I hear that! Lawyers all, except Doctor Paul, of course. I just a few days ago discovered that it is completely LEGAL for Congressmen to do insider trading, while at the same time it is illegal for you the Citizen to do it. This way a Congressman can get filthy rich almost over night, and have plenty of plausible deny-ability. This is what happens when Lawyers sit in public office. You are right, they should all be arrested and tried, and sent to prison with the rest of the criminals. I think the first thing that should be done is the resignations of both Sen. Lindsay Graham and Sen. Kelly Ayotte or they will be fired. Also anybody else who supports this bill. So fired. Thank you but your services are NO LONGER needed. Where do these people get off?

You are awake and aware.

Want to conquer a species? Separate the bulls from the cows because the bulls (again this is just my own opinon) are keenly aware of what's going on and willing to fight to the death for their mama cows. (Just what I witnessed being on a dairy farm).

So many commercials, movies, TV series and the news portray men as stupid, mean, brutish and inferior to women (I'm talking American TV - I have no knowledge of other countries).

I don't watch TV much but when I do I am amazed at how mainly white men are portrayed as really stupid....it's psychologically indoctrinating and disempowering men in general from what I see.

It's the mass media owned by the 1% and hollywood (research Jordan Maxwell and the word hollywood) that are consistently mind conditioning the masses to down grade me.

Our court system concerning divorce is unjust...............80% of all divorces end with the mother (female) getting custody of the child(ren).

One thing to consider. In most of the animal kingdom, the female is the deadlier of the species.

Men are (again in my own opinion, and I'm a older woman) men think with the head between their legs.......most women are more manipulative than men and for the most part will consider money ahead of sex.

Don't believe me, if you're a man and old / ugly / fat and dateless.............win the lotto and see if you don't start getting marriage proposals.

50m question and yes I know this sounds nutzo - not keyboarding from a padded cell or on any drugs, except 1 high blood pressure pill and my vitamin pill..............who is the real enemy?

The CEO's for the most part, the police, the military, managers, are not the ones at the very top of the pyramid.

And I won't pretend to know who is because I'm usually the last one to find out most stuff anyway.

I studied the holocaust......good site: www1.yadvashem.org...

and what led up to it - how could the common ordinary German People / the Polish people who saw the smoke (human ashes) billowing up not realize, not care and now the question I raise - if you see Naomi Wolf's interview, "The End of America"...............she spoke with survivors of Nazi Germany and they said, repeatedly over and over again with America the way it is going.................."this is all how it began, happened in Germany".

The old poem I will repeat, not because I'm senile but it bears for each and every person reading this to really contemplate that what a government does to your neighbor or the guy down the street today could very well happen to you, your brother, your parents next week.

Inch by inch for the last 41 years (I'm 58) have been politically aware have watched our Constitution and it's Amendments get "edited" (shredded, dismantled) more and more with each president.

If all of us don't WTF up and really get involved, rebel, resist (and I don't mean violently - that would give TPTB a excuse for Marshal Law and than you're talking physical confrontation with a government deeply in bed with one of the most modern and mighty military forces on the planet...........we may very well find a repeat of Nazi Germany.

Impossible most people will flame my last statement................but research history - we keep making the same mistakes over and over again.

It's time we all learn from our past mistakes and start getting involved.

I found this site interesting. www.kickthemallout.com...

Personally, I feel it's time for some real change.

Now, do our votes really still count?

Is there such a thing as manipulating of the votes?

Senators demanding the military lock up American Citizens (not people that have robbed, raped, murdered, DUI, sell hard drugs, etc....but regular citizens for protesting - that's in direct conflict with the 1st Amendment.

To me, and I'm just a little old lady who has the benefit of watching our country change over the last 40+ years...............times are a changing and Americans better start caring or they may find themselves in a gulag or put against a wall, shot and buried in a mass grave.

Can't happen?

Wonder how many of the 12-18 million holocaust victims thought that?

Again, everyone please just read "The End of America" or at least watch the video on You Tube of Naomi Wolf's speech.

History, sadly enough, if we are not vigilant could repeat itself.

The time for caring about me, myself and I is over...............we must now move forward and begin to think of and care for each other.

Anyone that feels okay with taking another person's freedom away through any means, will have no compunctions of eventually taking yours away.

Peace and safe journey to all.

Read the book Corporatism by Jeffrey Grupp.

#1 on my list are the big corporations taking over our world governments (and the 1% that own them).

This is a excellent book.

Now do we all want solutions?

Two books that talk about what is happening and how we can address these issues are Chaos Point 2012 And Beyond and The Chaos Point The World At The Crossroads both by Ervin Laszlo

Forward written by Arthur C. Clarke

Twice nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, one of the world's leading systems theorists, founder and president of two international think tanks, and the author of 84 books, Ervin Laszlo is a visionary like no other. In his talk at East West he discussed his latest book, WorldShift 2012 - an overview of the practical ways we can transform our current crises into a process of planetary renewal. Contributors to his book include the Dalai Lama, Eckhart Tolle, Ken Wilber, Muhammed Yunus, Vaclav Havel, Deepak Chopra, Mikhail Gorbachev and others.

