I see more and more news stories like this everyday. Police going way to far when handling perceived crimes. What is going on? and what can we do to stop it? there has to be something that can be done about things like this. Warning...the pics you will see in this news article are very graphic.

on their evol, what a shame Homeless-Mentally ill-beaten to death by those who are supposed to protect and serve tasered also 6 smh. This is why some develop the ftp mentality, he looked pretty bad like they took out some frustrations on him. Im am sure the 3d system will put them on pay leave and let them sit at home and get paid as they forget they have shed bloood that THEY must rebalance.. SAD as eva and rip to the sent. Unbelievable, looks like a gang woopin. Well the REAL GUARDIANS WITH ORDERS FROM THE MOST HIGHEST THE REAL JUDGE WILL MEET THEM EVENTUALLY as they stand before the book of life in judgment see if their names make it as they are asked WHY and to justify their actions before the beast that may consume their energies. Sad, and i see the many threads on ATS that bash policia and sometimes feel bad that the societies are feeling like this about those designed to protect them. But then we get this and it just reignites the flamming swords.
yet Casey got policia escortes and protection??? EARTH knows better

I am soo pissed right now. To protect and serve, what a effing joke that is these days.

I am a firm believer in Karma and these piggies have a lot of it coming their way soon.

Fullerton Police department number:

How about waiting for all the information to come out. So many people on this site are ready to believe anything before they have the whole story it really amazes me sometimes how you guys are so spoonfed. Get all the facts than make up your own mind about what was justified or not.

No need to be sheep and follow the crowd.

How can it be justified he was mentally ill and homeless they should use caution more instead of aggression. How do you think they would feel if a force of good approached EVERYONE OF THEM that are tagged ignorant protectors in the same way they harmed others. They would want mercy but have shown none.

LOL you are hilarious dude. Your telling me that Kelly Thomas deserved to be beaten and placed in a coma. He paid with his life, I wonder what he did to have his life taken away from him. Did you even see the picture in the link?

The story is right there. Thats it. What more do you want to know? The amount of chromosomes in his DNA at the time? Its right there in your face and what I see is brutality. No need to wait for any holes to be filled.

Theres no excuse for what these officers did. NONE. How can it take 6 men to subdue one person? Are cops really that scared these days? With things like this being put in the open, they damned well better be. "Not all cops are bad". I know this. I guess we'll see how true that statement is when the SHTF. I dont think its too far off.

MOTF!

I'm not sure what more information you would need. He had no weapons on his person, and after they had him down on the ground unable to move..they continued beating him and tasering him..so much so that he died. What more info are you exactly looking for?

I'm not sure what's more disturbing...6 scumbag pigs beating a mentally I'll man to death...or 10 people standing around watching.

Reminds me of the Kitty Genoviese story.

See thats the problem...a huge problem...because it proves, people in society are becoming more and more fearful to stand up for what is right. Yes..they were police officers, and yes..they can arrest you, and the justice system is so messed up right now, that a first time offender might get a huge sentence, while a repeat might only get probation, its uneven in decisions. So, people are scared to death to step in when something like this happens.

Here is more on it, someone has apparently made a website about this whole thing..
www.fullertonsfuture.org...

Be sure to read the whole thing...it appears the photo they put out saying it was Kelly Thomas...was not Kelly Thomas at all....they put out a fake picture (or rather, it is a picture of an actual person, just not the person they are claiming it to be) Kelly had red hair, small nose, and was much much younger.

Did you read the article Kro? Did you see the pictures of this poor guy on his deathbed? Face swollen, bloodied, tubes everywhere keeping him alive?

How many times do you have to tazer a guy before you can put cuffs on him? How many people does it take to hold a guy down and cuff him? How many eyewitnesses saying "he wasn't resisting" do you need before you realize that sometimes police just go %$*#ing nuts???

This incident makes me sick. What makes me even more sick is police apologists. This guy had no weapons, there is absolutely NO EXCUSE to beat him so savagely. This is outright MURDER.

Witness testimony.
www.youtube.com...

www.youtube.com...

I have seen SO MANY instances of cops yelling "STOP RESISTING STOP RESISTING" to a guy laying face down on the ground, completely still, in handcuffs, while they continue to gang rape him. I'm not throwing all cops in this category because I have known some that are legitimately good people.. But with the fraternity like atmosphere and little-man syndrome mentality that is typical of most police officers this will just keep happening until public outrage is so much that the police are forced to change their ways.

The article from the OP and the images therein are so sad.. I really feel for this guy and his family, not to mention the many witnesses who had to see such a thing.

Maybe he went after the cops and was fighting back. The article states that alot still is not known about what happened. You see a picture and are ready to string the cops up. If they are guilty then by all means administer sever punishment but don't condemn then till you have all the facts.

Stovokor, that was my first thought too..

However, when witnessing such a thing I'm sure many of those people feared for themselves. These cops were in fight-mode, someone might have been shot had they attempted to intervene. We can only hope that their testimony and video evidence insures that justice is served to these six animals.

I've also seen guys drugged out take multiple tazer hits and effectively fighting 6 cops at once so what's your point?

You honestly have a problem waiting for all the facts before judging someone? I really hope you never get called for jury duty.

My cousin and her husband are both police officers for the Trenton New Jersey police. She and her husband both stated that police officers are instructed and go through many training scenarios to deal with people who do in fact fight back. She looked at the article and photos and her statement was: "police brutality and abuse, pure and simple, no excuse, this was not what we are taught to do when handling a suspect who fights back or runs."

Look...the thing is, your beating a dead horse. We've been brought up in the "information" age..an age where we have to have every little fact in order to make a decision...which had led us to throw common sense out the window. You have eyes, you can see for yourself..doesn't matter if he did in fact fight back, it was to much.
