Yes! Exactly as I said from the beginning of OWS. It was a contrived plot by george soros and the obama admin to push class warfare. Oh how I got hammered from ALL the supporters of OWS, and now the pieces are falling into place, and it is becoming clear exactly who benefits from what.

You and me both!! The connection has been there but it’s becoming painfully obvious as this plan comes to fruition.

I’m not going to get excited for two reasons:

1) We’re still going to get slammed for this view here on ATS (where all the conspiracy theorists supposedly are
) and,

2) There likely won’t be enough people who see it in time to stop it, so we’re still screwed!

It is ALMOST laughable...

This country was robbed blind by the banks

The citizens who join the Occupy movement are angry about that

and you make it seem as if they are unaware of who robbed this country.

The screwing already happened, man, where have you been???

He's just trying to tax the rich because the Unions need more money to keep democrats getting elected. The Unions need more money because they EXPLOIT the middle class and make promises they can't afford to keep.

He is trying to tax the rich because the economic system in this country has been rigged to
benefit billionaires and drain all the money from the people who have to work for a living.

This has been systematic and achieved with politicians and the lobby effort, screw the unions,
the unions didn't fleece this country of TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS, the banks did.

You're wrong...we pay more!! We have to pay capital gains too!!

second line!

And Mitt Romney makes $57,000 a day and pays less than 15% effective tax rate.

Meanwhile people who barely make that a year pay 30%

And the money Mitt Romney invested to get those returns was taxed at 35%, which is far higher than you or I get taxed!

And Mitt is part of the 1% who earn millions per year. The other 300,000,000+ Americans pay the same 15% capital gains tax TOO. So you want our crap to go up to 30%???? WTF?

Mitt did not get taxed at 35%, give me a fricking break, Mitt can afford the best accountants
and tax lawyers sir, I am not a moron, I know how the business world works.

How about be a bank and sell hundreds of billions worth of useless nothing?

I agree that banks have sold hundreds of billions of useless nothing, but this statement does not support your argument that it is more lucrative to do nothing than it is to work ------------

ok nits I'm done pickin.

Just seems to hard to believe that a increase in a tax has to be "class warfare".
Well maybe War needs to happen, the middle and lower class have had their wealth sucked away from them and maybe its time to fight back.
What is the alternative, more taxes on people in lower brackets who can barely exist on the money they have?
those of them that have jobs.

There is an existing thread , on why the Defense budget should not be touched, so where is the money to be found.
At the current rate , if things don't change there could very well be a war on the Rich.

Think French Revolution .

Tw0sides!!! We’ve debated many times and I love ya, but listen! This is not about defense spending or wars or anything else…

If YOU invest $100 tomorrow in GE stock (name a company) and get a $200 return next year, you will pay (currently) 15%. Obama wants to raise that to 30%. Is that a millionaire tax if YOU and I have to pay it??? We pay the SAME TAX...capital gains...if we invest!! How does ANYONE RETIRE if they don't INVEST?

No correction. The Federal Government did. Banks are allowed to fail. It is not the Federal Governments job to bail them out.

The proceeds went largely to Unionized corporations that still failed.

I am sorry if I do not recognize engineering economic fraud and failure as work,
I guess I am just old school like that.

Oh wait, you mean the banks that monetized, traded and insured trillions in fake assets
didn't really do that?

Why are you even talking to me man? If you want to tell fairy tales, go spend some
time with your kids, I am grown man.

I’m pointing out class warfare and the fact that your precious OWS is being manipulated by the very people you claim to protest..

No offense but you are a gullible SOB if you continue on without recognizing the plan they have for you (us), bro!

The screwing already happened, man, where have you been???

Where have I been??? LOSING MONEY like everyone else (well…like everyone who is employed and investing for retirement) and trying to alert the sheeple being used as pawns!!! Where have you been?? BAAAAHHH!

So what? If so those people responsible should have been prosecuted and not bailed out. But they are the same unionized corporations that received the funds from the bailout. Fraud? You bet.

If I buy stock for 100 dollars, turn around and sell that stock for 150 dollars, then I have made a 50 dollar profit. The capital gains tax is the tax on that 50 dollar profit.

The original 100 has already been taxed once, but the 50 dollar profit has not.

In short, a capital gains tax does not tax your money twice.

What do are they gonna do to us, huh?

You know what your position is being used to achieve Seabag?

Your position is used to justify setting up the SAME economic situation AGAIN.

You assert I am on the wrong side

tell me, why would the elites and banks want to pay more in taxes? Our be subject to
reasonable regulations that will prevent them from betting the entire US economy
on more junk financial products.