I second this notion ...

Are people still so naive, that they think they can "troll" this away with peace?

Who said anything about Nazi Germany? Nazi Germany what? They could walk around and incarserate people, and put them on trains and send them to nowhere land ... and make them dissappear?

The nazis are dead, who are these guys? They sure as hell sound like they've done this before somewhere?

Nazis Are Not Dead.. it just a Changed in direction! When ive have seen & heard what Israel is doing to the Palestinian People in the 60+ Years Stretch . its Like They are taking the Talmud Literately! just about !

Ironically the Big Twist as i said before in some threads here on ATS
If you look into the Past of the Treatment of Jews and Their Consideration of Undesirables by
The Nazi Party Rein from the early 1930s to 1945 It Makes you Wonder If Hitler has Read the Talmud
the part that shows the Treatment of Gentiles to Jews and Used the part of the Talmud against them!

Is Israel going back to the Old Ways of the Talmud ? and Going back to their Experience of Treatment From what the Nazi DID to them and Use that same type of Treatment to a certain Degree towards Non Jews . mostly Arabic Christians & .Muslims ?

NAZI Party ? Hitler Reads Talmud ?? NAZI ? hmmmm? Ashkenazi ??

REX 84. Rex 84, short for Readiness Exercise 1984, was a secretive "scenario and drill" developed by the United States federal government to suspend the United States Constitution, declare martial law, place military commanders in charge of state and local governments, and detain large numbers of American citizens who are deemed to be "national security threats", in the event that the President declares a "State of Domestic National Emergency". The plan states that events that might cause such a declaration would be widespread U.S. opposition to a U.S. military invasion abroad, such as if the United States were to directly invade Central America. To combat what the government perceived as "subversive activities", the plan also authorized the military to direct ordered movements of civilian populations at state and regional levels.

On one hand I find it unbelievable that this could be happening in this country, but on the other I find myself not at all surprised. The problem really arises from the fact that the "Media" will never expose this to the population at large, compounded by the fact that the majority of the populace has the inquisitive nature and attention span of your average turnip. Rather than waste their limited intellect in"Critical Thinking", they zone away in front of "Dancing with the Stars" and "Jersey Shores" while eating their Dominoes Pizza. Bread and Circuses. And those who really do pay attention are marginalized by that same Corporate Media as crackpots or racists or whatever other label they can come up with to silence them. Case in point: The TEA Party. The country will not see what's happening until it's far too late to do anything about it.
And don't think for a moment that anyone in DC is going to "Do the Right Thing". If there ever ARE any "Honest" politicians elected, they're either corrupted by the system upon arrival there, or they're given the Bums Rush out of there on trumped up charges of impropriety and crucified on the cross of NBC, CBS, and all the rest. The "Elite" there want to stay that way, all the while they pad their accounts at the expense of those who sent them there.
The "Police State" is ALREADY here, and has been for quite some time. Just look at the photo's of the police in various cities dealing with the"Occupy" movement: They're not the same "cops" that were patroling the streets 2 decades ago. They're nothing short of a city, state, or Federal Paramilitary Force for keeping the population under control. For cryin' out loud, some of the larger police forces in the country have armored vehicles.
Sorry folks, but I think that for us as private citizens, the war has already been fought and lost. And the sad part is, that for as well armed as I personally, and the citizens of the country as a whole are, it's been lost without a shot being fired. Not that I'll be willing to "Go along Quietly" when the Gestapo shows up at my front door, but the result will be the same, and the 6 o'clock news will report about another "nut-job" Blah, Blah, Blah......

Just a reminder. I am not clear on how the bill looked originally when submitted, but several amendments and language changes have been introduced and agreed upon that exclude citizens and legal residents from detainment outside the rules of the US Constitution.

Some discussion and links on that here: www.abovetopsecret.com...

Letter from Sen. Harry Reid saying that he will not even bring the bill to the floor until concerns regarding section 1031 and 1032 are reconciled. He did it pretty cleverly too, which, I wish he'd been blatant and called it what it is, but, he says by enacting these provisions to the NDAA it takes the tool of the justice system out of the hands of counter-terrorism efforts.

I've just found this thread. You're right, reading the bill is an excellent idea. Especially Section 1032: Thomas

Tak a look at 1032 (b)(1)

(1) UNITED STATES CITIZENS- The requirement to detain a person in military custody under this section does not extend to citizens of the United States.

This entire thread has been bogus from the headline on.

It's obvious you haven't read the entire thread, because that was mentioned several times already. The issue is the continual creeping of tyranny in our face. They are attempting to raise the temperature a couple of degrees on the pot of water that the frog is sitting in in order to boil it. Wake up, man.

