I hear ya. Maybe the remedy is just like the mid-east terrorists (again not supporting, just a good comparison in my mind) --- and that is to have a whole chain of command, that is hidden, so if one leader goes down, another pops up in another city, and on and on and on.

Really? Terrorists? Not a good comparison at all.....................BTW

The Weather Underground approves your message,emphatically.......

I know your type and am not playing into it. How's your knee feel? With all that jerking around and all...

China's more of a tyrannical capitalist country, rather than Communist. The days of everyone wearing tunics and spouting quotes from the little red books they carry are long over.

It's basically a Capitalist country with a government that chooses itself, and if the people don't like it, they have a choice - put up with it or be imprisoned or die.

Notice how much of the world is going the same way?

Sorry to be off topic but this thread is freakin hilarious, the adults vs the 1 kid.. Just a very telling thread of the cheerleading and utter egotistical crap being rolled onto a kid, whom I might add has acted far more maturely than most of the usua star magnets on ats. Lmao . "pwned* lmao. Internet cowboyism at its finest. This post will be deleted in ...

That's the whole problem with the movement and the Socialist/Communist agenda aspect.

This vocal minority OWS wants to force it's view on the whole and doesn't have answers only Gripes and complaints meanwhile back at the ranch, they want to dick around with peoples livelihood and threaten their well being in some grand directionless experiment with no solutions.

Now where the hell is the logic in that?

Oh and by the way 'We are going to get violent if our demands are not met'

I've already stated this on ATS before:

OWS is not a revolutionary group, they are a protest-awareness movement. They don't have a vanguard political party to represent them in government and really, they don't have much of a leadership to even make real demands for policy change.

They are simply a reactionary public movement. Just like back in the 'Nam days.

-----

PS: I must say that I am quite annoyed at those (like that neo96 guy) claiming OWS protestors are violent and hypocrites for being so. What do these guys expect, that thousands of protestors will follow the proper government-issued procedural guidelines for protesting and back down when police attack them first? Get real.

Once agains, OWS shows their stupidity and one tracked mind.

The police ARE part of the 99%, until they use VIOLENCE against peaceful protestors whom are only excercising their sacred Constitutional rights.

Pimps and drug dealers too, are only doing a job, earning a living, to feed their families. They too, in their own way, keep their cities safe in a manner of view - sexual misconduct and schizophrenia. But are they morally and legally correct? That is a question you should seek when you judge from your own one track minded high horse position over jobs.

I was reading yesterday that there were "followers" in the Rev War, women who would go around and help the soldiers, give them nursing aid, food, etc. They went into some pretty awful conditions to help the soldiers. That is the American Spirit isn't it.

But there is something very raunchy in all this OWS stuff, in that these people are fighting for some shady socialistic Utopia and amending the Constitution which the Rev soldiers gave their lives for,
and I would like to know why they want an ERA, but are not asking to abolish the amendment which gave the Intl bankers power over our national purse and sovereignty.

1. A clarification of their stance.
2. Peaceful and respectful treatment of non supporters. Which is about 98% of the population.
3. No destruction of public or private property.
4. Stop believing they speak for 99% and recognize they are but a small minority of the population.
5. Stop threatening violence if their demands are not met.

just a few for starters

This is why its hard to take you or the OWS supporters seriously.

You have no problem "wanting" to take the comparison of "mid east terrorists",and their command structure, and make it into the command structure of OWS. WHY??? What does OWS have to hide? It was one of the stupidest statements I have EVER heard actually. Do you understand people already believe this movement is BS,and then someone like you says something like that. You dont help their cause, and ironically try to insult me with a statement that criticizes me pointing out your failed logic, instead of clarifying or taking it back.

PRICELESS.

I slowly get off my knees, from laughing so hard..................

You are so quick to damn the socialist nations. What about Amerika? Why is it that most of the "socialist nations" citizens call us a repressive police state. We'd be advised not to thow stones when we live in glass houses.

Who is damning "Socialism" ?

I have issues with those who are calling for outright Communism while hiding behind the "Socialist" Name-brand. All neatly packaged to fool the bystander...

People call those who are critical of the Movement blind...

But of course there are socialist shills posing as "revolutionaries" in the occupations. There also are libertarians of the Right and Left, anarchists and apolitical folks as well.

Ok.. first I never said teachers, shopkeepers, emts et al were the enemy. I have no idea where you're getting that.

The police.. alot of them yes.. due to their own brutality. I wish I felt differently on that subject, but they don't even leave you the option to pretend they aren't rampantly corrupt. It has nothing to do with whether or not they stood around making 40$ an hour after 911. Just because one guy said that to you.. means THAT IS THE WAY HE FELT.

