Just one thing I want to say to you, read up when the name 'Jesus Christ' was invented. You will be surprised if you search the truth, and find out hes only 500 years old. J was invented around 1600, so nobody absolutely nobody was calling on the name 'Jesus' before 1600. If you did that during the Messiah's time you would probably be stoned to death claiming to be another Messiah. Yahuwshuwah is His Name, and He came in His Fathers Name Yahuwah. He was Hebrew, not English or Latin or Greek. We cannot change the Word spoken from the Angels to Joseph (Yoseph) about the name of the Messiah Yahuwshuwah. He doesnt change, neither does His Name. Check out Called2bholy on youtube.

His mae in Latin and English is Jesus. Look it up in the OED (Oxford English Dictionary).

His name is pronounced and has different spelling depending what language it is written in or spoken.

Sorry, I'm busy... call back later...

Let me quote from Gospel of Thomas:
Jesus said, "A man had received visitors. And when he had prepared the dinner, he sent his servant to invite the guests.
He went to the first one and said to him, 'My master invites you.' He said, 'I have claims against some merchants. They are coming to me this evening. I must go and give them my orders. I ask to be excused from the dinner.'
He went to another and said to him, 'My master has invited you.' He said to him, 'I have just bought a house and am required for the day. I shall not have any spare time.'
He went to another and said to him, 'My master invites you.' He said to him, 'My friend is going to get married, and I am to prepare the banquet. I shall not be able to come. I ask to be excused from the dinner.'
He went to another and said to him, 'My master invites you.' He said to him, 'I have just bought a farm, and I am on my way to collect the rent. I shall not be able to come. I ask to be excused.'
The servant returned and said to his master, 'Those whom you invited to the dinner have asked to be excused.' The master said to his servant, 'Go outside to the streets and bring back those whom you happen to meet, so that they may dine.' Businessmen and merchants will not enter the places of my father."

That's more like it, mate! Very similar to the Four Gospel Accounts. Though not a part of the major Canon the Gospel of Thomas is pretty bang on in accordance with The Four Gospels and does not disagree in any part with them. Could well be authentic!!!

Be careful of a lot of that stuff, though. A lot of writers at that time wrote false testimonies, twisting the Word. St John writes about them in Revelations, the ones whose deeds Jesus "hates"! For example, The Gospel of Mary is a lot of worthless nonsense and has nothing to do with Christ. It is made up.

If you stick in whole to the central theme throughout the Old and New Covenants you will not get lost.

You wrote (on gospel(s)):

["Could well be authentic!!!]

What is an 'authentic' gospel? What are the deeper 'authenticity' criteria?

How do you pronounce Muhammad in his native tongue? Uhh Muhammad.

How do you pronounce Yasser Arafat in his native tongue? Yasser Arafat.

How do you pronounce Mau Tse Tung in his native tongue? Mau Tse Tung.....

Get my point yet? Go change their names and call them in your language and see if they feel respected.

The Scriptures do not say you pronounce the Name of the Father and Son in whatever language you make up along the way. He is eternal, His word is eternal, His Name NEVER CHANGES and will always be Yahuwah, and the Messiah Yahuwshuwah!

As much as I see the need of adherence to forum rules, and as critically as I am to invasive missioning of any kind myself, I value free speech much higher. As far as possible, it's better to 'shoot it out' in the open, than even HINTING at restrictions (apart from obligatory topic-relevance and manners) or censorship.

If opposition to christian missioning can't stand on its own legs, we haven't really anything of value to come with.

No need to call the cavalry in.

You are certainly welcome to your view my friend. Here is my view on the ole name thingy.

When Jesus went healing or when he stood on the sermon mount or when he did any of the miraculous things accredited to him did he ever once say in boastful pride, "I am Yahuwshuwah! Tell the world what I did!"?

Of course not.

Why?

Because he wasn't healing as Jesus or Yahuwshuwah
Because he wasn't teaching as Jesus or Yahuwshuwah
Because he wasn't working miracles as Jesus or Yahuwshuwah

He did those things as THE Son of God, THE Son of Man, in the name of the father. Christ did not exalt himself, and neither should anyone else. Self exaltation is not love. Exaltation of others is not love.

37He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. 38And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. 39He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

Secondly, my understanding of Christ is that he did not demand respect. If he did not do it in life, if he did not demand it in death, and if he did not demand it once risen from the cross, why would he suddenly break from what he taught, how he lived, how he died, and the reason for his resurrection to show such a weak characteristic as arrogance by demanding respect?

