With more than 2 million people in Vegas one would think more people would have noticed... but there are a lot of distractions going on in Vague Guess.

Yes Vegas is a huge bowl... but if he saw those lights from Jokers Wild they must have been pretty bright. Not saying he didn't see them... just they must have really stood out.

He watched them less than 2 minutes at most. They weren't too big, it was that they were zipping to the left and right, changing colors from yellow, orange, and amberish, and appearing and dissapearing he said. They were small from his vantage point, it was the pattern in which they were moving that helped them stand out from that distance. He had to be 25 or 30 miles from them. That's why he didn't care much and just went to bed, because it was late for him.

Gambling = a Vague Guess.
Edit to add: And most people LOSS money due to their vague guess.

HEY don't be knocking THAT
Those people pay our state taxed
We LIKE tourists with deep pockets

Yes, yes they do!!! Damn polite of them visitors!!

Bottle, remember to read ilikestars' posts. I know you arent accusing me of making this up, but you left it as a possibility... How could I be making this up when other people I dont know were seeing the exact same event? So you can drop that as a possibility, please and thank you

yep. What reason would my Pa lie for? He didn't even really care that much one way or the other. He went outside took a look, said yep, those look different, gave me a brief discription I wrote word for word in my first post, and then said he was going to bed.

Since there is no reference point in the video to show you're really filming the sky, also with low quality there is no verifiable evidence that those are UFO's. As far as most of us here on ATS are concerned those lights could easily be stars and, the bright one could be the moon with a cheap digital camera. It's difficult to do but if you can filming through a telescope works great, just as a future reference. I took a picture of mars using that trick. good luck next time

Wait, what? How can you not tell its the sky? Did you watch all the videos? I gave a point of refernce video of the same view during the day. The house lines up exactly where the house lights are in the night video. Very simple. And how on earth could those be the stars or the moon (??!!) Planes, Id cencede, before stars and the moon.

Also dont forget, other posters in Vegas saw the exact same thing

Ugh. From my fathers vantage point there were mountains behind them. So, not stars.

My father would have been a block to the right at the top of the hill near near the end of where you can see this road. The world famous Las Vegas Strip would have been behind the person taking this picture about the same distance from where this picture was taken and where my father was standing.

This is near to what my father was looking at from Henderson:

Las Vegas: The Strip from Henderson at Dusk

Casinos and hotels on the Las Vegas Strip, aka Las Vegas Blvd, can easily be viewed from dusk. Here part of The Strip is seen at dusk from Henderson, Nevada, USA, a major suburb south east of downtown.

Las Vegas: The Strip from Henderson at Dusk

I hope this clears things up about these things being stars. These things were in the air, and they were on the other side of the strip, and there were mountains behind them. They were not something that was a usual thing for at least 2 people who are natives of Las Vegas. My father has been living there since 1995. And, as you can see in this picture, visibility for many miles is very possible.

No apparently were both lying, or both mistaken despite my having video proof. Never seen stars do that before but ok...

I know its hard to see... Start looking closely around 25 seconds. aircraft starts appearing, disappearing, moving and then re appearing. I saw much more than can be see on the video, but other residents of vegas that posted here saw the exact same thing. i just happened to catch some of it on video

but BK it doesn't matter how good your intentions are you can only go so far with it and then there's not much more you can say about it. Let's say you proved beyond a shadow of a doubt it was not even military (which I don't know how you could do that anyway), now what? Then you find yourself jumping up and down (figuratively) trying to get people to realize there really are strange unidentifiable flying objects out there and everybody else is standing there slackjawed and unimpressed. It's how it works, the individual has the experience which opens their eyes to the possibilities and outsiders who weren't there couldn't care less. Do you have any idea how many much better nightime ufo videos there are out there that nobody gives a crap about? I'm not trying to be an ass I'm just trying to keep your feet on the ground so you don't ruin your reputation for being a skeptic.

If you look at the mountain ridge line above the red traffic light to the right there appear to be towers right in the spot where the lights in question would have been. It looks like it could be lights on towers.

I apologize, I was unaware of the second video. The reason i concluded stars and moon over a plane is I didn't see any blinking lights and most passenger carriers have a red light on both wing tips and the tail which blink at one second intervals. I just tried to find your daytime video but couldn't. Don't get me wrong i'm not out to disprove your sighting, i'd just have to see it for myself. In your night video I did catch a glimpse of the horizon, at around 00:30 they appeared to move but I couldn't tell if they were movin g or your hand was. Unfortunately cell cams aren't very reliable. UFO sightings seem to be very common in the southwest, I'm from Arizona and I remember hearing about and seeing sightings on a semi regular basis mostly between flagstaff and scottsdale. A lot of reperted abductions too, saw a movie once about a guy who was abducted in front of his friends north of flagstaff, true story apparently. I'm sure you did see a ufo, because you saw it with your own eyes, however we can only see it through the eyes of a cell phone. Doesn't mean it's not real, it's just hard for us to see it the way you did.

how do you know it is not from shaking the camera? or didn't you say you saw them do that without the camera? maybe your eye was twitching. This is what I mean when I say you can't go much further trying to prove anything to other people- there is always a counterargument and eventually the discussion grinds to a halt and the stalemate continues. Were they zig zagging in the video? (then I didn't see that part) I've got a couple videos on youtube that explain how you can make things zig zag with a typical camera. You need more visual information or new footage or else it's a dead end. It's up to you to provide the evidence and personally I hope you DID see something and continue to see them and get really great footage in the future because it really does happen to other people. But all in all, I tend to agree with the other gentleman's father's attitude- "They were zooming back and forth over there. I'm going to bed.".

edit on 5-3-2012 by bottleslingguy because: (no reason given)

I've been trying to say exactly that so thanks for being so right to the point.

You might be talking about Travis Walton who they made the movie about. What I heard was that the Hollywood version was much scarier than what Walton says happened. He said they saved him after being hit with a static charge from their craft when he ran up to it. At one point I think he says they let him fly the ship.

My philosophy about this whole subject is that the only way it can become real is if enough people truly believe it. Hey! This guy might be the hundredth monkey

Then they need to stop moving those towers back and forth so fast at night.
