neno,
Hey, you shouldn't mock the faith and non-Catholic Christianity. We're
in the end times, these are serious times. No matter what period of time
it is, no one knows their last day.
Instead, pray, ask God to give you the faith to believe, He will.
Frank Sinatra is/was Roman Catholic, he died a Roman Catholic. I am
positive he received the Last Rites. Oh, the 'grace' of the Sacraments.
Come to belief brother.
God bless you,
colbe
Hiya, colbe!
Fear not, I have my faith, arrived at after a lot of searching. It's just not one that I wear on my sleeve or push on others. They have their own journey to complete, and if they want to know about my religion, they will ask - I don't have a need to jam it up on them usually.
I rejected Catholicism, particularly Roman Catholicism, for the much the same reasons I left Islam - lack of consistency and illogical beliefs. I don't demand "proofs" in matters of religion, because the nature of religion is such that poofs are not to be had on demand. God does not subject himself to experimentation very well, nor does he tend to jump through hoops on command like a trained dog. I DO, however, expect that a particular belief should be consistent in it's own logic, within the framework of the system.
For example, in Catholicism the belief that the Bible is inerrant is inconsistent with the belief that Church Dogma carries equal or greater weight. If you have an inerrant book, a literal word of God, the pronouncements of man cannot countermand it - that is illogical - OR that god is a very weak one, unworthy of worship.
What religion Sinatra found peace in is his own business, not mine. I examined it, and found it lacking for my own peace. I do not want Catholic Last Rites, since I do not expect nor desire to go to the Catholic heaven.
As far as "End Times" go, every one has his own. We will ALL come to and end at some point, and mine is likely a good deal closer than yours. I'm at peace with that. Don't look for a cataclysmic end, just be prepared for your own, and be at peace when it finds you.
I came to belief some time ago.

My problem is want you and everyone to become Roman Catholic.
Prophecy has been revealing the same as long as I have read it, both Protestant...in a gentle way...and specifically Roman Catholic messages from Heaven. God is going to reveal this very "soon" to all souls.
To comment about what I underlined. You have to trust that God gave us a way to know of His great plan and His love for us. In the New Covenant, it is through the Church. Men aren't perfect but the teachings of the Church for 2000 years can be trusted, they are true. They don't change no matter how far away the world goes from God. The Gospel says the Church is our authority, she is the pillar and foundation of Truth. It fits, the Church gave the world the Bible.
Your other words...hmmmm...they worry me. True, we don't know our last day. We're all the prodigal son.
God the Father is running toward us with open arms.
Pray every day from now on and examine your life,
confess all your sins. Advise for everyone here. Me too.
love and prayers,
p.s. You know what gets me, it's the times, remember, all sexual sins are mortal so confess them. I am not talking to you specifically, I was just thinking of the sins that aren't confessed.

That's funny, considering his last name literally means " That frothy mixture of lube and fecal matter that is sometimes the by-product of anal sex.

God I wish his first name was Dick. The irony would be perfect

Dick is a diminutive of Richard, isn't it?

i dont think anyone should have the power to legislate morality.

i agree because morality relative. what's virtuous to some, might not be to others. you should not be allowed to push your religious beliefs upon others.
that's one of the things that rankles my XXX about other "religious" people.
though i believe in the religion that i practice, i have never thought we were all intended to have the same religion.
this is do to the fact that i think "God" sent profits to different people, in different cultures, at different periods of time to deliver the same message but in a manner that fit their language and understanding.
"God" is infinite and because we lack the capacity to perceive the totality of "God", we only perceive attributes or facets of "God"..
because of this no one man or group of men came claim "God " is with them to the exclusion of others, or that they exclusively have all of the knowledge pertaining to "God".
one more thing and i'll stop flappin my yap.
i think religion should be practiced with the focus being on the internal self and not worrying about the things that others do.
as long as their actions don't harm anyone else then live and let live.
anyway that's my 2 pennies.

sir/maam we are gonna have to agree to disagree on this one.
i don't wanna highjack this thread but feel free to visit my profile and drop a line or two and we can continue the topic from there.
No one is forcing you to believe anything (except BHO). You choose
to believe the Truth or not and there is only one Truth. How God desires
you come to accept it. He waits for your free will choice, it's not the
other way around.
All through Scripture, God's plan speaks of oneness of belief. There's
one plan so yes, it is His desire we all believe the same Down4W.
Relativism is a religion, believing whatever you wish to believe is Truth.
Religions, Christian and non-Christian are all man-made. There is only
one faith, the Roman Catholic Faith. It comes from God and that's it.
Soon, God is going to show you personally what I just shared. Say "yes"
to God when it happens. Desire the "Eucharist" and you will make it
through my friend. Remember, remember, remember.
I am starting to give up on the forum, people do not change their beliefs
easily. They need a great sign, something divine....
Wait...joy...there's one coming very "soon" according to Heaven.
