not even close.

and yes the decline of america began with carters department of education guarantee probably didnt even know who started it.

and the decline of america began with every liberal policy championed today

never before in the history of this country has the american public been more ignorant and more broke

try as they might that aint all on the republicans gurantee without those republicans this country would be a hell of alot else worse off

sorry have better things to do hey but whatever hells you sleep at night.

As I have stated in my above post, and proven in this post in quotes, my fellow Americans can be embarrassingly ignorant.

If you want to pinpoint the decline of America, you'd better start researching the stuff that happened before Carter even took office, or was old enough to give a damn.

Let's talk about that ignorance right there.
We used to have a top notch education system. What happened to it?
You seem to blame Democrats for spending money on a failing system. So the Democrats throw money at it.
Do you honestly believe the CAUSE of the failure is too much money?
What has the other party been up to?
Firing teachers.
Cutting funding for schools and related after school programs.
Trying to insert imaginary friends into Science books.
No Child Left Behind.
Tell me the problem is too much money so we can really discuss ignorance.

Unfortunately, it's true that there has been a strong Democrat influence on the curriculum via the unions and the NEA. People really need to hear what's going on with respect to the spread of communism and radical agendas.

From coast to coast, news stories abound about communist indoctrination in U.S. schools. For example, the New York Times recently reported that a teacher working at Beacon High School in New York City had pictures of Che Guevara and Fidel Castro on the walls of his classroom, took students on a field trip to Cuba, and bluntly admitted to the school principal that he’s a communist. And Fox News recently reported that students at Black Pine Circle School in Berkeley, California created a mosaic that included symbols of communism and a prediction that “capitalism will fail.”

douglawrence.wordpress.com...

A look at the NEA website reveals a shocking recommendation to its members. The union that represents the teachers that we send our children to every school day suggests that its members read the communist-like manifesto of famed left-wing agitator Saul Alinsky.
That's right, the NEA wants its members, America's teachers, to become programmed by the ideas and policy prescriptions in a communist manifesto.

Here is how they describe Alinsky's books:

NEA recommends the following Saul Alinsky books to those members of our Association who are involved in grassroots organizing, especially Association Representatives (ARs) -- also known as building reps or shop stewards -- and leaders at local affiliates.

www.chicagonow.com...

Here is the NEA website. You can find lots of info on what they do and what they espouse. This page talks about social justice, which is really Socialist/Alinsky code for socialism

www.nea.org...

Here is a site I just found on the NEA site...teaching kids how using resources creates "energy vampires"

meetthegreens.pbskids.org...

Heres the page linking the site
www.nea.org...

Do I need to find more stuff on the NEA to convince you of the Progressive view being implemented nationwide?

Ok one more then

In a 2003 article titled “NEA Hastens Death of American Education,” veteran journalist Ralph de Toledano wrote that in 1938 “the Institute for Social Research, founded by the Comintern, appeared on the Columbia University campus, taking over the Teachers College, the country’s most influential school of education.” “Better known as the Frankfurt School,” de Toledano continued, “… [the Institute] eschewed the economic aspects of Marxism and promulgated a substitute based on Marx’s 1843 preachments. Later labeled neo-Marxism, the program called for the destruction of religion, the family, education and all moral values, along with the capture of the intellectuals and the instruments of mass communication such as the press, radio and films.

Are you suggesting are schools started trending downward the moment the department of education was created?

Well English seems to be an issue for you. Is it not your first language? You are here to prove Republicans are

I don't normally get involved with these childish tactics, but the door is soooooo wide open.
"are schools"? C'mon, you're trying to bash someone's English skills...get it right.
rofl

If only you got the point.
I am not the one rushing in here to defend myself and my group against the claim of ignorance all while displaying it. I have no problem admitting that I am ignorant. There is far too much for any one person to know for them to ever claim otherwise.
Surely you understood that I was simply pointing out that the first and then the most vociferous defenders against the charge of ignorance in this thread are both bashing the education system in this country, displaying the writing skills of a dropout, and doing it with great fervor.
I so far made on mistake and I can admit that I am not perfect nor do I know everything.

Do not think it went unnoticed that the other two did not pick up on this themselves though. Good watching out for them. Sorry you missed my point. Hopefully you understand better now.

Here's from the Eagle Forum

Senator Hillary Clinton told the NEA delegates that she will fight school vouchers "with every breath in my body." Reiterating the message of her book "It Takes a Village," she called for universal preschool for four-year-olds.

Senator Barack Obama likewise inveighed against "passing out vouchers." Former Senator John Edwards also announced his opposition to vouchers and proposed that the federal government pay college tuition for all students who will work ten hours a week.

Governor Bill Richardson wants to "raise teacher's average minimum wage to $40,000 a year." Rep. Dennis Kucinich goes all-out for "a universal prekindergarten system which will provide year-around daycare for children ages 3-5."
All Democratic candidates look forward to increased federal control of and spending for public schools. And they all attacked George W. Bush's No Child Left Behind law for not appropriating more funds to implement it.
After cheering the promises made by the candidates, NEA delegates buckled down to the serious business of spelling out their political goals, many of which have nothing whatever to do with giving schoolchildren a better education.
The NEA demands a tax-supported single-payer health-care plan (socialized medicine) for all residents (a word artfully chosen to include illegal aliens). The NEA supports immigration "reform" that "includes [note: this is a change from last year's verb "may include"] a path to permanent residency, citizenship, or asylum" for illegal aliens.

And as our government continues to grow who pays for it all? The "system" is way too large and out of control. Most of the money going into the education system doesn't go to the teachers or is directly focused on students as example. The Democrats say they want to help the poor etc but all they do is continue to build a bigger and bigger government.

Republicans are not much better, they mimic the Democrats now and have lost all care for fiscal restrains, but the Democrats never actually had fiscal restraints.

