You kind of took the offensive there. He just said he couldn't imagine she supported him. Maybe he said it because he knows she was a liberal. You don't know that the poster had any intention to attack her in any way.

I think it's cool that she brought to light something that needed to be brought forward. I am a RP supporter and I like her show (I also like Olbermann) and though she gets a little out there liberal sometimes, she doesn't attack her guests like GOP pundits, so that's always respectable.

No, just maybe a little misguided.

She is misguieded because she cares about the truth?
Oh do please explain that to my simple little mind because it is blowing me away.

But, her fairness is to be commended. I don't mind if somebody doesn't support Ron Paul, as long as they know why they don't.

So you are suggesting she does not know why she does not support Ron Paul. Well, I know you have no special insight into that so I can just toss that back in the trash where you got it.

Its probably all a show to get more republicans to support RP thus hurting Mitt and Rick by dividing the GOP even further...come on she's a LL (lesbian liberal), off course she is rooting for Oblamalot even if it means supporting RP...

Oh jeez, lighten up, Sarcasmo. I was joking around mostly, stating she was misguided because she isn't an RP supporter.

No, I was suggesting, in general, that I don't mind if somebody doesn't support Ron Paul as long as they know why. Meaning they did real research, and discovered his actual positions, not the lies and exaggeration, and genuinely disagree with them. That was in response to your suggesting that Ron Paul supporters find anybody who doesn't support him evil. You seem to be wound a little tight...

No, that is not what he actually wrote. Sorry.

Maybe he said it because he knows she was a liberal. You don't know that the poster had any intention to attack her in any way.

I never said he did attack her either. I also know what I read and you seem to have gotten it wrong.

That is why it is disheartening to see people who believe Maddow/MSNBC are just liars for Obama when something like this is right in their #ing face.

Eh.. helping Ron Paul is the last thing you would do to help Obama. Ron Paul is the only one that can beat him. In the end only one goes up against Obama (unless Paul ends up running third). If it is Ron Paul it will be a fight to the finish and Obama could lose. If it is Romney then Obama will win.

So her pointing out a truth that helps RP is just her being honest, not her covertly helping Obama.

SEE THAT IS THE CRAP RIGHT THERE.

So because she is a liberal, she cannot be interested in the truth. Instead she is secretly trying to screw over Republicans by reporting what happens to be the truth.

This is not partisan, it is insane.

You still sound like you are on the offensive even though I am agreeing with you. All I was responding to was your reply to a reply. If that poster had a post before the one you replied to then that is another thing. If, however, the entire tone of your post was based on the post you were replying to then you came on a little strong (similar to how you are with me right now).

Maine GOP recounting caucus votes

www.politico.com...

The Maine Republican Party, under fire from Ron Paul supporters for its mishandling of the state’s recent caucuses, is now re-canvassing counties and municipalities to recount vote totals.

POLITICO obtained an email from the State Republican Party asking local chairmen to send them the vote totals from their local straw polls.

Now where is that Billy Joel tune "Pressure?"

I guess it got a little too hot in the kitchen. I think any of us Ron Paul supporters will accept defeat if it's a FAIR defeat. But not like that. No no. RP still kicked butt in second (close), and may still win Maine! Not too shabby at all my friends.
My hope lasts until it's over.

Unfortunately they will probably just send in the crooked results that the guy in the original video discussed (the video with the news place that broke the story, can't remember, but the video is in one of these Maine threads). He said he talked to the woman from his county (area/whatever) and when she gave the vote he said the number was incorrect (which lead to the 0's being counted for all candidates) so what if they just get those original incorrect tallies in there? How many times can they make "honest mistakes" before no one cares and no one is watching when the final final correct results are in?

I hope they get it right the first time. I think it should be open and all the votes from all the counties and vote sites should be posted for everyone to add up themselves just so there are no more questions and any problems can be pointed out immediately by people who were there.

This is about as blatant as it gets. Anyone who sees this and still thinks their votes count, simply have put on blinders. It doesn't matter if it's Ron Paul, Romney, or anyone else. This clearly shows that the election process is a fraud. And for those who have stated that it's just the GOP and not a real election, do you really think this same thing doesn't happen in the actual elections as well? And furthermore, sure, it's just the GOP and they can do whatever they want, except that we are in a two party system. We only get two candidates to (supposedly) choose from and both are "chosen" by party officials and not the people. Is anyone really okay with that? I hope not.

