Clearly, when someone has a different opinion and presents it in a non-attack way, you run with your "I can't have an adult discussion"...no wonder. I have only stated my opinion and how I see things. I even mentioned that we could give people the option to opt-out. I think that I have been respectful and open to ideas. So your response, allthough you skipped-over my facts, link and rebuttles against your statements, has been welcomed and I have not made any comment against you personally. But you will take it as you wish.

You continue to use buzzwords like theft, predjudice and other buzzwords that are used by half-assed poltical hacks in an attempt to deflect the issue into other areas. You have no argument other than that it's theft, yet when confronted with other areas in society that you benefit from socialist taxation, like police and roads, you make limp arguments or fail to mention it at all.

In my opinion, your argument is based solely on a political ideology. Mine is based on compassion and common sense. You can play politics all you want, just rememeber that I don't play politics at the kiddee table.

Yes, I understand Jesus wouldn't steal to feed another person, but he didn't have to. He could create food where there was none, he could multiply fish to feed 1000's and make wine for all!

Jesus talked about compassion for fellow Men, and how it is honorable to serve your neighbor instead of trying to covet his wife! That's what I am refering to.

So your saying that we should get rid of the ACLU, put prayer back in schools, the ten commandments back in our court houses and start teaching people once again to listen to the word of God?

I am sorry, but this person has been putting words into my mouth, not reading my replies and assuming their prejudice in place of my words. you can call it whatever you want, I call it an attack when somebody ignores what I say repeatedly and only hears what they want to hear, not what is said that is not having an adult discussion, that is an attack. I have had plenty of discussion on this forum and invite you to read my previous posts in other threads as proof.

You are intitled to your opinion though. thanks for sharing.

This is all my fault, I admit it! I did not realize that the entire premise of this thread was for the extreme right to bash the socialist commies, wah wah about how the tea party is treated bad, even though you have the hardest working political machine on your side, and make comments about how you guys could whoop the liberals in a civil war!

I should not have expected to have a good discussion in a tea party thread! I realize this folly and I will move along.

MODS: Could you please create a new forum for the Tea Party folks? I think they deserve their own forum....lets call it the "Political Masturbation" forum!

Lol, I can tell you from much experiance that this is the way many liberals debate.
If you show them that they were wrong then in their next post you will see something like "YOU misunderstood, what I really ment was........."
If you type something that is not absolutely straight forward and to the point they will spin it, twist it and take it so far out of context that you can no longer recognize it as your own.
If you really get the upper hand they try defamation of character, deny, deny, deny and back peddling .

I didn't say that. I don't know what the ACLU has to do with the discussion. You do know that the ACLU does defend religious freedoms and such, right? Do some research, maybe you would be surprised at what they do.

Sure, we should allow people of any faith free time to pray if they so choose. But you can't force people to pray.

Sure, I guess. I would question its constitutionality, but having the 10 commandments plastered on the wall does not mean the people going in or out will be better Christians. But if we do that, does that mean we have to put quotes from the Quoran, or bible of the flying spaghetti monster at the court house as well? According to our constitution...it would only be right.

Don't they do that in church anymore? With all the many churches around my area I would have figured that they would teach about God. Guess not!

Do we need to teach about the Christian God, or any god, in schools? NO. I believe it's prohibited by the constitution, and if the churches were doing their job the schools wouldn't have to pick up the slack.

An analogy I like to use is this; imagine a person with a broken leg.

The Tea Party would like to see the person go to physical therapy, use crutches, a cane, then walk on their own. It'd be painful. But the patient would learn to walk again, and become self-reliant.

The progressives want to give the person a wheelchair (bought by someone else). They don't want the person to go through the painful process of rehabilitation. They want that person to stay in the wheelchair until the legs have atrophied to a point where they CAN'T leave the wheelchair. They want that person to be dependent. They want that person to NEED them.

I think it is more like the Tea Party would like for the person to try and find a doctor he can pay with chickens or sex. If they can't they will just say survival of the fittest.

The Republicans want the doctors to be able to milk the federal government and the persn of every dime they can get. If not then ask a church to help. If they can't they will just say survival of the fittest.

The Democrats just want people to have health insurance so they can go to the doctor to get treated without financial wealth being taken into consideration.