Bigger Government is not the answer and never was.... There is not enough money unless we tax EVERYONE 50% plus but then this monster would just keep growing. Obama has reached new heights in spending and more important wasting than we ever seen before, so surly the answer doesn't sit with him.... lol

It is? Well your writing of that English is extremely poor for an English speaker and it does not annoy me in the least but it sure goes a long way to diminish your posts in a thread calling your party the party of ignorance.

The fact that you choose to write like a 3rd grader helps prove that wrong how?

not even close.

Not even close what? Looking back at what you are responding to does not help.

and yes the decline of america began with carters department of education guarantee probably didnt even know who started it.

Carter started a department that was created in 1867? How did he do that? You probably mean when Carter returned it to a cabinet level office.

I LOVE THIS THREAD! Go on and prove how so not ignorant your party is some more with poor grammar (by choice?
) and a lack of fundamental historical knowledge.

and the decline of america began with every liberal policy championed today

Well I asked for facts twice already. I am guessing since this is your 3rd response with nothing but the same empty talking points that you have no facts to give.

never before in the history of this country has the american public been more ignorant and more broke

Speak for yourself. Our education is certainly in a sorry state right now but I was specifically hoping you might actually convince me that it was all the fault of Liberals instead of you know, just REPEATING it 3 times. Please refrain from a forth. If you have no facts to go along with it then I am not interested. I heard you the first 3 times.

try as they might that aint all on the republicans gurantee without those republicans this country would be a hell of alot else worse off

You know what they say about opinions, right? Tell me something honestly and keep in mind the subject of this thread. Why did you even bother writing that last sentence?
Really think about it.

Did you write it because you want me to believe it?
Or is there any other valid reason to write that out for me to read in a response directly to me?

I have to ask because this is part of the problem this OP highlights in the responses it has garnered. I know English is your first language yet you type like a 3rd grader. Knowing it is your first language and watching you fail miserably at incorporating makes you appear well...ignorant.

Do not take that as a personal jab. You admitted your writing sucks because you claim it is by choice. But here I am getting these responses from you that I am guessing I am supposed to take seriously. Tell me this really sounds out of place at some political rally you might find yourself at -
"This guy is an American and he can barely handle English? WTF?"
So how the hell am I supposed to take your responses seriously when you go out of your way to appear unable to grasp basic concepts such as your first language?

This is that sick trend that I have been watching grow and grow and grow and I really hope is culminating in the ignorant pool that is Perry.

Republicans are anti-science. This is proven by the threads on ATS about the texts books in Texas and I can dig up the articles of Republicans trying to subvert science in our textbooks in Texas which is the state that pretty much decides the countrywide curriculum. Bush and the GOP even made it a huge theme to not be all "sciency" and stuff.

Some of the biggest complaints about Obama and Kerry and Gore were that they were too smart and too "thinky." The GOP instead pushes people like Odonnel and Palin and promotes them as "just like you!" which reads, not all smarty pants like those intellectual "elite." (By the way, slipping from elitist to elite has made that into a compliment but only ignorant people continue to blast it without realizing the error.

So the GOP does not want you to think they are too smart but they want you to think they have the answers.
The GOP does not want you to think anything government does is going to be good for anyone but they want you to elect them to seats within that government so that they can do some good.

sorry have better things to do hey but whatever hells you sleep at night.

Whatever the hells I sleep at night?
Wha.....?

I think the OP has gotten far more than his answer.

If you were actually reading this thread you would have understood. I never judged anyone's character based on their command of the English language. I am not even sure where you think you see a judgement of character.
What I did was take full notice of a Republican in a thread about how Republicans are ignorant getting more than a few things wrong while using the written form of their native language.

I am sorry you do not see how that is relevant.

If I may chime in here, you seem to say ignorant things all the time. You consistently ignore important
information that is provided for you... the act of ignoring, is the very fabric of IGNORance.

I really guess I just wish I understood people like you. Pay attention because this is important. See all this arguing nonsense? Do you know why it is happening?

I did NOT disagree with you in my first post. I did not say you were wrong. I did not even suggest I had a different view. I simply asked you for the data to go with it. So far you have not supplied that data but you did get an argument where I guess you wanted one.

Why is this so difficult? Why is my asking people for backup and data such a problem?

Nothing in your entire post or all your links does anything to address what was claimed or what I have asked. This thread, again, is accusing the GOP of being a party that embraces ignorance. You respond to my asking how long and when did it start by saying "look what they are doing now" and leading off with some blog.

If I did not read so many posts by you guys on other threads I would honestly believe you were actors working for the OP to help prove his point.

Wrong! I was responding to the discussion you were having about education. Remember education is supposed to be what dispels ignorance.

And of course you have to accuse me or others of not having our own ideas or thoughts, we must be actors on someone else's behalf....

Also, I am refuting the concept of Republican ignorance by showing how depleted the education system is because it is controlled mainly by the Progressive agenda.

There is a huge difference between ignorant and stupid. It takes some ignorance to not know that. I never called anyone stupid but that is a word that has been tossed at me here.

It has everything to do with the subject of this thread. The OP is about the GOP being ignorant and loving it and here you are saying you write poorly by choice.
You must know it looks ignorant.

and making fun of the grammar syntax and sentence structures.

sorry play times over like i said better things to do here

Making fun?

When did I ever make fun? You said you wrote that way by choice. How can I even make fun of you if you acknowledge how it appears and admit you choose to do it.

I am not calling you stupid at all. I am just really enjoying the entire show. The OP brings up the GOP and ignorance and gets flooded with "No wes ainst ignorants!"
If it were not the very topic of the thread, it would be petty and stupid but it actually is the topic. Sorry. If you do not like my reaction to your writing that you do by choice then well...
