Anything TOOL/A Perfect Circle... anything pink floyd... almost anything rage against the machine...some king crimson... some Red Hot Chili Peppers.... loads more

didn't put specific titles because I didn't feel bothered to but any rock fan would dig the suggested artists....

Ah, that's easy. Got to be "Philosophy of the World" by The Shaggs ( from around 1969 I think...) Marvelous.
I like a lot of stuff from your list but for some reason strongly dislike Scorpions, seem kind of fake to me (but again it's only subjective).

Status Quo - On The Level
UFO - No Heavy Petting
Michael Schenker - The Michael Schenker Group
Rush - A Farewell to Kings
Rush - 2112
Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath
Led Zeppelin - IV
The Black Crowes - Shake Your Money Maker
Jim Martin - Milk and Blood
Oasis - Don't Believe the truth
Rush - Snakes and Arrows
Joe Bonamassa - Had to Cry Today

Listening bliss.

Edit - OK I admit you can't listen to Quo you absolutely have to get on your feet and boogie with an air guitar, impossible not to.

I was gonna add to this thread but it seems that my taste of rock would fall more into metal. But for what its worth

all that remains -the fall of ideals is an awesome album and all that remains is just a great band overall if your into that.
you can list metal, country, whatever you like, i could'nt list every musical genre in the thread headline...it would be too long

That changes everything, then. I was trying to stay strictly in the confines of rock.

Cool thread I love my metal music, but one song springs to mind as apt to some up my feelings about how life is going for the majority in the world today, and the lyrics seem to be a war cry for the little people.

BREAKING THE LAW Judas priest

There I was completely wasting, out of work and down
All inside it's so frustrating I drift from town to town
Feel as though noone cares if I live or die
So I might as well begin to put some action in my life.

chorus Breaking thelaw

So much for the golden future I can't even start
I've had every promise broken, there's anger in my heart
You don't know what it's like you don't have a clue
If you did you might find yourselves doing the same thing too.

All time favourite album Painkiller, maybe its why I'm going deaf

Nice to see Perfect Strangers getting the love. DP was one of the few 70's bands that didn't suck in the 80's. And it's got Wasted Sunsets:

That will play at my funeral. Hopefully many decades from now.

I remember something from way back in 1985-86 after that tour was over. It was the same year Michael Jackson was touring Thriller. The same year Springsteen was touring Born in the USA. Master of Puppets, Fly On The Wall. Perfect Strangers DP reunion tour was the top grossing tour that year except for Springsteen's.

Yet not one of those songs from the album hit the top 10 all year.

The day is gone when the angels come to stay
And all the silent whispers will be blown away...

I agree with ya man....it's great to see DP getting recognition here for that album!
