TSA in schools? Who is running this school? This sounds illegal. I think some lawyer is going to have a field day with this one.

If you have a HS student that has to be searched by Anyone (i'm guessing for weapons) before attending a school event I'm thinking either you or your neighbor are tremendous failures as parents.

My guess is you've had many teens show up to these events armed with guns or knifes, to the point where someone had to speak up and take steps. How sad is that.

There comes a time when you have to say "enough is enough", sell the house and move to a neighborhood where children do not live in A Clockwork Orange world of ultra-violence and madness.

You reap what you sow.

Simple solution, let a male and female LOCAL police officer who have children attending the school do security and patdowns. At least then it won't be someone anonymous doing it. There is likely to be more diligence and less creep factor.

Why is it even necesary to security search children going to a school dance? Has society in the US really broken down to the point that your youngsters are not even trusted at a school party?

RCMP used to be at our H.S dances to spray stuff on our hands and if it turned blue it mean you had THC of your hands and were smoking marijuana lol

wow

So what were the consequences ( if any ) when your hands were turning blue?

wow this sure brings me back to my high school years, i remember when alot of high school girls and even guys were looking into porn while the teacher wasn't even looking

And what was wrong with that? it seems to me that elites are also afraid of seeing real porn and erotica art, that isnt very human behavior if you ask me.

Are metal detectors not full proof enough, as some schools have them? Teachers not trusting enough to what they observe? They should form protest against and get people to not go.

Wait a minute- they were complaining because they were "groped" by a school agent so the solution is to send in a TSA agent?
How do they think it's going to be any different??

This is like assigning a fox to protect the henhouse....

I heard of a facial scanning system that scans people faces to tell if they're terrorists. I thought WTF, you can't tell that by looking at someone's face, just because they're not happy or with a smile on their face it means they are a terrorist...

I can understand this. If my kid is gonna get groped, I wouldn't feel right if it was just any shmoe off the street... But, a "TSA Certified" grope is something to be proud of because you're contributing to the moral of our federal employees, nothing could be more patriotic... *tear* We all gotta make sacrifices. Some of us sacrifice in different ways. I pay taxes out of my paycheck... But my hypothetical daughter is too busy with studies to have much of a job... What to do? Well, she has those nice firm virgin breasts and thighs... Surely that supple body could be put to Some use.... Never fear, TSA is here!

That school and community are doing something wrong if their children are such a threat to each other. This whole argument about who should conduct security is ignoring the ELEPHANT in the room.

If you are so concerned about your students taking weapons into the Prom, wouldn't it just be better to CANCEL the Prom?

This is comedy gold. You can not make up something as funny as this. Let me see if I have this right....

2 Girls file a suit because they believed they were groped by a school security agent and in response to that, you will have an official from the most notorious groping organizations around oversee the security to make sure these kids are not being groped by security. Really??

TSA = Touch Some Arse

They stepped up, if these small time security firms are going to start touching people, best step in and make sure they get touched properly.

You would think that but most people would be shocked to learn that the Department of Labor really oversees the public school system. Look it up! It has to do with "outcome based learning" which is the standard model for public schools where the outcome is dumbed down, obedient worker bee slaves for the government and private sector.

Nice to see our schools teaching more than just the 'three Rs'. Now, on top of that they are teaching the kids to bow down before the uniforms and submit to searches.

/Sarcasm.

Transport Safety at a school dance...
Best dance in one spot.

Solution - hire a hall and move the prom their, with no TSA. Or maybe they can change the name from TSA to T&A.

Sadly enough my experience with the younger generation in NM is full of wanna be gangsters shooting and stabbing each other all the time. I too wonder what the problem is but then again I kinda know there are a lot of younger parents that are members of the same such organizations as well. It's the F&%^in wild west in NM. But come on guys TSA or even State Police that's uncalled for. All it takes is a metal detector at the door and a no re-entry policy and it's done...that's how it was at some of the more ghetto schools I attended.

Better parenting would help more for sure!

Relax folks. There weren't going to bring in just anybody.

They have a crack team for this stuff. Trained at the Neverland Ranch in the 80s....

I'm a security officer. (NO. I'm not TSA). I can understand on some level patting someone down for weapons or drugs on their person on their way into somewhere as simple a school prom. (I'm pretty sure they were also searching for alcohol). But what does the TSA have to do with being involved in it. Just use a regular private security firm in my opinion.
