No Turkish ship will enter Israeli waters and if it will, it will be destroyed and the Turks will have nothing to do but to weep in their own misery for not learning not to break our naval blockade.

Oh please Israel couldn't couldn't even sink the USS Liberty a UNARMED vessel. If they went up against a real battleship they wouldn't be pissing their pants. They would be s####### them. But then again they may have sharpened their skills on those ships taking aid to Gaza you know the ones with the unarmed peace lovers.

You gotta laugh really. Israel crys and whines whenever a kid from West Bank throws a stone at them. If anybody shoots one of their soldiers they get out the F16's and carpet bomb a city. So I'm itching to see what they do when they take a proper beating.

Isreal can shoot bomb murder whoever they please and nobody is supposed to mention it, and certainly don't expect any apology for their attrocities.

Just TPTB trying to use the Book of Revelations as a script to force the (second) breaking of the covenant with God so the so called new world order of the Antichrist can occur. Do you know what the word "Israel" means in ancient Hebrew? That which is angry toward or fighting with God.

This once again proves the hypocrasy of Israel, they refuse to recognize Hamas because they say that they are a terrorist organization but they they threaten to give aid to another terrorist organization.

On the other hand however, does this not expose the hypocracy of Turkey?

For years they demand freedom and equal rights for the Palestinians, all the while treating their own Kurdish citizens no better.

Erdogan is becoming quite frightening with his new found military power. Since jailing many non-compliant, secular top military brass, and the rest resigning in frustration, he is drunk with power over a newly compliant military.

Middle East , historically speaking , can't take a power vacuum .

Turks are just acting consistent with their history and the comparision with Kurdish situation really doesn't have a leg to stand on . To start with , when Israel have a Palestinian Prime Minister and several ministers in her governments for over 80 years then this analogy would be more correct .

Erdogan is probably going to become a Caliph and Turks will probably revive the Caliphate in oncoming decades .

This is not a good move on Israel's part, it's now becoming tit for tat between Turkey and Israel.

Israel needs to do nothing and allow Turkey to dig it's own hole.

Can you show me anywhere in the history of Israel since 1948 where an IDF soldier was killed and Israel retailiated by carpet bombing a whole city?

Of course, there are no Scots among the Coalition Forces in Afghanistan......right?

It appears it's not ok for Israel to defend her borders but it's ok to invade another country that is no threat to Scotland......last time I checked, there were no Afghanis or Iraqis involved in 9/11 or England's subways!!!

Hmmmmmm, it's ok for the US & Coalition Forces to kill 2 million people in Iraq and Afghanistan....and I'm still counting the dead of Libyans!

Try telling that to Germany who got 3.4 million tones worth of bombs dropped on them in WW2 alone.

Yet more lies while pretending to be the victim.

I think he may be referring to the 'Seige of Beirut in 82'

In 1982 Israel re-invaded Lebanon following the attempted assassination of its ambassador in London, despite being aware that the attack had been carried out by the Abu Nidal faction, which was at war with Arafat's PLO. The architect of the war, Ariel Sharon (then Defence Minister), presented it to the Israeli government as a limited incursion into Southern Lebanon but took his troops to Beirut.

On 10 of August, when American envoy Philip Habib submitted a draft agreement to Israel, defense minister Sharon, probably impatient with what he regarded American meddling, ordered a saturation bombing of Beirut, during which at least 300 people died. That bombing was followed by the protest to the Israeli government by president Raegan. In response, on 12 of August, the Israeli cabinet stripped Ariel Sharon of most of his powers, he was not allowed to order the use of air force, armored force and artillery without agreement of cabinet or prime-minister.[5]

www.armscontrol.org... seems to get to those nukes they would have to kill American service personnel and if we invaded iraq over the mere fear of them having them what do you think we would do to some one trying to actively steal united states nuclear bombs or tactical nukes

from source ""U.S. Nuclear Weapons in Turkey

Turkey has hosted U.S. nuclear weapons since intermediate-range Jupiter missiles were deployed there in 1961 as a result of decisions made at the alliance’s 1957 Paris summit. Those missiles were withdrawn in 1963 in the aftermath of the Cuban missile crisis. Since then, no nuclear missiles have been stationed in Turkey. The only nuclear weapons that have been deployed are the bombs that would be delivered by U.S. F-16s or Turkish F-100, F-104, and F-4 “Phantom” aircraft at air bases in Eskisehir, Malatya (Erhac), Ankara (Akinci/Murted), and Balikesir.[12] All such weapons, whether on U.S. or Turkish aircraft, have been under the custody of the U.S. Air Force.

Turkey still hosts these U.S. tactical nuclear weapons on its territory, albeit in much smaller numbers.[13] They are limited to one location, the Incirlik base near Adana on the eastern Mediterranean coast of Turkey.[14] All other nuclear weapons have been withdrawn from the bases mentioned above.[15] Moreover, the Turkish air force no longer has any operational link with the remaining tactical nuclear weapons deployed at Incirlik.[16] F-104s have not been in service since 1994. F-4s are still in service after modernization of some 54 of them by Israeli Aerospace Industries in 1997. Yet, only the F-16 “Fighting Falcons” of the Turkish air force participate in NATO`s nuclear strike exercises known as “Steadfast Noon,” during which crews are trained in loading, unloading, and employing B61 tactical nuclear weapons.[17] The Turkish aircraft in these exercises serve as a non-nuclear air defense escort rather than a nuclear strike force.[18]

I definitely dont think you are wrong to be worried, in fact I think being worried is very prudent.

