Perfect.

That is what a "true Conservative" can see, where a faux-conservative, Republican cannot.

Where-as I saw an army of Chinese Americans...like an Asian version of the Tuskegee Airmen and was not afraid at all but admit I didn't watch the video. Still the title didn't scare me nor does an Army of Chinese in Texas. I won't watch the video because well, I like to get our audience opinion and after reading those, decided I can't afford to get any stupider myself.

YES! Afghanistan and Iraq HAVE become police states, so how do you think the people in those countries like that? How do you think they like having foreigners "policing" their streets, searching their homes, and killing them when they try to rebel against this unwanted "policing" of their streets?

How would you like it if it happened in America? Oh, that's right.....it can't happen in America....because we're such bad asses and people wouldn't dare come here to do that to us.

See how some members decide to ignore, or somehow become blind to facts?

Perhaps NightGypsy should scroll up to the post where I gave excerpt and link about how a majority of tribes in Iraq JOINED WITH THE U.S. AND ALLIES TO FIGHT AL QAEDA/ISLAMIC EXTREMISTS...

Let's try to refresh his memory...

Iraqi Tribes Strike Back at Insurgents

By John Ward Anderson
Washington Post Foreign Service
Tuesday, March 7, 2006

BAGHDAD, March 6 -- First they killed the chief of the Naim tribe and his son. Then they killed a top tribal sheik who headed the Fallujah city council. Then they assassinated the leader of the al-Jubur tribe.

And now the reported killers of all these men -- al-Qaeda in Iraq, the insurgent group of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi -- have a powerful new enemy.

Tribal chiefs in Iraqs western Anbar province and in an area near the northern city of Kirkuk, two regions teeming with insurgents, are vowing to strike back at al-Qaeda in Iraq, a Sunni Arab-led group that is waging war against Sunni tribal leaders who are cooperating with the Iraqi government and the U.S. military. Anbar tribes have formed a militia that has killed 20 insurgents from al-Qaeda in Iraq, leaders said.

Separately, more than 300 tribal chiefs, politicians, clerics, security officials and other community leaders met last week in Hawijah, about 35 miles southwest of Kirkuk, and "declared war" on al-Qaeda in Iraq. In a communique, the participants vowed "the shedding of blood" of anyone involved in "sabotage, killings, kidnappings, targeting police and army, attacking the oil and gas pipelines and their transporters, assassinating the religious and tribal figures, technicians, and doctors."
...

www.washingtonpost.com...

BTW, I do think our military personnel shouldn't be used to police any country, however if we had left right after Saddam was dead he would probably have been replaced by someone as bad or worse from the socialist Baath party.

The Iraqi tribes that have united with us should have been contacted from the beginning and helped/trained to police their own country against Islamic extremists who have been attacking Iraqis.

Apparently, they have liked it very much. They even insisted that we stick around so they can organize their government and police forces. Much of the talk you hear about freedom fighters is made up. Most of hte insurgents now are being funded by FOREIGN nations and terrorist organizations in a proxy-war. There're many poxy wars all across the world. This is just one of them. But anyway, the Iraq people are, increasingly, taking on the burden themselves. That's why we're on a controlled exit. They have showed promise in policing their own country, of late.

Imagine this is what the rest of the world hopes will eventually happen, if you cannot get your country in order, and soon. We are fed up with your terrorism. China or Russia is not constantly terrorising all around the world, so we would be better off with either one of them taking a little visit and secure the USA as peacekeepers stopping you from sending any more troops out.

Ron Paul is your ONLY hope it seems...

Aw gee, poor you. I'm so sorry that you are getting dumber. Truly an unspeakable thing.

Perhaps you should read a few books and come back to us when you feel you are more competent.

Imagine that they had a country that could support its self, and didnt throw up empty hands to the U.S. every time we came around, then bad mouthed us when we left having given them everything they asked for.

Imagine living in an occupied country because your government would have executed you for posting such a video in a public place.

Also, imagine if you had used a less dramatic and misleading title for your thread.

Imagination is great. It inspires and promotes action. But it can also go too far. As the video in your post does.

But I submit, that im tired of occupying foreign countries...because im tired of paying for it.

Nothing else.

I think you need new glasses. A new perspective. Honestly.

