The states do make their own laws...where have you been...we have states rights in the United States thats why we are not the State of America...

The 10th Amendment to the United States Constitution is a guarantee of States' rights. The Constitution designed the federal government to be a government of limited and enumerated, or listed, powers. This means that the federal government only has powers over the things that are specifically given to it in the Constitution. All other powers are reserved to the States. The 10th Amendment in the Bill of Rights reads like this: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people." I support the office of the president. the only problem is the last we the people elected a president was in 1960,.
for your information - they killed him. and you have not been allowed to support a president since. because your vote does not matter other than the fact that you voted -- they took it from there ...

Blindly supporting the man that is the president does a disservice to our country...in order to respect the office it is up to we the people to ensure the man is there legally and continues to follow the law while in office,,,we are in charge not him.

I would say 45 if Congress drags its feet. I noticed that when we want something done - it takes decades if ever, but when they want something like Facebook guy who gave up his citizenship - they got to that issue in what 3 days... I guess that speaks volumes .... sigh~!

First, President Obama will not be re-elected if history repeats itself. No President has been re-elected after such a recession.

Second, eligibility may prevent him from being re-elected if they find that he is not natural-born.

so sad that ordinary people prostrate themselves like this for their "leaders"- I could excuse that sort of comment in North Korea, but not in the relatively free US

Don't let anyone discourage you on the birther issue by claiming "Racism"...

This is how we wound up in this mess, this is how the mess keeps getting bigger by the day.

Hey! Can't talk about Obama cause that would be racist!

Hey! Can't say how you really feel about things that have occurred in this administration because it makes you a racist!

Hey! You can't ask why Obama does anything he does because that makes you a filthy racist!

Don't complain about the economy...
Don't ask about anything personal from his past or present...
Don't ask him to clarify anything...
Keep your mouth shut, keep your head down, take it like a REAL American or by God, YOU are a RACIST.

THIS is exactly what was supposed to happen. Most are scared to say anything at all about Obama for fear of being labeled in this way, and that is EXACTLY what they wanted and expected. Well played. Score one for their team.

I am sick of it myself. Just sick. If I never hear the word racist again, I would die a little happier.

It's not worse off than four years ago. Job prospects were far worse four years ago. The stock market was a disaster and it was impossible to sell a home. I would argue the unemployment was just as high during the last half of the Bush administration, but the lack of extended benefits during much of it hid the real numbers of unemployed who were no longer collecting unemployment.

No, I am not an Obama worshiper. Give me a Republican like Reagan instead of these religious zealots or the corporate puppets than control the party now days and I would gladly vote for a Republican president again.

eh, bush wasn't elected either time, but he still got to be POTUS, elections don't matter anymore, haven't you heard?
1700 days left of Obama whether those on the opposite political side like it or not.

Yup, we're actually much better off then we were 4 years ago. I'm not crazy for Obama at all, but it does take a long time to clean up a major mess and the one that bush left behind was the worst one in history.
Not a big Obama supporter, I'm sure there are people out there who could clean up more quickly, but he's making progress in straightening out the horrible mess bush left us in.

What facts?

Please provide these facts you are speaking of.

Didn't you know if you keep recycling the same old birther crap then it's "new".

Kind of funny how the other two dual national presidents that America has had were never forced to produce a BC.

The reason why they keep pushing this crap is because the right has no chance in beating Obama in the next election and they know it.

Before people start saying RP the right hates him too because refuses to kneel to wall street and the military machine.

It's nothing but the old watch what the left hand is doing but pay no attention to what the right hand is doing.

The FACT that he has had Muslim background

I personally did not vote for him, not because Im white, not because he is black, but because he is a socialist at his roots and his Muslim background.

Since when is it illegal to be Muslim and President? Did I miss something?

More precisely : how many presidents have ever gone through this ?

White presidents : 43 asked for proof of birth : 0, percentage 0%
Black presidents : 1 asked for proof of birth : 1, percentage 100%

Hmmm, nothing suspicious there !

Given the nature of the US population (all immigrants or decendants of immigrants unless native indian) and the nature of presidential families (military, politician, overseas ambassadors etc) there is an exceedingly high chance that one the past white presidents was not eligible. So why is this charade not carried out for every president?
