pet's memory.

Would he do that if his child died? What about his grandma? I wouldn't do this to a possum I found dead on the road, much less a loved pet.

Incredibly distasteful and disturbing use of a corpse.

S&F for something that's just so wrong!

I was horrified by the story, but when I played the video I burst out laughing.
Thank you.

It always starts with the cat!

Where is Grandma by the way?

Very disturbing and warped mind to want to do such a thing!

I'm of the opinion that once a life ends it leaves behind an empty shell.

Although, may I add, I do not believe in religion

As an artist, I am very opposed to this. Should I string you up like that when you die? Gosh the minds of some people are so fking warped, it's beyond expression. I used to be a cat owner and this is very offending. I would taxidermy my cat in the position he was always loved, but not like this. This is just so fking cruel beyond recognition. After that image, I'm at a loss and I am not reading the article to hear their stupid excuses. Makes me furious right now.

Agreed.. this is sick! I don't know how this can be classified as art
poor kitty... his corpse should not be disrespected and used in this manner

if i had a cat that always liked to chase the birds i'd think this would be a nice way to remember them by still having them chase birds even after death

Rest in peace, Felix.

My god that's the saddest, most hilarious thing I've ever seen.

I can just imagine a cat coming up with a crazy scheme to reach a birds nest or something. Shame the poor thing got ran over though. I guess Orville will be remembered in life and in death as he lives on as a helicopter, the first postmortem feline aviator.

This is quality desktop background material right here.

I remember when one of my cats was run over and killed. We found him lying in the curb and i tried to hide it from my daughter. I am not ashamed to say that my eyes were full of tears while i buried him in my back garden.

The person who done this "art" must have psychopathic tendencies... to turn the remains of his feline companion into a warped joke...

I appreciate this must have been difficult for you, however death is a part of life. His cat/pet, therefore he can do what he likes with the body imo.