Look, Russia and China are trying to muck up what's going on as much as Al Qaeda; i have no doubt about this. But it's all underground. Iran and other nations are doing the same thing. They call it a proxy war. Anyway, I hope to god we NEVER have to live with a China policing the world. OR a Russia. Believe you me, having the US as your daddy is a dream come true by comparison.

With the US you got a shot at freedom. Can't say the same for a China or a Russia.

You don't think it's a mistake that China and Russia almost always oppose us on these matters? When they drag their feet on peacekeeping missions like this. They don't care about the Iraq people or the Afghanistan people. They only care so much as it furthers their grip on hte world population and on the economic resources spread therein. They're far nastier than you imagine.

Are you kidding me?...

China and Russia are not constantly terrorising all around the world?...

Fist of all how the heck is the U.S. "terrorising all around the world"?... I didn't know that Iraq and Afghanistan comprised the entire world... Not to mention that we had/have several allies... Talk about an exageration turned into a lie...

Second of all, China invaded Tibet and are CONSTANTLY killing TIBETANS who want freedom...
China keeps using show of force and have said CONSTANTLY that they will invade Taiwan if they sign a declaration of independence...

Russia had most of Europe in a grip not that long ago and shut off the gas supplies to European countries DURING WINTER because these European countries would not pay what the Russians wanted them to...

Then there is the Chechen conflict, but of course the Russians and Chinese are not doing anything like the U.S....
In fact they are doing WORSE THINGS THAN THE U.S....

I am quite aware that many people "took up arms" with American troops. I don't need your help in this regard, but thanks anyway.

Why is it America's job to make sure that foreign countries elect "good leaders?" Do other countries occupy our soil to ensure we do the same? Get off your soapbox because I am very tired of hearing this rhetoric from those who keep supporting our need to impose our "views" on other nations with the use of the military.

i have to admit i didnt read all 6 pages of comments so im not sure if anyone mentioned this.. i read the first page and a few on this page.. (sorry about that, generally i do read them all before i comment but its late here)

i just want to say though.. and i don't mean to offend anyone here.. but that video is full of subliminal messages and psychological tricks, and it is not even subtle about it. i had to stop it half way through then skipped through to the end... and was shocked to find it was for this Ron Paul guy..

if that's the level they are now subjecting the American public to.. well... its not good..

Perhaps you should watch it and find out.

Perhaps you should summarize the video, instead of posting coy replies.
I do not just click vid links on message boards that do not at least have a summary of the topic.
I reserve the right to decide whether the video is worth my time or not.

Summary would be nice rather than trying to bait readers into clicking randon vid links.

Summarize a three-minute video? Come on, man. Your time is not that valuable.

"Peacekeeping missions?" That's what we're doing in these countries?

China and Russia's governments don't care about these people.....and you think the U.S. government does? I am astounded at this silliness I'm reading.

It's not our job to make sure foreign countries elect good leaders, but it is in our interest - or, rather, the interest of those making decisions in the name of the U.S. - to make sure that foreign countries elect leaders who will run their country in a way that benefits our decision makers. If Iraqis want to elect leaders who are friendly to U.S. interests, then we are all for their democratic elections. Otherwise, not so much.

I, like LightAssassin, want to know what subliminal messaging you are talking about. I admit it is not an ordinary Ron Paul video but it really hit home with me.

Stop being melodramatic.

There is nothing tricky or subliminal about it. The video is making a very strong point regarding a very serious issue. It's trying to make people stop and think. It wants people in America to put themselves in the shoes of others and it wants us to think about how we would react to foreign troops occupying our country! This is no TRICK.....it's something that Americans take for GRANTED because it never happens here. The fact is, I'm sure plenty of foreign countries would like to do this to us for ANY NUMBER of reasons. I do not have to worry about going through a checkpoint manned by foreign military. I don't have to worry about my home being disrupted by foreign troops, etc., etc. But I'm convinced of one thing, if the U.S. military continues to occupy foreign lands whenever the U.S. government gets a hair up it's a**, the likelihood of such actions by foreign countries on U.S. soil increases.

We should build a solid military defense and stay the hell out of other countries.

You don't like this kind of message by a political candidate? You think it's over the top? Well, these are very serious times, my friend, and Ron Paul's campaign has no more time to pussy foot around.
