Anyone know what it is? I do not live near any rail system or interstate highway. I live in a more suburbish/rural area.

Very strange indeed, I have heard low rumbling like this before, but never persisting this long or causing the house to shake and alarms to sound.

The rumbling is coming from the laser earth cutters underground as they dig their way 200' below you. There are 138 Underground cities built/being built and the rumbling is due to that. The 138 cities are just in the US and the tunnels all connect to each of those cities using super high speed rail systems. Of course if you did not get an invitation to live underground this year when dobby poop and cheetah puddy hits the fan then consider yourself not invited. They are working quadruple time and these tunnel diggers can dig 7km per day. It uses super high frequency lasers to disintegrate into evaporated dust to the nano particle leaving nothing in its path. So sleep well and just know that the government knows what is going on...its just that you are not invited to know or go.

I think a overcast sky would resonate sound better. Also what if the sound is coming from space. It kinda reminds me of the movie Contact.



Have any sound experts tried to find patterns. Could the earth be used as a speaker ?

Okay, I haven't been on to post in a while, but I had to reply this time, because I live about an hour away, and at about 3 PM today, I was napping and was startled awake by my house shaking and rumbling...I could only hear the roar with my head to my pillow, like it was from the ground, but it was very distinct from my neighbor's rumbling car. When I first woke up, I thought someone was banging on my walls (which would be extremely unusual), so I ran to the door to ses if someone was there, which there wasn't. It could be a complete coincidence, since it was 12 hours later here, but it seems strange nonetheless!

I live in AL and im hearing it now. Sorta like thunder but its not. Hard to describe.

Secret underground tunnels being dug maybe?

Speaking as a resident of a city thats being rocked by 30+ sizable earthquakes a day none of what has been described here sounds like seismic activity. I have been standing on bedrock/sandy ground/volcanic rock when they have come through and you can immediately tell they are earthquakes.

I will be monitoring this as we have at least two HAARP related sites on the south island of NZ and want to know if this has any relation to that topic.

this does seem to add more credence to the "secret underground bunker" topic, there is more and more evidence coming out to suggest TPTB are engaged in a massive effort to build a network of underground "cities" that are connected by high speed mag lev or vacuum trains. Having just read "UFO highway" (a great book btw) the concept of underground bases has piqued my interest and hope you guys get some answers soon

It's possible for there to be thunder close to you, off in the distance, but not in your exact location to visually confirm, it will sound like you described and seem strange.

A couple of nights ago I felt a strong vibration over top my house. It felt somewhat like a helicopter or jet was flying over head. The noise was not loud, but pretty deep.

If the noise the OP is hearing is akin to the noise you get sometimes when yawning hard then its not thunder, I know that noise and its more of a hardcore bassy bubbling sound, sort of like very very low level porridge boiling but a rhythmic humming at the same time.

And its NOT tinnitus, I have been a tinnitus suffer for many many years, I have the severe version and as I suffer from depression I have to live with tinnitus daily as its also stress associated apart from being a mental block. Tinnitus produces a phased swirling buzzing in your head, high end noises actually hurt the ear in interfere with the buzzing, there's no bass response, its all mid to high freq.

I've had the noise cancelling specialist fitting hearing aid type devices that you wear for 8hrs + a day and they failed to help.

four months ago or thereabouts, i was inside my house (central florida) and heard some strange loud sounds and thought they were sonic booms. my son thought something had exploded and ran out of his room, proclaiming "What was THAT?" i told him they were probably sonic booms. but then the air started to vibrate. and there were more intermittent booming sounds, they had sort of a pattern but not a rhythm (like it might boom a few times in a pattern but not again for a couple minutes, then boom then not again for 30 seconds). the whole event was about 5 minutes or maybe more in duration?? hard to recall exactly.

we live about 15 minutes from an air force base and about 40 minutes from cape canaveral and cape kennedy. canaveral launches government satellites and such and it does make a few loud sounds when they do but typically, nothing like this and usually not sonic booms, just some roaring sounds. sonic booms are usually related to the shuttle reentering the atmosphere

anyway, we decided to go see what it was. we went out in our backyard. middle of the day to see if we could locate what was causing the sound.. clear skies, no clouds. neither of us had shoes on and our backyard is typical florida grass growing on dirt. our grass is thin and not a thick carpet and our feet were contact with the ground. the sound was not coming from the ground. it was coming from everywhere. the whole sky was vibrating, pulsing almost, followed by more booms. eventually the sound got farther away. and then disappeared entirely after another boom. nothing in the sky.

whatever it was seemed like it was right over our heads and then a bit farther and yet, everywhere because the sounds would echo from all the reflective surfaces in the area (houses, fences, trees).

so i'm going with the theory that it is not fracking and it's not earthquakes and it's not the shuttle and it's not a satellite launch. i think it's cloaked space going craft of some kind. no i'm not kidding.

I live north east of Knoxville, this whole area is filled with underground caves. Unfortunately this sometimes result in sinkholes appearing during or just after heavy rains. It could be the earth settling undergound in your area which could lead to a sinkhole appearing, if not now then sometime in the near future. My first thought however is that it was a mild earthquake, I would suggest monitoring the local news to see if they mention it. Believe it or not!! It is back and a bit different thn before!!

This morning it is making a more unstable sound, with loud pops and cracks.

The best way to describe it this time is to imagine having a cheap plastice water bottle and wadding it in your hand!!

The Low Pass frequency is still very noticeable and the cracking and popping noise can be heard over the top of the low pass frequency. I thought maybe it could be jet breaking sound barrier?... but I don't believe the sound barrier breaking would persist for more than a second or two.

I also considered that maybe this time it is thunder or other related weather phenomena, which could most certainly still explain all these reports, but when I step outside it is obvious that it is not coming from one particular direction in the sky, or the ground for that matter.

This is pretty far out, to say the least. It has been going on now for about 30minutes and as I type this it seems to have subsided completely, with sporadic rumblings here and there, much more relatable to traditional rolling thunder... I wonder if this would be easier to pinpoint if you were in the sky?

I guess it would be difficult, considering the sound of the air rushing past, the engine noise of a small plane or helicopter.... maybe in a hot air balloon you would be able to discern a more certain direction and source of these strange sounds!!

Also, the more I think about it, the more it seems like this is something we are definitely not supposed to learn about the source.

There have been citizen reports of this all over the country and world, it has been proven to be reported on by the local media, and many people talk about it daily.

With this type of activity concerning an unknown event, it seems that the governments or Universities would be working hard to identify this and alert the general public,

Think about it, if something of this magnitude were to take place and the source of the event was not meant to be hidden, we would have the real explanation within weeks of initial reports. If it were something that would not cause harm or fear in the locals, it seems that the governments would want them to know, to keep any type of hysteria from breaking out.

If it were something that could potentially be harmful, such as a pre-cursor to an earthquake or other natural event, it seems that we would be informed of that as well, to keep from any type of injury or responsibility of having the knowledge and not disclosing it before a catastrophic event were to occurr.

However, doesn't it seem likely that if they knew the source, either because they investigated or because they invented the source, and it was some classified or clandestine technology, etc., that they would not want the public to ever know.

Keeping us in the blind of something like this, until the private sector technology catches up to current government technology, could give the owners of this thing many years to exploit whatever it does?

I know at this point I am really reaching for something, but if I can't figure out the truth to it, I can always have fun imagining what it could be.

Your current VLF description made me think of atmospheric whistlers right away. Did it by chance sound anything like the crackling in this?

I'm not saying you're actually hearing VLFs with your own ears without a receiver, but who knows, stranger things have happened on this rock. < shrugs >
