IRAN can produce Nuclear Weapons, but won't..

holamreza Mesbahi Moghadam is a parliamentarian not a government official and his views do not represent the Iranian government's policy. It however is the first time that such a prominent Iranian politician has publicly stated that Iran has the technological capability to produce a nuclear weapon.

I think one with the hardware, without Plutonium/Uranium, can actually build the shell of a Nuclear Device with a simple Google search now adays.

Either way, this guys statement will only embolden the UN message of complete disbandment of their Nuclear Programme, even know they can by International Legal Law enrich up to 20%....

Won't be long now.

nuclear technology is over 70 years old. compare a car from then, or a plane, to the ones now.

it doesn't hurt to have allies like russia and china that will sell anything to the highest bidder.

Building a nuclear device in principal is very simple. The hardest piece of a nuclear device to come by is the actual nuclear element. The most common design for a basic nuclear bomb, like the two dropped on Japan, is known as 'the gun' design. To put it simply, imagine a gun barrel with a heavy projectile loaded into it and a very large explosive prime packed behind it. Upon detonation of the primer, the heavy projectile is slammed at a couple thousand miles per hour into your nuclear material. Bingo... Hiroshima.

It takes a very long time to produce enough weapons grade material ,either uranium or plutonium, to trigger the reaction. the Americans, and the soviets have perfected weapon iced nuclear material and now use an extremely volatile tritium core in nearly all of their devices. Tritium is the key to hydrogen nuclear devices, which in turn produce a thermonuclear reaction.

Wise move.

If they choose not to, then it's the biggest screw you to America, Nato and such.

It is just another excuse to not attack them till Obama gets re-elected and God help us all if he does. This Iranians blabber means jack. They would not hide all their nuclear work deep underground if they were not guilty as charged. I guess you guys missed the THREE times Russia harshly warned them to stop what they were up too!!

Russia knows they are building a nuke and they do not want them to have one either.
