I never trusted him to begin with after all the crap about teachers changing songs dedicated to Jesus and remaking them for Obama and all the offhand comments about him being the Messiah and he allowed it and didn't deny it.

That ontop of his "Yes we can" slogan turned out to be "No we can't" and then this NDAA,SOPA,PIPA crap he's shoving down our throats a little too "lovingly". Kinda reminds me of some creepy old granny trying to spoonfeed a kid cyanide and telling them "its medicine".

Well, Ms. Livni sure had a colorful life. But all Isreali citizens are expected to serve in the military when they reach a certain age and even if you stay there for 2 yrs just visiting, you are expected to serve as well since you are living under their protection. So its not surprising that Ms Livni worked for mossad at one point in her military career.

But I was right about one thing, Ziva is a lot hotter than Ms Livni!!!

Sure but only if Israel is publicly acknowledged as being behind such an attack. It is not as if no one in the US administration wants what this guys wants, even if for different reasons. So what would be the big problem if they were to assassinate him and blame it on an Iranian patsy and claim it was an attempt by the Iranians because they believed US was close to attacking them?

What is pathetic is that he actually named a hit. It is totally stupid. He could easily have said they should pray for a quick death for Obama in an accident or some other miracle so that Joe Biden could step into his shoes and do what he believes is in Israel's interests.

Such wishes usually have a way of becoming true. Remember the necons were wishing for a new Pearl Harbor like event to strengthen the resolve of America to go after Middle East states and pat came 9/11.

So if Israel wishes for Obama to die soon in an accident, a "lone gun man" or better still "Iranian spy" could assassinate Obama.

I find it way too unbelievable that Mr. Adler when writing the article couldn't foresee the backlash it would receive. He's a Jewish American suggesting that Israel assassinate the American president. Isn't that too good? Does he not realize the Jewish people already suffer a horrible reputation? Do they need a Jew suggesting something as egregious as this, to give plenty of ammo to the "anti-zionists" and antisemites out there?

Were these articles written by a JEWISH AMERICAN?

I know that some more radical groups, such as the 'nation of islam' (farakhan i believe said something like this before, not an assassination perse, but a call for muslim countries to rise up against American troops etc)) have said stuff along similar lines, but they've done it knowing they had a political clemency of a sort; it's expected that these minority groups speak this way. The Jewish community, however, is different. Most people already consider it as an established fact the "jews run the world", and today there is a growing anti-Israel sentiment, particularly amongst Liberals and Muslims, but it's also gaining ground in other communities as well. Therefore, Jews have a greater responsibility because they should realize the animus that exists out there for both the Jewish people and the nation of Israel. Therefore, it is basic logic that caution should be taken when writing articles.

So by using a localized publication to further some kind of agenda knowing full well that a widespread audience would eventually be reached by default.

To generate anti-Israel sentiment. Perhaps it's his own agenda, or maybe he's working with another group which seeks to demonize Israel. Either way, I don't think he needs a financial incentive to demonize Israel, as it's most probably an ideological feeling he has.

Very often the people who demonize Israel are themselves Jews. Almost every single book to date which has suggested a controversial alternative history of either Jewish Ashkenazic origin, or Zionism's history in Israel, has been written by a Jew. Examples of the former being Arthur Koestler (the 13th tribe, which argues that Ashkenazic Jewry derives from the Kazhars, a 8th century eastern european kingdom) Shlomo Sands etc. With the latter you have Israel 'revisionist' historians, led by Benny Morris, Ilan Pappé etc..

It's a local Jewish newspaper from Atlanta. Do you think he's really seeking increased circulation? Are there 'competing' Jewish newspapers in the city of Atlanta? Probably not.

I think if he did write this article with the intention of creating an uproar, he carefully considered the consequences: His article would be remembered as an outstanding example of Jewish arrogance (the desired result), but his paper would retain it's readership, because after all, his readers are Atlanta Jews, who stick together, as we well know.

All he has to do to regain their sympathy is to 'apologize' for the article. In my opinion, his newspaper should be blacklisted for suggesting something, as an AMERICAN citizen, so flagrantly illegal. The only word that truly captures the essence of what he did is Chutzpah. This is a perfect example of it.

Already so many people think Israel controls America. By suggesting the assassination of Obama, he implied that Israel by accomplishing this act will garner the necessary leverage to keep America as Israels main support. Additionally, it gives people the false impression that Obama is so 'anti-israel', and that America policy is dictated by him, when that is patent nonsense. You take Obama out and the only thing accomplished by that act would be to put someone else with the same agenda in his place.

And what about the obvious fact of suggesting that in an American newspaper. Say Obama did get assassinated. EVERYONE would then know that Israel was behind it! And this in turn would be the catalyst for further anti-Israel sentiment, not to mention antisemitism, in both America and abroad.

When JFK was assassinated, it was suggested in some circles that a Jew did it, and this made the American Jewish establishment very paranoid. When it was discovered that indeed, it was a homegrown event, many hearts in America and Israel (JFK wasn't exactly on good terms with Israel. Lyndon Johnson was considered to have mended whatever break existed between the two governments) especially, were lightened.

This just shows that Jews are always considered when something like this happens; especially in the post Israel era, where Israel is considered to be tied at the waist with America.

However, since this was mentioned in some insignificant local Atlanta newspaper, one could argue 'it doesn't mean anything'. But since it's reached national attention, it means everything. If something were to happen (God forbid indeed) to Obama, undoubtedly Israel would be blamed, cause an idiotic, and perhaps collusive, American Jewish Newspaper owner suggested it as a shrewd POLITICAL move. And that would be the icing on the cake,. Obama would be viewed as a president that resisted the Israel lobby (which some argue he has been) and so in his death would be considered a martyr, inasmuch as he stood against Israel, which has been conclusively linked to the assassination because a) the view is already paramount that Israel controls everything, and b) because an arrogant, pompous newspaper owner advised this as a necessary course against a president that could be preventing American involvement in a military campaign against Iran.

Aside from all this speculation, of IF Obama gets assassinated, this suggestion by itself is moronic. It is ARROGANT, by far, that anyone would even suggest that as an American, showing that his allegiance is first to Israel, and only incidentally to the country of his livelihood. Also, it is just so obvious to anyone with a modicum of an understanding of human nature, that this political discourse of his would be used AGAINST Jews and Israel.
