I have three cats,and I love dogs,I love all animals.Don't waste your energy on obvious trolls like that A-hole Germanicus.Who the # defines what is,and what is not clean?Humans have pretty nasty germs in their mouths,and everyday objects they use.So since when are we the cleanest thing on this planet,and a standard for which we compare all other species,that is so arrogant.There is different cultures,and there is drawing the line at arresting dogs.How can anyone in their sane mind not like dogs???

Dogs are just dirty inbred morons at the end of the day? How ignorant of a statement. My dog is mostly likely smarter than you from how you talk. They are especially more loving and accepting than your bitter narrow minded ass. Dogs and Cats are both intelligent. To put one above the other is unfair. Dogs are used for cops, rescue animals, blind seeing dogs, and everything in between, and those things require intelligence. Just FYI. Also you exert a rudeness when expressing your opinion and downing others, it's really rather repulsive to read. I kind of hope a dog bites you sometime soon for your rude ignorant comments towards them. Peace.

Culture is a word that is often misused to describe a practice that is primitive, ancient and/or superstitious. What you are referring to as culture is just that.

Lilly, an 8-year-old pit bull, was with her owner when the woman fell unconscious on train tracks in Shirley, Mass., on May 3, according to ABC affiliate WCVB in Boston. Lilly managed to drag her owner, Christine Spain, off the tracks just before the train rumbled through. A happy cat will bring back food for its family, My cat tilly used to kill things for us constantly. I dont dislike cats what so ever, I just find dogs serve a crucial role in the world and they deserve a little more respect for it. Dogs save human lives everyday, cats......cats exist.

Actually, cats do learn tricks and other things also. I have 4 cats trained to stay in a fenced in yard. And I am planning to teach my Maine Coon Baby to fetch, high five, and shake paws. My friend just taught her Maine Coon youngster to do the high five, and shake paws.

My Maine Coon boy will actually mimic us when talking sometimes. He is always trying to communicate. Even calls out "ma" when he is happy to see me. Once he even said hello just like a parrott! Scared the dickens out of my daughter. What warmed my heart the most was when he tried to say I love you with the same intonations as me. Awww... Even taught him how to play peek-a-boo as a small lad. After me saying peek-a-boo, he would jump out around a corner just like a child would. And always with a boyish grin on his face. He just loved startling me! Maine Coons are unique.

Anyways, this is a fun to watch video to break the tension over the cat vs dog argument.

We rescued a maine coon. He was the sweetest, and most beautiful cat I have ever known, and I have owned many over the years. I love those cats. We couldn't keep him because we were at full capacity, but we found him a great home with a vet tech. We called him " Maxi-dean" ( from Beetlejuice). We miss him a lot.

Want to hear something cute? My 8 month Maine Coon baby gal was just crying. I ran to see what was wrong, and she was having a nightmare. Aww.... When this little gal first met me at the breeders, she jumped up to my face, embraced it tenderly with both paws, and gave me nearly 50 kissies on the lips. Kissies mind you, not licks. She greets me at the garage door after work every day. And she loves to be carried like a baby. In fact I have to carry her upstairs after she greets me every day. Etc.. etc... etc... The breed is nothing short of amazing.

I can totally understand how you would miss a Maine Coon you had known only for a short time. Massive, intelligent, sweet, bambi faced cats. That really don't look or act a whole lot like domestics.

And these people want nuclear weapons.....I have nothing against the Iranian people but their government officials all need to be lined up and bitch slapped repeatedly...religion is such a wonderful loving thing

Laughing at the dude that said cats are smarter than dogs. What a load of bs.. In some scientific circles there is speculation that dogs may be smarter than chimps. Dogs also have the ability to read human emotion. Dogs and humans also co-evolved together - so we are almost symbiotic.

On topic - any religious moral is questionable. Especially those Muslims; Mohamed was a murderous, pedophile charlatan who spoke rubbish.

This isn't news dude, every country is different, i personally don't like dogs myself im a muslim aswell. They are dirty especially keeping them in a house.. yuk =/

Don't know about the non islamic people, but keeping a dog in a house is pretty dirty.
Back to topic, iran is way over it's head, they are pretty stupid, yet so powerful at the same time. Sounds like America to me.

Explain exactly how they are dirty? Because I'm pretty sure that concept is just Muslim brainwashing.

I don't know why some of you are complaining to one of the members because he does'nt like dogs.....

I have a cat and a dog, and I don't particularly like either although I prefer cats over dogs even though I hate fleas on cats and dogs are dirty.

Dogs should only be used specifically to round up cattle and sheep on a farm and cats for rounding up rats & mice; that's all they're good for.

I have a coon hound border collie cross, her breeds were hearders and hunters, very smart, very sweet very clean dogs. Coon hounds are famous for their strength, intelligence, tree climbing ability, and their ability to find a scent trail in the air where as bloodhounds follow the ground. If their target climbs a tree they will go right up after them. Used to hunt anything from racoons, to Lions and Bears, it's an amazing intelligent loyal companion. Far better than a cat, to date she has eaten 3 cats, easily a dozen possums, one skunk, 3 racoons, and 4 of it's kittens, as well as chased a black bear and cubs up trees I had to call her away from that one that's a big mess, and I'd rather not pay to have her injuries fixed. I don't doubt she could have held her own, and that she was merely trying to protect myself and the misses, but I don't need a wounded or dead dog and an angry 6ft blackie trying to kill me afterwords.

Anyways, I can't understand the Muslims, dogs dirty? Dogs, dirtier than a man!!! That's preposterous! A human bite will fester and rot almost every time! This isn't the case with dogs, how ever I suppose that depends on the dog and it's health. Dog's are clean animals, cat's lick their own # out of their fur and god does their urine stink. I find dog urine almost has a salty smell where as cat piss smells like pure ammonia! I'm turning this into a big debate, I find cat's need far less work than dogs. Change litter which is disgusting, feed and water and your set. The cat will find you when it wants attention but most cats are more self entertained. Dogs, need to be fed and watered, you need to scoop the poop and throw it in the compost, or if the grass is long enough and you have a good mower, just mow the lawn ha ha. Walk them, play with them, love them and let them love you. It's not so much like that with cats. Dogs get depressed if they don't get worked, or played with they need to feel important in the family. With a cat, you're almost more or less his servant. You clean up after him and serve him and if he's happy with you he will reward you, if not he will crap in your shoes. My Fiance has two cats, I take care of them, they like me, when I don't feed them the right food they punish me or my dogs. it's a one sided see saw and they are happily on the top.

I feel every man and animal on this planet deserves to live together on the same scale. We are all animals, they are no greater or lesser than us. If you follow any religion god created all of this, and it's all his not ours, so treat the great creator with respect, and play nice with his things maybe he will do the same with you and yours. It's rather obvious, religion has far too much human influence, or how do the holier than thou's put it? Oh yes, different interpretations/translations. Every Muslim/easterner I've come across who " Doesn't like" dogs, reacts more with fear than disgust. I've actually been walking my dog, and an east indian looking fellow was walking on the same side of the road towards me, when he saw me and the dog both happily trotting along, her at my heel panting wagging her tail me with a smile. He ran across the street and went through a gate and closed it and waited for us to pass before he emerged and speedily continued on his way!!! Like wtf? Not the first overreaction I've seen either, which if you understand anything about dogs, running or acting like you're scared or doing something wrong only triggers a dogs instincts and will entice bad dogs to do bad things! Even Good dogs, react poorly to strange people acting out of place or out of what they are used to.
