First let me just give major thumbs up to King Lizard. You should put godzilla in the next one, that would be cool.

Did I miss something or isn't it possible that Dr.JIm is just a junior high or high school kid who made the photo's himself and posted them here just to see what would happen?

Why would someone post pictures like this on a website like this and ask us to only focus on where the photos were taken not analyse and discuss the photos themselves...which we did anyway.

My vote is for a kid who was either trying to start a hoax, pull a fast one or is really bored and his parents have locked him out of the porn sites.

Just my opinion though.

You did miss something, DrJim is a close family friend of Simon Gray - the owner and founder of ATS. And that's not something DrJim came up with, that's straight from the keyboard of Simon.. If you check back to page 1 or 2 (2 I think) I posted a link to the thread in which Simon introduces him to us.

I will say it’s odd to tell us to ignore the authenticity of the image and only determine the location and the type of aircraft. I don’t see the point, if the image is Photoshoped (in my opinion it is) the location and type of aircraft makes no difference because they were merged from different photos. The whole thing makes no sense as presented.

I think he would be grateful for such immediate help , and also understand the nature of this site . Everyone has been polite , and I don't think anyone would ask us to change our natures . Help delivered , skeptics oppinions noted , and some killer laser zapping photoshop pics thrown in at no extra charge !

Agreed, it would be nice to have an explaination.

Is this the beginning of another game.

Meaning no disrespect to Pantha, what are the chances on stumbling across that image in such a short time span?

I'm not saying Pantha is in on this, but maybe they new where the image was and were merely testing us?

No I definatly wasn't in on anything.
I do have to say that I was amazed myself when I found the picture.
It was suggested before that it only took 6 hours for an ATS member to come up with the photo, well the truth is that I logged in with my morning coffee in hand , just got out of bed, and clicked on this thread. I decided to have a scout around with google to see if I could find a similar landscape, to perhaps make some suggestions as to where this may be. So I typed mountains into my google search on my AOL homepage , clicked search , then clicked on images,and there it was on the first page that I came to. As easy as that. So it actually took me just 2 clicks of the mouse to find it.
Perhaps it was just a case of right place right time,I don't know. Perhaps DrJim or his collegues had already done an image search and it wasn't there at the time.
I have to say that the thing that I think people should be more interested in is not if the photos were manipulated, I think we have figured that out now, but focus on the story behind it all. If it was indeed the millitary that went ahead and used the picture anyway, and if so what are they trying to acheive with them.
I will be interested to know if DrJim is going to post any more abouut his research, he said himself that he had his suspitions as to the authenticity of them.
Also as someone who has done research in the past with UFOs, can we look forward any further posts from him in any of our UFO threads in the alienns forum or is he just here to research his own pictures.

That's just it really, I was kinda of joking in a way because nothing actually 'bad' or rude has been said, but at the same time I do try and show respect for the people that have put this site together for us, using many hours/days/weeks/months/years of their time and (I would think) a considerable amount of their money.

It is odd the way that information has been presented though..

I still reckon it might be another game..... They said there would be games when we didn't even know it was one.

the game is on lol it says a new game has started and part of the game is finding the game. i am convinced we found it.

I feel I must add out of fairness to make sure any credit goes where it should, that TheMatrix U2U'd me yesterday saying that he thought it might be the start of the new game too...

Well there are a few strange things about the whole thing.
I've been trying to work out a time line
Simon posted his thread to introduce DrJim on 31/08/04, but according to his profile,he was last active on 16/08/09. I don't know if his account works differently to members accounts, or if someone else can post in his name.
DrJim had the photos for some weeks before he posted them on here.
Dan on the timmerca site received the e-mail from the military asking if they could use his photos on 17/08/04 and updated his site with his reply on 30/08/04 so the photo's had already been doctored before permission had been denied
Also I have noticed that DrJim is usually online in the very early hours of the morning for the UK, Perhaps he is an insomniac the same as me, and may mean nothing , he may not even be based in the UK.
All of this may be meaningless, but for those thinking it's a game it may be of interest.

i believe SkepticOverlord can post as simon, just like they could post as cereberus etc. in FTR. i think its a game. i thought it was a game about last night or so.
