god help us all right...

Please listen to AshOnMyTomatoes. C/2010 X1 Elenin is a normal comet, moving in a normal, highly elliptical solar orbit. It is not a brown dwarf. It is not a star. It is a comet. How many times do I need to say this before you understand that I actually know what I am talking about? The guy who made that video at the start of this thread is talking CRAP. There haven't been any magical alignments between Earth, Sun, and Elenin that can be associated with major earthquakes. The slight changes in orbital characteristics over time are due to updated calculations (more observations spread over an increased arc result in more accuracy).

It's also worth noting that "perigee" and "perihelion" are frequently mixed up by Elenin conspiracy buffs. For the record....

Perigee = closest approach to EARTH
Perihelion = closest approach to SUN

But oh hey! I found this vid today. I didn't realize that "Comet Elenin" or "Ellie" was also known as a "brown dwarf" by some.

Isn't that interesting? Don't want to scare-monger at all but if the following vid has any truth to it, people in N.E. America might be in serious danger very soon.
