that was a very sad and disturbing spectacle. the police were aggressively hostile towards Kelly from the get go. i suspect those officers are emboldened to extra levels of callousness when at work, by the apparent invulnerability of police officers to successful prosecution in alleged cases of police brutality, as demonstrated many times before, in many similar instances. sad but all too common.

that is not logical..

People who suffer from mental illness are generally not logical...

Even a dog has enough sense to get out
of the rain, this guy has more sense then a dog
and this guy would take a hotel and food..
it is not logical to think a hotel is not being locked up
or in a institute unless his father would ONLY HELP him
in the extreme case he stayed locked up..

Murder 1 for the two initial arresting officers, 2nd degree murder for every other officer on the scene thereafter! I see no reason for anyone to obey any law if these people kill at will!

Ask yourself this, do you think anyone should have the right to take your life because you did not produce ID on command? That is exactly what this boils down to!

I did not ignore your playing of both sides, I addressed your playing the wrong side when you played it. People have every right to be upset about the Fullerton Six incident, and this incident is far from an isolated incident where uniformed law enforcement ignore their oath of office in order to abuse someone. You have chosen to ignore that in order to castigate peoples genuine reaction to this horrendous crime. Some of those reactions are knee jerk, admittedly, but the difference between their knee jerk reaction and the four officers who joined the scene on July 5th of 2011 is that no member has killed anyone from their reaction.

Further, to assume I hate all cops because I abhor thugs regardless of any badge or uniform they may wear is plain ignorant. I have several friends in this site who are law enforcement personnel and I am certain they have not befriended me because they think I hate all cops.

Further it is not a shame that we have laws, nor is it a shame we have law enforcement. This is the foundation of civilization...something the Fullerton Six blatantly ignored.

You keep patting yourself on the back and calling yourself "HONEST", sport. Your willingness to excuse four thugs from criminality says it all.

enlightened individuals know better and those of you who are defending the officers actions or not acknowledging the wrong doing here are existing on a lower level of consciousness. One day you will grow and start to feel a new part of your consciousness that exists called compassion.

first off dont try to talk down to anyone and call yourself enlightened , because someon has a difference of opinion....

First off I never said I was enlightened.
Second your lack of empathy I was referring to is not a difference of opinion, its a mental disorder.

My lack of empathy stating that the cops shuld have known how to deal with a man who had schizophrenia instead of bludgeoning him to death?

Or the part where you asked me to provide proof that he had it and i did, and you went on to try and berate me and call me unsympathetic?

seriously , the reading comprehension around here somtimes baffles me

Not mentally ill dogs. Even mentally ill dogs have logic problems. Your willingness to diagnose a dead man is hardly evidence of logic or "sense" in the context you mean it.

There is no difference between getting help at his fathers home or being reliant on his father to provide a hotel room. If he wanted total freedom on the streets then there is nothing anybody could do short of locking him up.

Are you trying to excuse murder by cop through attacking Kelly's father for what you perceive to be negligence of a fully grown man whose father had attempted several times to get medical help for? Is this your game?

Lock them up, through away the key. A small town had the same problem with cops like them. A new police chief was hired. He fired all the cops and hired new police officers. A 4 year college degree was required to apply. No more problems. This was murder by stupidity!

After watching the video, the thing that stuck out to me the most was the primary officer's demeanor. He was standing there talking to Thomas while he had his baton out. In my old department that would almost be enough to get someone fired.

Watching how close the officer is standing to Thomas, leaning against the car etc. The officer didn't see Thomas as the slightest of threats.

I hope the officers involved get convicted, they are a disgrace to police everywhere.

I don't know all the government's rules for food stamps...if for some reason living on the street means you don't have access to food stamps, would you suggest that the role of this type of assistance is expanded?

FOR ONLY PEOPLE like this guy..
if this guy or homeless people cant
get help NO ONE SHOULD

When i see things like this it reminds me of predators in the wild who gang up on weaker
animals and kill them. The difference is animals in the wild do this for food and to survive.
Sad

I just looked it up you can get them through homeless shelters, but I think that may be the only way for homeless people to get them.

Either way, if he used them or not it didn't save him from being killed by the cops.

Now this is extremely sad to see,
I shed a tear for him. Poor guy was living in the streets and the "Keepers of Peace" did this to him

I was gonna go to CSU Fullerton but decided not to. Happened so close to the school. Poor guy...

And come on! When a grown man starts screaming for his father you know something is wrong

RIP
May the Force be with us all
