I wasn't meanin' to be hatin'. It's difficult sometimes to interpret tone. I just sound like a third grade teacher on here sometimes, nothing personal, just my writing style. These things keep my brain working (at least at minimum levels) so I certainly don't begrudge anyone the discourse. It's appreciated.

That depends on if you read "police" as being a singular entity or if you see it as a group action done by many at once.

Personally, I don't understand why some threads are just removed arbitrarily.

And why people alert mods on issues that are not there, just because they don't like the topic.

This just occurred with a thread called: I am A Government Employee.. I have a story to tell! in the introductions.

First an aggressive attack by a few then it disappeared. And it infuriates me. Its like this small group have all the say, over my liberty to read something, and i don't stand under anyone.

I agree with you - the grammar sounds wrong on the banner. The first thing that crossed my mind is that it should read "The ATS Thought Police have removed this subject."

The reason is that the phrase "The ATS Thought Police" sounds like a description of multiple people, plural. But that's because "Police" is a strange word.

One could say this:
"This is the Police, we have your house surrounded!"

There is a singular group, but a plural verb.

But a reporter witnessing this event might say:
"The Police have surrounded the assailants house."

A plural verb for the exact same "singular" group.

Ergo, my opinion is that the banner should have said "have removed", not "has removed", because the description is a collection of a plural group.
