Trust me, Tin Foil, a Glue gun, some folding skills and some spare parts you may have strewn about the house make for a great Tin Foil hat!

And a sense of humor...you have to have that!

Stephie won't let me take my entrant hat into the house...it's relegated to the workshop only. She said something about Zombies, Yemeni terrorists, or people who believe in a God from Kolob showing up at our door if it is in the house.

Oh well, at least I can wear it while puttering about the yard.

This is a really cool contest and the bar now has been set for future competitions.

Especially gratifying for me is how supportive all the entrants are of each other. Sportsmanship at it's finest!

I'd describe it as post-apocalyptic Trojan, the kind of hat you would see Mel Gibson wear in a movie if the Trojans conquered the Earth, then evil aliens annihilated the Earth and then Mel would be the hero and save the Earth from the aliens by wearing this hat.

And it has lights!! Just wonderful! :-)

Next year, mine is going to have blow aliens out of the sky to beat that, or at least interfere with their comms long enough for some rednecks to shoot down their spaceships with squirrel guns.

It's entirely plausible, you never know!

Honestly there is no way i could choose a winning entry out of these if i had to.
Every single entry is unique and well thought out, i love them all, i just wish my printer was working to make this years calender, looks like ill just have to go and buy one at the newsagency.

That's a great recap and it's fun to see them all together like that. The judges certainly have their work cut out for them.

I'm disappointed there weren't more entries since you announced the deadline.

Perhaps it's because of all the wonderful entries we do have.

Next year I promise to volunteer to promote this contest early. I mean, what better contest could there be for symbolizing ATS than a Tin Foil Hat competition!

I could tip my hand on who I think had the best entry (that would not be me), but I won't.

As far as going on ATS Live...I think that would be a lot of fun.

At least they won't have Jesse Ventura meeting us in an alleyway grilling us on tin foil hat development.