It does seem that Israel is partnering up with Greece and considering the tension that already exists between Greece and Turkey this is just adding fuel to the fire.

What worries me is that this could set the whole region on fire because if Israel and Greece team up against Turkey i think Turkey might just turn towards Iran, Syria and their allies for support which would mean a major regional war.

I am also not certain what would happen with regard to Turkey being a NATO member. If they get embroiled in a war with Israel what would NATO do, how would the U.S handle the situation, being an integral member of NATO but also the main supporter of Israel?

Could this be the spark that sets off WW3?

as a nato memeber, an attack on turkey is an attack on all. since israel is not an ally, nato would have to defend turkey against israel.

but if turkey decides to unilaterally attack israel, nato could always expel turkey and they would be on their own.

This is nothing but a last ditch attempt by a small group of so called devout sociopaths to bring on the prophecy of Armageddon. Nothing good comes of reliving ancient tribal feuds. As a matter of FACT, tribalism and other manmade divisions have been manufactured in an attempt to prevent mankind from realizing our true infinite divinity.

I got news for the bitches that be. It's too late. Love is the key to unlimited potential to create. For to create is divine. To destroy is barbaric and demonic.

I agree with you completely. NATO is supposed to back its allies. But there is one big problem. America. We are such a whore for Israel that anything they ask of we do. Our Congress is ready to send any amount of US Soldiers to die for Israel. Just look at our politicians. They constantly put Israel first. So to think that we would side with NATO and go against our "big daddy" Israel... well.. it will never happen. Stupid politicians, who have zero loyalty to America will not allow it. Israel has done its job with the likes of AIPAC and that fear monger Abe Foxman.

Turkey is no joke. And they are MORE than sick and tired of Israel. If I recall correctly, all they were asking for was a proper apology from Israel for the murders of their citizens. But of course Israel couldn't do that. So lets just say Israel attacks a Turkish ship, thus creating an all out war between Israel and Turkey. Lets look at what they would be facing, from a strictly Israel -vs- Turkey point of view (no one else involved).

(All stats are current as of 2011)

Turkish Active Military Manpower: 612,900
Turkish Active Reserve Manpower: 429,000

Israeli Active Military Manpower: 187,000
Israeli Active Reserve Manpower: 565,000

Turkish Military Fixed Wing Aircraft: 1940
Israeli Military Fixed Wing Aircraft: 1964

Turkish Military Helicopters: 874
Israeli Military Helicopters: 689

Turkish Military Land Weapons (Tanks, Artillery, etc): 69,774
Israeli Military Land Weapons (Tanks, Artillery, etc): 12,552

Turkish Military Navy (All Naval Ships): 265
Israeli Military Navy (All Naval Ships): 64

Strictly by numbers, Turkey beats out Israel.

As we can expect The United States to come to Israels aid if a war broke out, we must also expect nations to come to Turkeys aid. As it was already pointed out by someone else, China as well as Russia could step in to aid Turkey. The two nations are more than sick of America and its "allies" gobbling up the middle east. Also, one would have to expect other nations such as Syria, possibly Egypt and Jordan to take advantage of the situation and go against Israel.

One thing to keep in mind in this situation is that the armed forces of America are already stretched thin. Russia and Chinas forces are not. Just something to keep in mind in the very very small chance these nations became involved.

Another interesting point, regarding what NATO would do. Brittan did call for an end to the blockade of Gaza after the flotilla attack. They do have a large Muslim population. I would think they would either stick by NATO, or just sit this one out. France I would gather would also side with NATO.

As far as nukes are concerned. America might not "mind" Israel's use of them, but I would venture to guess every other nation on the planet would be none too happy. Israel would basically seal its own coffin if it were to even consider using tactical nukes.

The main thing to keep in mind is that Israel has really been acting like a spoiled little rich kid. Thumbing its nose at everyone, and throwing a temper tantrum when it doesn't get its way. Many countries and people are starting to see through this "victim" facade that has been put on for the last several decades (if not centuries). Israel is pretty desperate right now though with the vote for Palestinian statehood. If Palestine should win, then the Gaza blockade and all of the land grabs that Israel has pulled off would be seen as humanitarian crimes. Basically they would be in big trouble. Of course they already have America's veto in their pocket so they probably aren't as worried as they should be.

Israel should really learn to calm down, keep quiet and focus on their own internal problems. They are pushing everyones buttons right now and I think that when push comes to shove it won't end well for them. You can only slap people around so long with your body guards before your body guards realize your going to far and walk away.

Added to note: Egyptian citizens just destroyed the Israeli embassy there. How well does that speak for people siding with Israel?

Turkey and the United States are bound by a military agreement. We would never choose Israels side over Turkeys, regardless of how much more of a friend they are to our politicians. If we break our military alliance, what would that say to the other nations of NATO? NATO would fall apart faster then pull pork.

A hurting for Turkey?? I highly doubt it, it is simply history repeating itself just like the world wat 1 era when the British and Russians couldnt invade Eastern Turkey themselves so they had to make promises to the minorities in Turkey like the Armenians and Assyrians which only resulted in a genocide of Armenians, and Turks swiftly took their land back after a few years. This time it is Israel and Turkey doing this with Israel again backing pkk and Armenians and Turkey backing Palestinians(not that Turkey or Israel give a s#*t about these people), and i can assure you its only going to end badly for the Armenians and Kurds while in a few years everythings going to be back to normal for Turkey and Israel. Its always the minorities who suffer when two super powers exploit them for their own needs, in this case it may be a whole fake scenario played out to attack Syria without making it obvious that Israel is behind it all.
