Lest anyone else has pointed this out, anyone wondering how a bunch of birds will stop civil unrest? I mean "quail" civil unrest?!

I am truly LOL-ing here.

The thing is, I've come a long way in my personal views and education in this matter. And the point of fact is, fear-mongering sites like intelhub have never -- AND I MEAN NEVER -- been right in its conclusions/predictions. If there was a plan to ... ahem ... quell civil unrest in America, we'd be hearing about it on the MSM a lot longer before.

And I speak from experience. I know what almost everyone on here thinks about the MSM. But coming from that world, I can honestly say there are many hard-working, very keen reporters behind the scenes who would jump at the chance to report that the military is about to stop you, dear people, from protesting.

Or that the illuminati controls all. Or that FEMA wants to kill you to prevent the spread of alien infections. Or that a giant planet is hurdling its way between the Earth and the moon so we can all live Thundarr the Barbarian's life.

And here I thought it was the National Guard that helps during disasters. If a actual military branch i.e Army or Marines are being put into place to control the citizens then we all know it's because of a economic collapse. I read this back in 2008 and part of the order of operation is to kill looters on sight. What better way to do that then with a military who's people joined the forces just for killing. They don't care if it will be on American soil or not, long as they get to kill someone.

I'd like to believe that millions would fight back if they were deployed for unconstitutional reasons, but you and I both know that most of those millions would be too occupied with "American Idol" and "Dancing With The Stars" to bother. The rest would be tiny unorganized groups and score a few minor "victories" before they're crushed and made an example of. I'm not trying to be pessimistic, just realistic.

In any case, I would really hate to see violence break out because it would be a very long, drawn out, bloody battle. I honestly don't think the country could survive it right now, and that's probably exactly why TPTB want it.

so you see that it would not be US troops but a foreign troop on US soil to keep the peace, more NAFTA bs. is this not an act of treason? for would this not be an invasion? Seems to me some one has over stepped their authority and power. and the sad thing, is we let them. I should add, this can go both ways, for would we not be an invading force?

Surely American troops wouldn't take action against their own people???

I know British troops wouldn't.

TBH this "civil unrest" won't be due to a terrorist attack, it will be due to economic meltdown.

Hello ats members and lurkers. First time poster, longtime lurker. This topic finally made me sign up to discuss this topic. Last friday 7-22-11 my wife on the way to work around 5:30 a.m spotted a huge envoy of military vehicles on 99 south between modesto, ca. and hilmar, ca. heading SOUTHBOUND. What she desdescribed (she isn't military vehicle savy) was "lots of cargo vehicles transporting what looked like missles on flat bed vehicles covered by strap over tarps." There were lots of them along with escort military personel. Then on saturday a friend posted on facebook a picture of this: "."

Our friend never heard about what my wife saw, so she wasn't on the "lookout" for military vehicles, purely coincedence. the picture was taken in modesto, ca. the train was going "northbound" towards sacramento, bay area, etc...

When we saw here pic. posted on facebook we put 2&2 together. SOMETHING WAS UP. Then today this topic.
I am not a doomsday,fear monger, gossip rumoring person. This really confirmed in my heart something is happining in the near future that is not for the better. Lots of scenarios like: martial law for unemployment check scare in aug or another false flag terror attack, another natural disaster predicted somewhere: San Francisco quake disaster. Whatever it is for, it's not good. Thanks for dealing with first post, and positive criticism is always welcomed to improve the board.

Anyway a civil war or people vs state would crush the country. So I do not think that will happen at all. USA is to big a player internationally to do something like that.

Considering that they will simply be assisting the National Guard in Emergencies, not really all that strange.

I doubt 20,000 Troops could control a moderate sized city like Anchorage, let alone the whole country.

I keep thinking of Katrina and all the criticism of the Local, State and Fed's not being ready and reacting slowly and badly. Then they take action due to that criticism and now the same people who demanded action, now complain when what they demanded happens. There is where the real story is in this. Do we want them prepared for emergencies or not? I don't think we can have it both ways.

Not exclusively. For example, when the levies broke in New Orleans, the Army Corps of Engineers were utilized. In the wake of a major disaster, I'm sure we wouldn't hesitate to use other branch's resources if they were needed.

Not sure if this is true or not yet, globalsecurity and the DoD really haven't said too much other than the DoD launching a new Cyber Strategy website www.defense.gov... and the repeal of the Don't ask Don't tell thing. There were reports of them training 20000 for possible deployment in 2011 back in December of 2008 by the Washington Post and NBC, that being said so far can't confirm that deployment is under way at all right now. I will let you know if it changes or if I dig up something else.
