However, it IS interesting to note that along with a very rare earthquake in the North East, if you check out HAARP, there is a rather strong increase in output, directed, guess where, to the North East...

The rumors suggest NASA has been handed a 'gag order' issued by DoD (department of defense). The reason for this order is directed at our spy satellites. It is suggested that 'in the name of national security' we cannot confirm or deny recent and current solar activity is at dangerous levels.

Over the past week a reported 65 C-Class flares, 16 M-Class flares, and 2 X-Class flares have occurred.
Just the week prior, another 2 X-Class flares and 4 M-Class flares erupted. In addition to the solar flares, perhaps as many as 45 CME's (coronal mass ejections) emerged.

Another area of concern is our 'power grids'. If Earth experiences a direct hit from any one of these M-Class or X-Class flares, it could in fact cripple our infrastructure. There is good reason to be concerned over this issue. Some of you may remember what happened in 1989 when an X-Class flare ripped through our Magnetic Field knocking out power grids all across parts of the world.

One area which suffered a devastating hit was Quebec, Canada. Power grids where knocked out for almost two months. This had occurred during winter months and people literally had to set up emergency communities to survive. Those who had homes with "fireplaces" quickly filled to as many as 20 to 30 people per household. An area of over 7 million people was reduced to using fires as a method of warmth and to cook meals. When hearing testimonies of those who experienced this historical blackout of 1989, you can easily understand the desperation and struggle one had to endure. But there was also something magical which occurred. People described knowing their neighbor for the first time. Experiencing true togetherness, community, unity, and a sense of 'singleness of purpose'. Could this be a glance of what may lie ahead?

Today's sunspot count is at 168. I am a bit nervous of region 380. It is very large and is set dead center which could produce a direct hit to Earth. The odds of an X-Class or M-Class flare erupting from this region is 90%. I would suggest it is almost certain. The question is not if an eruption will occur, but in what direction.



This article is correct in that we have had a fairly large number of M and X Class flares (I have been posting news of them almost daily). I have not done research to see just how abnormal this activity is compared to past history, however, I do know that this activity is elevated for the cycle the sun is in (the sun is supposed to be coming into a period of relative calm, in its 11 year activity cycle, but it seems to be still ramping up in activity.)

There is also information that the sun may currently be undergoing a magnetic pole flip (I posted a story on that awhile back)

However, the error I see here is that the latest X Class flare DID in fact hit the earth. There was some limited radio/electrical disruption, and some rather vibrant auroral displays (I believe that Astrocreep mentioned trouble acquiring GPS birds during the flare... go back up the thread, it should be posted here somewhere)

Now this is very interesting... For the past 28 hours, HAARP is transmitting continuously with increasing output to the north east... strange coincidence that we have a quake in Quebec, which, granted happens occassionally, but is VERY rare.... I just have a problem with coincidences.

Mag 5.4 in the Central East Pacific Rise

Mag 4.8 at Honshu, Japan

Very interesting article, and I agree, such technology could easily revolutionize seismology, and could potentially save lives with the early warning aspect.

This is obviously technology based on HAARP research, and quite frankly I am surprised that it has been released for research and made public. My only conclusion is that due to the rumors and negative information regarding HAARPs use on the web, this may be an attempt by the USAF to release more "benign" information about HAARP in order to lessen the sentiments about it.

The quick climb yesterday in the north east direction on HAARP quickly resolved into a good deal of activity just a couple of hours ago. I notice that the emmissions in the northern quadrant spiked sharply, and then went into a more conventional transmission regime.

Most every station's showing some shaking, rattling, and even a little rolling here in recent hours.
And IRIS is only showing 1 active quake (the 6.4 in the Aleutian Islands).

That seems like a LOT of activity on the USGS...

Indeed, IRIS is only showing the one earthquake, the 6.4 on Rat Island in the Aleutians.

I would point out thought that it is a rather big earthquake, and is situated on the northern edge of the Pacific plate... Due to its size, I would expect that is what is being picked up by the (mainly) chinese and Russian seismographs.

I do find it odd though that several other events are recording by USGS and not by IRIS (I was starting to consider IRIS to be a bit more accurate than USGS in this matter).

Although I do point out that about 24 hours ago we had a VERY intense burst of activity at HAARP

The one thing I find kind of disconcerting is that Gakona is the only scalar facility we have the ability to monitor real time. There are many more in the world that we dont know what is happening with... Read into that what you will.

X class flare in progress and geo storm.. HARRP seems to not be as active..... Weired thing about HARRP is i went back to when it was first started n looked around, they had very symetrical patters untill March this year i think where things just went haywire, also Iv noticed the IRIS earth monitor thingi n how it dosent mention some earthquakes but its got a button for last earthquakes in 30 days at the bottom that takes you to a google search showing you latest articles n find on earthquakes, its more useful than the site

Also earthquake in Tokyo measured 5.1 m no causlties no damage so we wont hear about it on media, i would give links but my explorer freezes if i have more than 1 window open

Also... If HARRP is causing all of these global seismic events, what do they plan on acheiving.. i was thinking is there a pattern between HARRPs sharp transmitions.. and all the CME/solar flares and if so .. what could they be trying to acheive once again???

I also noticed the strange change in HAARP output. Reason still unknown. Also, the interaction between HAARP and CMEs is interesting (read the comet thread for my thoughts on that one).

Current HAARP activity coincident with Solar Flares, could mean they are possibly trying to mask thier activity with the solar flares?

HAARP is kicking today with a sharp increase in activity about 3 hours ago. Look for some activity in a couple of days...

IT'S BACK: Sunspot 365, which last month unleashed two X-class solar flares and sparked a severe geomagnetic storm, reappeared on June 15th and promptly unleashed another X-flare (at 2355 UT). The active region is still emerging over the sun's southeastern limb; its size and potential for more eruptions will become clearer in the days ahead.

AURORA WATCH: Earth will enter a solar wind stream flowing from a coronal hole on approximately June 19th. Sky watchers should be alert for auroras on that date. The best observing sites will be at high latitudes--e.g., southern parts of Australia and New Zealand, Canada, and northern-tier US states such as Minnesota and Maine. I found this to be interesting

Very interesting article. As I mentioned on the part regarding the new scalar sensing technology, I believe this is at least in part developed from HAARP technology, and is likely being released to put a more friendly and research oriented face on HAARP. (They are well aware of the reputation that HAARP carries on the web from paranoids like us!)

I also agree, Volcanic Calderas are a threat, although USGS has largely been very circumspect in how they deal with them.

Sometime in the early 1980s, the USGS issued an Eruption Warning for Mammoth Lake Caldera... However, a predicted eruption can have a timeframe of hundreds of years. Property values for the area plummetted, and several developers sued USGS. The publicity, esp regarding the supposed lack of accuracy of thier prediction, didnt do much for the USGS public image. Ever since, USGS has backed off on issuing public warnings.

I personally think that issuing a warning, even if your best accuract is 50 years, is still the responsible thing to do, and I wouldnt own property in the area regardless.

IRIS indicates a 4.6 mag earthquake near the East Coast of Honshu Japan.
