Hilary Rosen has the freedom to speak, and is alone responsible for her comment. As it was about political issues, her straightforward comment were intentioned towards economic issues, and not towards Ann as an invalid. But typical of straightforwardness, she left much of her intentions unsaid in the belief that listeners of that political discussion would had understood what she meant.

Unfortunately, the GOP had sought to use her comments create divisions within the nation, by using her words at face value as insulting ALL womanhood, which was not the case nor the intention.

Ann lives a life of priviledges that the 99% could never comprehend. Being the wife of a millionaire, every aspect of living is taken care of. Servants, doctors, lawyers, chauffers, bodyguards, baby sitters, tutors, nannies, array of serving staff for her every whim and fancy.

She is no lesser human than anyone of us or had done anything wrong.

The only issue is that such lifestyles alienates her from the suffering and pain currently in these post financial crisis times endured by many that do not enjoy priviledges such as her.

They have to work hard to climb the corporate ladder, compete in many forms against each other, and then when married, juggle career and home, or give up careers to looking after kids, balancing the budget, sharing responsibilities with the husband, save money for kids' education, etc, etc.

Can Ann Romney truly stand for the common American Woman today or even understand common american women today? It is not just all about just having and looking after 5 kids that guarantees such a pedestal, as the GOP and supporters are making it out to be.

A famous elite lady in the 17th Century, was claimed by her biographer to have famously said 'Let them eat cake' to starving french citizens when there was no food - an inhuman and callous indifference to the plight of the common masses.

History repeated itself today as we saw how the elites were given taxpayers money to bail themselves out, and then throwing lavish parties and paying huge bonus to themselves, while american masses had to lived in tents or face foreclosure, millions out of jobs and starving then. Debts were socialized, but profits privitised...

Can the elites and their supporters be trusted still?

Nothing personal with Mdm Ann Romney, but it would be questionable of her being the First Lady at this point of time, and if Mr Romney's gaffe of referring to her for economic advise, it would be a frightening situation to behold. When there is no bread, I am sure americans would never dare think of even cakes.

- Perception is reality -

Nancy Pelosi has already brainwashed Americans into believing the president

is responsible for high gas prices. You can't unring a bell.

---------
Just look at the charts.

As the price of gas goes up, the approval rating of the president goes down.

It is what it is.
--------
BTW, when President George W. Bush lifted the moratorium on off shore drilling

July 15, 2008 the speculators swung into action and forced down the price of gas

from $4.11 all the way down to $1.61 in just a few months.

Hilary Rosen just let the truth slip out.

She really does have a problem with women who stay home and take care of the kids.

Hilary Rosen does not consider being a Mom a job.

It's actually the most important job in America.

Our parents write on the slate of who we are.

This serious gaffe of hers has legs. It's not going away.

You are absolutely correct (which is why I hate this two party system)

The people...as much as I really hate-hate to say this....are sheep. Most of them have absolutely no clue how the markets work and when the pundits say "it's this guy or that guy's fault"....they grazing sheep listen!

I know...I can be harsh at times....I sometimes couple shock value into words of truth and wisdom. If you really thin k either of the "two parties" are going to offer a solution anytime soon....well I got some awesome real estate for sale....ocean front property in Arizona....

This War on Moms will just help us push a capitalist in the front door of the White House.

We have everything we need to make this nation thrive.

Free Market Capitalism is the most prosperous system ever devised by man.

That's why the USA is the most powerful and prosperous nation on Earth.

We are all forgetting that when he says " I talked to my Wife about....." What he really means is that he definitely never talks to his wife about any of this stuff and he is trying to seem normal.

It's obvious , you just need to look a little harder. All this other nonsense is to cause arguing and nothing more.

Focus Daniel Sons.

If he is old fashion, then there is no way he is consulting his wife with anything to do with politics or business at all.

That once again is another small lie by Romney. Don't worry though , he's not the only politician lying to you.

How can you people believe ANY politicians ?

Free Market Capitalism is the most prosperous system ever devised by man.

