Several Objects Inbound with Elenin. 2 Observatories Confirm ---- Aug 2011

Here's the deal, when looking at the images as a clip you can clearly see multiple objects moving. Elenin's coma was just measured at 200,000 km and these objects are way far away from Elenin's coma.

Seeing the multiple moving areas of light that are in motion it would seem that indeed Elenin does have some companion fragments coming in with it.

We only have the one video showing the two other moving perhaps comet fragments which appear to change positions in the still shots. So are they orbiting around it perhaps?

Can someone please either explain, confirm or debunk what is going on?

Yeah...Something has always bugged me about that picture.

I have a hunch Elenin is not the only thing out there.

Very interesting. Will bookmark this thread, in hopes that some folks around here with more understanding of astronomy will stop by and make some sense of this.

Wow, that's wild...I had no clue.

I wonder what the distance is between them considering we are supposed to be going through the tail of it. Hopefully we're not on a collision course with those. No one would have suspected that one...

*Edit - The only possibility I could think of would be planets in the distance.

Can it be determined how far away they are? This is interesting. Flagging this and hopefully Phage or somebody will comment.

They seem to trailing each other. I think Comet elenin is not alone.

I have not been one to jump on the Elenin wagon, but after seeing this I am very curious!
I too wonder how far apart these are...

Could this be a glitch or mistake of some kind in the film??

No. And the one that appears to be the size of Elenin has over taken and passed the smaller one and is pacing Elenin

probably just different objects seen in the field of view, probably asteroids.

So Elenin is with a cluster of other comets we don't know of..

Yikes! I wonder what that other object is??

Could it be much like the comet that slammed into Jupiter and be breaking up, or did sometime in the past?

Arn't we possibly going to go through elenin's tail? If it is a broken comet...YIKES!!...this could be bad...


Or it could be a glitch of some kind....

Perhaps heavens gate got the wrong comet??

I think everyone is overreacting. The pictures are blurry it could be nothing at all or a simple glitch.

3 asteroids following the same way in parallel? Wow this is a hell of coincidence.

Ok.

These objects are too far from, and too inconsistent to be traveling WITH Elenin.

There are a metric ass-ton of objects in space. Just because two things move in the same length of time does not mean they are related.

Now, when you look later, and realize that the object you originally saw with Elenin no longer appears, it is safe to assume that it was another body and has moved out of the field of vision.

Look at ANY pictures of space, you'll see plenty of bodies that move within the same images.

I'm not claiming to know exactly what these objects are, I'm sure if you wanted to spend some time on the JPL small bodies site you could match up the dates and times with other small bodies in the sky.

if you watch enough youtube you could guess it is Elenin, Niburu, and the brown dwarf?

I would like to see some astronomy to descrive what they are

There are no other objects. What there are artifacts from the processing of the images and hot pixels.
