What would happen if aliens were confirmed to be on the earth across all news stations?

Actually, in the US we do have these so called "parasites of humanity". They are called our 20-something year old children.

They feel like the world owes them something and that we should raise and support them well into their thirties. While it is irritating, I don't want my children killed off for being lazy...

More to the OP, I don't think there would be much more than a few days of "wow, cool". Those of you who are already believers in ET visitation would be all "I told you so", while those of us who doubt or are skeptical of ET visitation would be forced to admit we were wrong. There would likely be some disappointment among the ET faithful when the "visitors" admit that they have no such thing and endless, unlimited free energy, that they have no magical "cure all" for humanities diseases and afflictions, and that their only real "super power" is interstellar travel. Then the "believers" would be further disappointed when they tell us that they did not "create" us and that they have similar beliefs and religions as humans. Granted, some people's religious beliefs would be somewhat shaken, but the majority of humans who have some form of belief in God will not have their beliefs changed in any way whatsoever. My personal belief in God (which is considerably different than most mainstream churches, btw) would not be changed at all.
When the "newness" of this disclosure passes, we will soon look at it as nothing really more significant than discovering a new species of spider in the Amazon or something.

That im not so sure about, species that come from this earth will never be treated the same as species from another planet or galaxy, well not the first discoveries. We as humans are on the top of the food chain so to speak, aliens would change that and I think our ego coupled with the sheer surrealness of aliens walking amung us would diffinatly be a major event in recent human history for good or bad. We would get used to it eventually but I find it hard to believe things would go back to normal interms of feeling like our species own the earth.

False. Has anything paranormal happened to you? if so you/most people would be completely confused as to WHAT just happened and more importantly...why. Now, know by what the world believes in now (except select ATS users), if they were to come on the air and say we are not alone...people would FREAK. i am pissed at the govt from hiding this BUT they kind of had to...granted they dont have to go to the absolute extremes anymore cause thats the next discovery for mankind..evolution, aliens, spirituality...

i have had several experiences that i will not share, and i can tell you that they were as close as out of this world gets..yet not quite. IF anything out of this world came down..needless to say, people would be so confused, angry, scared...all the movies in todays society teach us to FEAR.

sadly to say..disclosure, in out time..will never happen. disclosure lies within. the ones that know the difference between fake and real are supposed to know...if you dont believe in any of it..your not supposed to.

It's an interesting thought.....if it was confirmed, we could take our media back and get some truth out to the people.

Personally, I'd be wondering where's the job that will pay me enough so I could buy stuff, like health insurance, food, clothing and shelter. The excitement of disclosure will be temporary as I continue to let life pass me by...

All I know is that people wouldn't panic that much, a lot less then the governments and msm thinks. Half the world already suspects aliens exist, hell there's a lot more chances they exist then don't exist. 25% are just waiting on confirmation for them to exist and the 25% left are religious nuts...who cares if they panic, they panic for nothing already.

Personally I would say about time, and want to meet them. I would probably ask them a million questions including, can I get a ride in your ship and take a quick trip to go see Saturn? Then once we get up there, Can you turn the gravity off in this thing?

It depends on if they are benevolent or malevolent, but I'm sure we'd be cautious either way. I would imagine that those who are religious would say that they are demons or jinn and would want to start a war with them in the name of their god.

Another thing it would depend on is their appearance. What if they look nothing like what we imagine? What if they look like some type of worm creature? Would everyone be ok with that? If they appear more humanoid I would say we'd be more accepting of them than if they were to look like spider people or something...

I am not sure how the PUBLIC would react, but, as for me, because I already KNOW that aliens exists and UFOs, I would be suspicious because you can't trust the government, after all these people have changed the Roswell story at least 3 times, so, why believe them now, that is why our government fails, who can trust a non-trustful government, certainly not me.

I can only speak for myself, but I do believe I would not be able to concentrate on anything else. For the rest...it would be only a few day's worth of talk, and then back to video games, porn, tv, movies and so on...

I certainly hope that's not how it goes down!

When I was six years of age my mum (a biologist with a firm belief in evolution and at the same time a very spiritual anti-institutionalized-dogma person) took me to the anthropology museum to observe some extinct dinosaurs.
I clearly remember asking two questions. How comes such big and powerful beings went extinct and she answered, that it was trial and error of nature, hence evolution. My next question straight after that was why aliens do not show up openly to all people and she answered me that humankind would probably put them in cages at the zoo.
It was one of the most profound conversations of my childhood which still after more than 30 years resonates with me clearly as it would have happened this morning.

If they announced that aliens were already intermingled with the general population, then I think you would have chaos break out. You would have vigilante groups going door to door to flush out the "aliens". How could you trust them when they have been here on such a secretive basis for such a period of time? That would be the reasoning. It would be Salem all over again, but this time all over the world. Anyone who was a bit "weird" would probably be a target for the mobs.

The point of abductions has been to reach the majic number of 10% of the p[opulation being abducted,then like a snowball rolling downhill everyone will slowly GET IT.

Even though I have some experience,noone asked me before I was abducted and I was to young to vote so my government had no jurisdiction to enter into any agreement on my behalf,so wake up people.