Clearly you never studied economics

Free market capitalism is a THEORETICAL concept that has NEVER been tested by any country in history!! You can't claim it's the "most prosperous system ever devised by man" as it has never been tested

You're simply parroting slogans without actually understanding the meaning of what you type...kinda like Sarah Palin when giving speeches

As the price of gas goes up, the approval rating of the president goes down.

CORRECT!!

...which is why it's soooooooooooooo moronic of you to claim Obama's responsible for high oil prices!!! Why on earth would he deliberately sabotage his own approval ratings in an ELECTION YEAR!!

For crying out loud, switch on your brain...just once, try it!

And even if you take her statement as the holy truth, I still don't understand how a "stay at home" mom married to a wealthy man can possibly understand the economics of this world.

oh please...don't try and be logical, it just gets in the way of the right-wing rants. besides, any woman that has had to earn a paycheck from working at a company, while raising kids at home, knows exactly what she was talking about. this false outrage is so transparent that it is hard not to laugh

LMAO....almost!

But the phrase "free market capitalism" is an oxymoron....like "military intelligence".

Capitalism allows a group of people to gather their money, leap into a market, and dominate it...that is not 'free market". "Free market" means....lets say I have a product or service and so does my competitor across the street. If he charges a dollar for such product or service and I charge $1.10 then I am only going to get his overflow and am not in charge of the scenario. If I charge $0.98, I will be in command of the market and can decide who I send in his direction and who I decide to negotiate with. The current system...though cleverly veiled...does not work this way.

Bless his heart, Teddy Roosevelt really tried to keep stuff like this from happening. he tried to stop the robber barons and the monopolies but...thanks to clever lawyers....folks found a way around those things. GE is a titan...an abomination of everything we as Americans should be against. They buy and sell....good companies....for a dollar...just to remove the competition...this is bad-bad business.

We have everything we need in this nation to thrive...

Absolutely!

Which is why when people busted on Ron Paul because his foreign policy was laughable...."we don't need the stinking world markets...we can command them". RP...though i didn't agree with a lot of his positions...had a few things dead on solid...no brainer...correct. I so wished that dude had a better chance...despite his craziness. I voted RP in 08 and I voted for him in the primaries. Why? My vote is the only voice I have and I chose to use it to make a statement...."none of the above"...is my position. The Libertarian Candidate is weak....I wish he had a spine and a voice...but sadly...he doesn't.

I am a Libertarian and proud of it. I believe in big freedom and small government. If you look back....all of our founding fathers were actually Libertarians....they wanted to allow people to run their own lives.

That is not to say they didn't support a defense, or a social support network...but these things are secondary to the primary founding of this country....freedom. I applaud RP...even though he has came off kinda weak and crazy looking at times. The old dude has stood his ground and has not waivered....which is what all of us that love freedom should do....when in doubt...just stand....if you don't stand for something....you will fall for anything. Stand for freedom and liberty...the pursuit of life, liberty and happiness.

The Twitter World - e x p l o d e d - when Hilary Rosen let the truth slip out on CNN.

Obama had to rush out there and throw her under the bus.

Ron Paul is right about the Federal Reserve.

We should make him our - Downsizing Czar - at the White House.

The Federal Reserve has become the new honey pot for the liberals.

Going to congress is too much of a hassle.

For instance the brand new CFPB that was spawned from Dodd - Frank got

over $500 million from the Federal Reserve !

I figured my Pro - Capitalism post would wake you up.

Let's have a look what that little brain of yours came up with in terms of "clever replies"

Socialism does not work. Just look at Greece.

Wait! So you posted that "free market capitalism is the most prosperous system in the world", to which I replied it's a THEORETICAL system that has never been applied in practice. And your reply is "socialism doesn't work"???

What on earth does that have to do with my reply??? I said NOTHING about socialism! Do you even read other people's posts before replying, or do you simply copy/paste some random slogans from a campaign newsletter you found somewhere??