As far as YhWh, well call it want you want and I will call it what I want. If that which is all can be constrained to a single name, it isn't the all. That which is lesser will NEVER be the Greater.

More importantly than the name pronunciation in my book is the meaning behind the name. The meaning is the spirit, and the spirit is the life of the name. In either case, I am.

Thanks for sharing your view my friend. I hope you receive my view in the same spirit of sharing

With Love,

Your Brother

But seriously, Jesus is just alright with me, it's others speaking for him that kinda turns me off. Live the example instead of preaching. To convey inspiration, try art....

I watched the youtube vids

I really dont think Jesus is going to say the words 'Shut the FARK (not the actual word used, but you get the idea) Up'

Sorry, but his message to people wouldnt come in this form, with such an aggressive overtone. He is about peace and love.

this is of course not a message from Jesus. There will never be a message on ATS from Jesus. There will never be a youtube video from Jesus. There are no chanellers in the world now or ever that are channelling Jesus. This is truth, and to claim otherwise in error. Jesus told us how to find him. Not one word of what he said can be changed now. Not one thing can bee added to His words. He did not say, I will probably appear as I am now, but maybe keep an eye in the internet just in case. No. So we Christians can rest assured 100% that this nor anyone else is Jesus. I know a lot of people claim to be channelling Jesus, but they are either lying or are deceived by a different force - one which we have also been warned about in the Bible.
Trust me - when Jesus arrives, the whole world will know. He will not speak in the minnd of one or two people. He will not send messages on ATS through one person. He will burst upon the world and all will know He is here and what His messgae is. There will be no doubt.

Really, and the Bible has never been manipulated?

What if it has, and Jesus has attempted correction?

The material I have read does not subvert from his original teachings, but seeks to clarify them in a better understanding.

Firstly, the book called: New Teachings for an Awakening Humanity, but this costs money but I also found these...

The Pheonix Journals: Journal 2: And His name was Immanuel / I am Sananda this one is free to read. It's an enjoyable read, regardless.

Jesus Christ calls you
Really? My phone isn't ringing? Oh...you have his message for me...but I thought you said he was going to call me? How can I trust that's a genuine message from him? It's just like the bible. Claimed to be from a higher power. But it isn't.

Jesus, why did you sacrifice yourself to yourself? And, was it really a sacrifice since you knew you'd be coming back alive and live in heaven forever? Also, do you consider yourself a zombie, and if so is the only way to kill you again via a headshot? Thanks for your help

i am sorry - i have already looked into the whole Sananda thing and have determined it to be another hoax.

as for the Bible. I am aware it has been manipulated, or mistranslated at best, however I also know God to be all knowing and all powerful, and thus He would not allow his messgaes to become diluted or lost. I am sure He has ensured that the Bible still contains enough truth to save us all and tell us what we need to know. I believe that is why He carved the commandments, in stone, so that no matter what else may be lost in time, those ten laws will hold forever, unbreakable to any who choose to learn them.
God rocks - and is and always ever shall be at least a dozen steps ahead of the smartest of mankind. I would never presume to think that any human could pollute any words He deemed necessary for us to know. Seems blasphemous to me.

Sorry, what do you mean the whole 'Sananda' thing?

Even in Revelations he is called Sananda.

This is where the issue lies. Everyone complains that the scriptures are not updated. When someone comes along 'clarifying' what was said (In brilliant ways) how is that evil or a hoax. Had I not read these I would not have even considered spirituality. Are you suggesting now that I should go back to telling my children there is NOTHING after death....

It's BS. The new testament is peoples perspective of Jesus time on this planet....NOT HIS OWN WORD's. You cannot discount this factor.

All material, that comes across as good and useful, delivering the same simple message of Love, should always be considered.

I urge you to read 'New Teachings of an Awakening humanity', you do more harm being closed minded.

actually, the fact that i looked into it and did some basic research should show that I am really not close minded. What I learned was that there is NO mention of the name sananda in the Bible, and anyone who speaks intelligently on the matter all agree that there is no basis whatsoever to think sananda is a legitimate name for Jesus, in fact many saying he is an antichrist if in fact sananda even exists.
I do not know what you should be telling your children - but i know i stay away from the name Sananda.
Do you care to share exactly where in the Bible it mentions his name?