If this bill passes, sure, citizens are protected. Somewhat. Are you just going to sit there when they take some innocent folks away that aren't citizens?......because it's not you?? If you see troops walking around, all it takes is one of them to take an interest in you or your wife....then what? You or her may be innocent, but they have to find that out for themselves don't they?

Oh, what's the use?

The article is full of inaccuracies. I'm often amazed how people here don't bother to check facts.

Let's not forget that the ACLU also fights for Pedophiles Rights.

Read the Bill then come back and see if you really think the article is accurate. Most of you won't bother.

Because if pedofiles aren't protected then no one is. If you have certain criteria that some group of people can reasonably be killed, then you are no different in your prejudices as the Nazis were against the Jews. By the way, that's probably where tyranny will reach it pinnacle when it gets right down to it. En masse pedofiles will get hauled off somewhere never to be seen again. And I'm sure you laugh. "Good riddence!" Kill 'em awl!" That's how the Nazis viewed the Jews. And in history to bring in the dark ages, all the educated class of men and women except for clergy were killed off weren't they? History repeats itself over and over. What if a kid accuses you of touching him/her?

In this day and age pedos are guilty of things that were perfectly fine back in the dark ages or even 100 years ago. They weren't criminals back then. You know what? People enjoy having a common enemy. Someone they can all agree on that needs to die. Every generation does. Today that happens to be pedos. Tomorrow, what? People that carry guns? Do you do your own analysis to find out if you really hate something or is it because of what i mentioned above?

As for reading the whole bill, I didn't. So I'll give you that. I guess I'll have to go ahead and do that since you're calling me on it and if it still says that military can operate inside our borders, then my opinion is still correct as I mentioned above in that they are just increasing the temperature on the ever heating up pot-o-water to boil the frog. --which means it's coming, you know, martial law?

The bill has been passed every year for decades supposedly.

The following are this years amendments. There were 270 in all, but I just put the ones of note up:

www.govtrack.us...

(11) S.Amdt. 1072 by Sen. Leahy [D-VT]
To enhance the national defense through empowerment of the National Guard, enhancement of the functions of the National Guard Bureau, and improvement of Federal-State military coordination in domestic emergency response.
Proposed: Nov 17, 2011.

(8) S.Amdt. 1068 by Sen. Ayotte [R-NH]
To authorize lawful interrogation methods in addition to those authorized by the Army Field Manual for the collection of foreign intelligence information through interrogations.
Proposed: Nov 17, 2011.

(25) S.Amdt. 1087 by Sen. Leahy [D-VT]
To improve the provisions relating to the treatment of certain sensitive national security information under the Freedom of Information Act.
Proposed: Nov 17, 2011.

(27) S.Amdt. 1089 by Sen. Brown [R-MA]
To require certain disclosures from post-secondary institutions that paricipate in tuition assistance programs of the Department of Defense.
Proposed: Nov 17, 2011.

(158) S.Amdt. 1229 by Sen. McCain [R-AZ]
To provide for greater cybersecurity collaboration between the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security.
Proposed: Nov 18, 2011.

To be fair:

(62) S.Amdt. 1126 by Sen. Feinstein [D-CA]
To limit the authority of the Armed Forces to detain citizens of the United States under section 1031.
Proposed: Nov 17, 2011.

There you have it folks. In black and white. No one has to go find them as they are right here.

Dear TheMatrixusesYou,

Thank you for your response to my post, you are absolutely right, I did not read the entire thread.

May I please try to explain to you what I was thinking and why I responded as I did?

I read the first four pages of what sounded to me like panic and rage. The Opening Post basically said "The sky is falling for freedom in the US." This was a dramatic and important claim so I went to the quoted source. That article had no links, so I started looking for myself and found that the headline for this thread was false.

I am not a brilliant researcher, so I was sure that the minds on ATS would have picked up on this right away and the interest in the thread would die down. After looking at four pages, and the last page, I saw no mention of the fact that Americans were exempt from this law.

I am surprised, since you say the exemption has been mentioned several times, that people are still expressing rage and dismay over a false headline.

As far as the frog and boiling water example goes, you are quite correct, that can happen. But why should we fight the government on battles like this when it only makes us look uninformed? It's a little like starting a thread saying a new law will require us to make milk blue. When it's pointed out that the law won't do that, someone would follow up by saying "Ok, but what about Monsanto and TPTB who are trying to control our population by killing us off? That's the real issue."

I do apologize for not reading the entire thread, but other than that I think my criticism is fully justified.

With respect,
Charles1952

As a Marine, trust me, I understand your frustration. This is not something I would be in favor of, nor would I blindly kick down your door without proper cause.

I will not go into detail about my own frustration with the U.S.A. right now, but just to reasure you, Marines are not mindless robots.

I do worry about my own wife's safety when I am not at home, due to the recent increased (apparent hate) here. I would like to express to you, I do what I do because I do love my country. That does not mean I think I am better than anyone, or have the right to take your own personal freedoms away. If I see an injustice, I will try to stop it, regardless of who is behind it.