The Democrats declaring War on Moms does not work either.

It was ONE PUNDIT making a claim that was attacked from pretty much all Democrats from the start...and you call that a war??? What do you call the GOP's VERY active campaign of taking away women's reproductive, salary, and workplace rights? If one pundit making a claim is a "war", surely the GOP's actions are a friggin' galactic war!!

What was Hilary Rosen thinking ???

I dunno, I'm not in her head. Having said that, she was actually stating FACTS. Mrs Romney clearly can't relate to the struggles of the average American woman (mom or otherwise). She never had to work or worry about money, and had FIVE NANNIES to help raise her children!! FIVE!!! I'm a guy, and not that great with babies, but give me 5 nannies and you won't hear me complain...ever!!

Let me repeat this: FIVE NANNIES!!!

So yeah, raising children is hard, but Rosen's statement that Mrs Romney had it a LOT easier than the average American woman is 100% the truth.

Now the White House is - demanding - she stay away from Meet The Press.

They don't want to give her gaffe legs. Too late.

That's because Obama is the WORST political poker player in history. 99% of the time he shies away from a fight, no matter how good his hand is.

The GOP's actions and the legislation they push for is sooooooooo anti-women, Obama should have a field day destroying them on this subject...but once again, he takes the easy "no-confrontation" route. He has it WAY too easy during this campaign and doesn't even have to work hard to put up a fight.

The GOP can't win this election because:

1) Can't get Latino votes...the Arizona measures and other laws make that pretty much impossible.

2) Can't get women votes...they're fighting for them now, but the Dems just have to highlight all the anti-women legislation the GOP is currently pushing for and it's going to be game over for them.

Those 2 points alone mean it's "game over" for the GOP numbers wise...but they have one more main issue:

3) Lead candidate (Romney) is too far detached from the average American and built his entire career around FIRING PEOPLE and BREAKING UP COMPANIES. He will lose the "unemployment" battle against Obama (or anyone else for that matter).

In short, the media circus will pretend it's all a big "contest", but in the end Obama will get another four years. And yes, you can quote me on this, save this post somewhere if you want.

Am I happy about this? If the alternative is Romney (or anyone else on the GOP side), yeah, happy. But not happy overall, Obama's done some pretty crappy stuff like the indefinite detention act crap. But he's 100% the "lesser evil"...its' just sad that there's only 2 options. If Obama and Romney were girls you had to rate, Obama would be someone like Pamela Anderson (looks good on the outside, but you know you'll get Hepatitis if you get down with her), and Romney would be the bad guy from the movie "Spawn"...and you HAVE to make out with one of them. I'm picking Pam Anderson, thx very much

Well here is new info for the discussion...I am not a shy fellow.

I was on my porch. I live in a townhouse commnity with about 29 other units. There are lots of young mothers pushing carriages about...so...I stopped them and asked them a couple of questions...and it was SOOO revealing of our state of nation....

I asked "excuse me ma'm...I am doing a poll based on the recent explosion of public interest"...(none of thenm knew who rosenberg was)

"Do you think that the economic situation is more important or is women's right's to choose" Half of them said "the economy is very important"...and I responded "but you understand that one party wants to remove your right to choose....if you are raped and get pregnant...they do not want to let you choose to decide what to do about that"

Almost all of them looked at me like a deer in the headlights "what do you mean?"

"There is one party that wants to make it difficult for you to make that decision....they think they know your body better than you do"

"Oh that is not acceptable"..."If I were raped and got pregnant, I would want the choice to decide for myself"

"Well ma'm...if you vote for money and economy, you are going to lose that choice'..."how does that make you feel?"

"That isn't fair" "We should be able to choose what to do with our bodies and still vote for economy"

I said "that is true but that is not how it is....so which do you choose?"

" I choose choice"

Nuff said.

I did this for the last couple of hours and interviewed like 12 women...this was an almost atypical respsone....

Many don't know what is at stake....we all need to let them know....it is important that we do...even in a small way like I did today.