I am so absolutely disgusted by our so called "election" process. This is not going to fly, not this time! WE THE PEOPLE won't be scammed again by TPTB. I won't stand for it and I know others who won't either. You make us look like fools, and are ruining America. This is going to stop!

Ok, we are listening.

I do have one suggestion. We need to go get trained to be polling place observers. Greg Palast brought this up in his book Armed Madhouse, a NYT bestseller BTW. Greg Palast who discovered the voting fraud of 2000 and 2004 ended up working with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on 2004.

www.gregpalast.com...

www.robertfkennedyjr.com...

Now that we got that out of the way...

Greg also explains in his book the different methods of voter fraud, electronic voting machines, although famous, are only one of many routes used to tweak the results for us. After all the Corporatocracy really does know what is best for us, even if we do not realize it.

Being a Polling place/election observer is likewise only one solution he offers. His first suggestion is to know what methods they do use to rip off your choice, thereby understanding how best to cast your vote. Not for who, but how to vote...

Provisional Ballots, and Absentee Ballots are given away like candy these days, especially to African Americans, Native Americans and the Hispanic voters, I wonder why that would be? Do you think these folks voted for Bush, or for that matter will be inclined to vote for Mitt or Newt or Rick? I'll bet the RNC isn't too concerned because these votes have been some of the most common to disappear.

There are also the "caging lists" to deal with. Do you know if you are fully qualified to vote? Oh sure you are registered... No? Better get registered soon. No it doesn't take that long to get registered, but it does take a little longer to follow through and make sure you are qualified. You see if they disqualify you they tell you all about it, but not until you get to the voting booth. Then it is way too late to do anything to fix whatever problem is hanging your vote up. You are just out.

So we are going to be sure that we are qualified to vote, and we are going to be sure to visit the polling place personally so our vote doesn't go into the ash can right off. We're good right?

Nope, not quite. Do we have to deal with the electronic video machines? No? Where you live has paper ballots. You start to breathe easier, your vote looks like it will actually be able to live. But then we have to make sure you have the proper ID with you or you will not be given a racing form at all. This practice, which was outlawed in the South in 1962, is back but this time it has a pretty new dress.

So you have the proper ID, you are at the polling place, you know your vote has not been a victim of the caging lists, and you have a paper ballot to cast. Enter the "Hanging Chad"! No, it is not a western gunslinger, or a Kung Fu movie, or even a local punk band that wants to vote together. Hanging chad is the little piece of paper that hangs off the ballot when an incomplete punch is made. The machine that counts votes doesn't count the ones with "hanging chad". Election workers could sit and look at a few of them and confirm which way the voter voted, but they do not.

Oh damn, I forgot one. Sometimes in the past, in the poorer blue collar precincts they have claimed a shortage of voting machines and have consolidated polling places in ways that both inconveniences voters unduly and causes very long and very slow lines. Remember the shame that has been projected on us for a low voter turnout? Hmm.

So I am saying if we do not take all these steps and perform these precautionary checks we are likely to have no choice but to stand for it.

Just sayin'

Like I said...Maddow isn't stupid...she knows fully well that if you take the missing Waldo county results you get Ron Paul with a net gain of 6 votes on Romney. She also knows that Washington county last year had a total of 113 votes. With the 6 votes from Waldo county...that would mean that Ron Paul would still need 188 votes to tie Romney. Let's be optimistic and say the voter turnout in Washington county doubles to 226...Ron Paul would need to win over 83% of the vote.

Outkast, I think you just got a long overdue "Reality Check" courtesy of Mr. Swann. Voter turnout in these as of yet uncounted counties could easily be enough to put Paul on top. Your bias is clouding your reality.

They're allowed to fool people because, uh . . . uh . . . never mind. What was the rest of it? Uh . . . oh yeah, . . . fool me three times . . . . right?

At least she said the word "rigged" at the end there. But why must she and everyone else STILL be so politically correct?!? That's what drives me nuts... they still talk to and treat the public like children. SAY IT MADDOW!!! It's a conspiracy!!! The media wouldn't have SUCH a problem with the freaking word, if they themselves didn't put the negative connotation on it! We don't need any more evidence, as we now have Nevada, Iowa AND Maine. IT'S A CONSPIRACY FACT!!! Dinosaur media.... inconceivable!

And yes, Rachel... you can say either Ron Paul or Mitt Romney won it... the others were left in the dust. But obviously, OBVIOUSLY Mitt didn't win, because of the CONSPIRACY that you just helped expose. Thank you.

GO RON PAUL.