Many people supporting various causes.. say stupid things. [Teapartiers].. say stupid stuff. Democrats say stupid stuff. My lord certainly Republicans say stupid stuff (oops). You sir started off our interaction... by saying stupid stuff. There are such things as personal opinions.. but you seem to think anytime someone expresses an opinion it represents a whole movement.

The fact that you even bring up the water story... a story you don't even know was true... or if it was to what extent. It read like a badly scripted tv episode. Or if it was true that the guy likely spent more on electricity bitching about it then the water could ever cost. You don't see the need for perspective... how could you? You don't seem to understand the concept.

Once you get to the part where you start saying.. you guys need to stop doing this.. or start doing that.. because the country doesn't agree with you.. tell ya what bub.. produce something indicating you speak for anyone but you.. drop a line or give a shout, maybe we'll talk. Why.. because the country doesn't support you or your "ideas". I know this.. because I said it. Makes sense huh?

And some guy called you a shill.. and the 1%.. and you got your panties in a twist. And again, a supporter says these things to you... so of course that's how they all feel.

I don't know if your a shill or not.. I certainly hope shill standards are higher than this.. but it certainly is apparent that trying to have a coherent conversation with you is a complete waste. Wherever you're not misinformed, you inject fabrication and assumption, seemingly without rhyme or reason.

And on that note... toodles.

And on the bright side.. at least you learned Lincoln didn't own slaves.

Your welcome

I'll tell you what. Since this country has real issues that need real solutions not protest slogans.

How about this scenario...

Come out on the "Police's" side and smash OWS. Then when the dust settles
Then, turn right around and do what this country really needs and take it to Washington DC and remove those chowder head politicians that caused our problems in the first place [legally and by working the system the Founding fathers created in the first place] like grown up intelligent adults.

Restoring the Republic to what it was...

Haven't you ever heard of the Great Firewall of China? Do you know that Google(a company owned by Progressives) gave the Chinese govt the software used to filter any website which uses words like "freedom" to keep the Chinese citizens from having access to outside influence? Capitalist indeed! They are still very communist, just using American money and business to achieve their goals, like Hitler did in the 40's, and the Bolsheviks did in 1917. Tianneman square taught those Chinese freedom fighters what would be acceptable protest.

Cuba did move to communism.
"In July 1961, the Integrated Revolutionary Organizations (IRO) was formed by the merger of Fidel Castro’s 26th of July Movement, the People's Socialist Party led by Blas Roca, and the Revolutionary Directorate of 13 March led by Faure Chomón.[28] On 26 March 1962, the IRO became the United Party of the Cuban Socialist Revolution (PURSC) which, in turn, became the Communist Party of Cuba on 3 October 1965, with Castro as First Secretary."

Ha. I do know you. And I will not defend myself because of your fears, ask for some clarification from someone you trust before posting nonsense. Next time you try to pigeonhole someone with mind games, please understand context before it bites you on the behind. And then, read and re-read and then read some more why that comparison was made.

if you truly are protesting peacefully and you get wacked a few times by a police stick you start to think about it. You go back again protest peacefully and get wacked again. you get to thinking if we do not wack back we are not going to have a protest. you make all the necessary appointments withe the officails to air your grievances. You go back and get wacked again. You now realize something big is going on here. The system you live under is broken, you are trying to do something about it and you are getting broken. Everything is broken. If you really do not want to live this way you just might think about fighting back to let the authorites know this is serious this time. Do you want to live in debt the rest of your life so that a system can be perpetuated. there is no reason for this much debt. this debt is what the rich strive on.

Sorry. I dont go for that Rambo stuff that you advocate, nor would many, least of all imposing brutality upon peaceful protestors who only want their leaders to know that theirs and those they care about sufferings are genuine, as is their right to assembly and free speech is granted by the Constitution.

They may come a time when violence becomes necessary, as the saying goes - those who make talking impossible only makes violence inevitable.

But before that stage is reached, all means must be exhausted first, of which letters, emails, talks, even voting had not solve or alleviated the sufferings of the 99%. This peaceful stand may be that last peaceful means avaliable, for the leaders to address the wide ranging issues seriously, find the most common pains amongst the many problems, and solve them with as equitable as possible for the majority without alienating the minority

That's what they had been paid and elected to do, or should just gracefully resign and let others do the job if they have not a care for citizens, before SHTF due to refusal of leaders to correcft errors.
