Because the majority of said Leftists are former Christians themselves, who have often experienced severe psychological abuse at the hands of Christians.

Islam, on the other hand, to them is generally an unknown and alien "other;" but the difference between conservatism and Leftism, is that Marxist political correctness dictates that irrespective of whatever else you do or do not know about a particular group, you assume that they are a persecuted minority of victims, before you assume anything else about them.

The only thing that really needs to be understood about cultural Marxism, is that it is single-mindedly and relentlessly obsessed with victimhood, to the exclusion of virtually any other consideration. So Muslims are immediately assumed to be victims, because as far as the Left are concerned, everyone is a victim, unless they're either a Capitalist, a Christian, or a white male; in which case they are the group who are considered responsible for the fact that everyone else is a victim.

There is no assumption of self responsibility whatsoever.

As an additional point, the reason why feminism and the gay movement, specifically, assume that any other group they encounter (other than Capitalists, Christians, or white heterosexual males, as mentioned) are a minority of victims, is in order to obtain mutual advantage. In other words, they think that if they assume that any other group they approach are victims, then the group in question will automatically reciprocate and assume the same about them, which they can then use to gain additional social leverage.

They refer to that as, "solidarity." I tend to refer to it as manipulation, and a particularly subtle and insidious form of megalomania.

I think we need to ban Religion.... start with 'Islam' as this has been causing the most amount of trouble over the last decade and then move onto others or just see if anymore trouble with Religion or Religious groups persist!!

If people don't obey than we kick them out to a Country which allows their Religious practices!!

I can honestly say that this would benefit alot of people Worldwide if this was bought in as Law!

We also wouldn't need to hear about things like 'Honour' Killings anymore or anyone would be labelled as being 'Muslim' or anything else...

We can then go back to living in a free society as it was 20 years ago without all this trouble!!

A headline of 93% of British Asians say there is never a reason to physicaly punish a female relative, prolly wouldnt have sold papers or increased viewing figures...but you guys are waaay too smart to be caught out by sensationlised headlines, right??

You guys wanna beat up on muslims..then go ahead, but you could at least try to not contradict yourselfs..Be nice if you could actually argue the facts of the survey instead of just ignoring the bits you dont like...fairly certain that a couple of thousand years ago someone said words to the effect that 'its not what we put into our mouths that despoils us, but what comes out'.

This was proven unfortunately, to be a defective idea by some of the behaviour that has been exhibited by Richard Dawkins, among others. Atheists are capable of being just as obnoxious as theists. They don't murder people, perhaps; but then again, Sam Harris has written that he thinks that it might be unavoidably necessary to forcibly exterminate Islam. Of course, given what I've seen of him, I don't think that physically speaking, he's going to be capable of exterminating anyone any time soon.

Reading what he wrote I don't think he was implying that at all.

I also think people mix race, culture and religion up...

The point I think he's making a bit awkwardly is that Saudi males see women as not equal, they decide what you can or cannot do to a large degree. Sadly a lot of the religious rules ie the one's that are not from the Koran but made up by clerics leave a lot to be desired in their view of women. I watched a video a while back where one cleric was so extreme he wanted buqua's to have only one eye hole because even a single eye of a woman could bewitch a man, thankfully the other clerics even thought he was too extreme.

And there's the problem people have with this whole thing, men creating rules for others and slipping them under the covers of the rule book as if they came from the Koran.

Rules such as a raped woman must have 4 male Muslims as witness if she wants to claim she was raped AND even then she may face punishment even if they come forward. And of course lets not forget that the likelihood of there being 4 males there is that the 4 males were the rapists themselves.

Laws like that must never be allowed here and those asking for them must never be listened to..

I want to add, that when we come here we have open minds concerning you all, your politics, we believe you do not hate us when we come, but then we get here and this is what we find. It makes us believe that you all are all evil to the core, and makes us go back home with nothing but hatred for you.

Women get here and think yea! we have some more freedoms, then we find we have less due to hatred against us, men get here and think there is opportunity, but race and hatred gets in the way of that too... so we go home, but no longer with the thought you all are not evil and support your governments actions.

Because your actions toward us when we are here belie your words of freedom and equality for all men.

Yeah I know you were being sarcastic...

Sadly people do believe this and I am proof its cobblers, my wife and I get one hell of a lot of flack from elderly Asians and Radical Islamics, I'm from Northern Ireland now living in the outskirts of London, my wife is British born (same hospital as our daughter) but her mum is from British Guyana (aka South American but with obvious Asian roots). Her mum is a very nice Muslim lady and her family has been terrific to me over the 30yrs we have been married even though I'm not religious.

But the point is that these two groups of people mentioned before target us when we are out for stares, pivoting on the spot to watch us while shopping, many utterances are made in Urdu etc and the Muslim males and females (the ladies in the Burqa's) spout filth at her when she's on her own with our daughter.

Gutless cowards and bigots yet have the balls to try and label others as that.

Now I'm not that well educated, I left school with a single O'level (in Art) and a few CSE's of low grades, any extra education I got was done by myself, my wife on the other hand was a straight A student, we met while I was helping to teach handicapped children, after that I went on be in management and computing.

Now 12yrs ago our daughter came into the world and she is also a straight A student despite having a poorly educated dad, she's a natural learner and polite as can be.

Sort of rules out the mixed race issue....

As we all know the only issue with producing children is making sure the mother father link is NOT close family wise, Pakistani families often flaunt this basic logical genetic rule to the expense of their children.

You seek every opening you can get, to engage in apologetics, and portray Muslims as exclusively innocent victims. I'm not really seeing too much of a difference, there. The truth gets sacrificed in both cases.

I point out VERY correctly that women in Islam under the Wuhabbist ways do not get a fair deal and you take that as a slight?

My in laws are Muslims although I'm not.

If you think I'm going to sit here off topically waxing on about how good Muslims over all are then you are totally wrong, I'm commenting on the issue of the thread and I would like you to do the same instead of looking for reasons to embellish people with your own agenda.

FACT: Honour based systems are abused under radical Islam (see, radical), innocent people are hurt and left facing a life of shunning for it IF they survive. When we do something wrong, we are punished... Our prisons are full of inmates and death row as a huge cue lining up for the chair.

When a muslim dose something wrong (as specially to a non-muslim), it's a religious thing, so it is ok.

What about all the suicide bombers who have killed 10,000's of women and children also..?

Why do we bomb muslim countries? Because we retaliate for things like 911. It has nothing to do with resources (those are just spoils of war). Eye for an eye do we not have that right? (sorry stupid question, we are heathens and have no rights at all as we are not even human in the eyes of Islam).

Honestly, I have said this before and I believe it holds 100% true...

If the West suddenly just packed up, and left the middle east alone, it would make no difference at all. Muslim Jihadists would still wage war and slaughter us with suicide attacks every other day. It has nothing to do with us being in your countries at all. It is hate and nothing less.
