Well TPTB have probably already decided who they will be putting into office, so does it really matter? This guy is a tool to the corportocracy, just like the guy before him and the guy before him, and the guy before him....etc. The only hope we have is not falling into their idiotic tribalistic two-party (rigged) system. Either stay home and don't participate in this farce, or vote for someone who isn't a democratic or republican tool. i.e. 3rd party/independent...of course they want you to think that voting 3rd party will be like "throwing your vote away", if forces you to toe to the two party line...but ask yourself this, why are there so many independents and disaffected former democrats and republicans, if all these people said "f#k it" I'm not voting D or R any more, and cast their ballot for an independent/3rd party, then we'd actually have something. The country is probably either going to decline and fade away into the background of history like most empires, or there will be an outright revolt...either way, we are not lasting too much longer under the weight of these criminal central banker m-fers.

I think Obama is in for a shock because not nearly as many people are asleep as he would like to think. Even some of my friends who voted for him and got swept up in the fever are pissed that he reneged on his promises. He is going to be crushed in the debates regarding Afghanistan, Iraq and now Libya. I simply fear that come 2012, we will get more of the same with a republican face again....

sounds like the jedi mind trick tactic to me, politicians do it all the time, they like to give the impression people are for something regardless of the actual figures.

so sounds like obama is saying this to convince the rest that he does 'deserve' a second term. because he is telling them he does. i deserve a second term = vote for me because i deserve it. how many of them would actually be in full knowledge of the facts? we know most people are not informed about politics, so they can be easily swayed by using such talk.

people want obama to have a second term (not a lie), obama deserves it (of course he does in some peoples minds, unfortuantly not the majority).

it's a suggestion he is making, i deserve a second term (jedi mind trick), like if i hold two objects out in front of me and ask you to pick one, if i hold one ferther towards you and the other ferther away i am making a subtle suggestion. which one will people pick most of the time?

there was another thread about a u.k. politician saying that 'most' people 'want' to work untill the age of 70, it is suggestive, makes me think maybe i am wrong to be in opposition to it, and it give the impression that most people want it even though they don't.

As funny as this......it isn't for one reason. Just based upon the idiocy shown here by some people still blindly following and applauding everything he does, racism on behalf of blacks, the race card and misplaced white guilt, he may just have a chance.....not to mention the voting machines and the DOJ.

Remember all the people crying when Obama got elected. Well now all of their homes went into foreclosure and they are still crying, but for different reasons. Obama has taught us that only the middle class are criminals. Not the people that actually destabilize an entire countries' economy. Yay Obama.....

Hmm, makes me wonder if there wasn't some point to Janet Napolitano's statement of "I don't think voting should be as important as it is" .

Not take Barry's comment, and you wonder f they are telling us what to expect in 18 months.

The madness needs to be ended, preferably sooner then later.

I can see his view. I haven't seen anyone put their hat in the ring that isn't batsh!t crazy themselves. In a sea of losers the encumbent has the advantage of at least being a known risk.

What i find bizzar is that not one of the posts are in favor of...but after the votes are counted he will pass.
Why is it always 50 50 at the poles. but when we talk it's always 90 10.
Maybe that way when they decide on something we have to conclude that it's the choice of the other 50%.
Devide and conquer.

Edit: We maybe should have a pre-election pole on ats to see the real # of %

EVERYTHING should be decided by the majority of the commong vote of the people if we want t government that is working for us and not corporations. I never understood the electoral vote. It's just all to easy corrupted. We have the technology in place to make sure everyone gets a vote. That may not have been possible when our forefathers (slave masters) first came to this country, but that is no reason to stay in the stone as far as our political progression goes. What we have is a lame, blind, and deaf dog that has to be taken out of its misery before it gives us all rabies!

the problem is that the majority of common people, don't understand politics. The fact that i can go and vote for important things that i have no knowledge of, in fact even the politiciens don't even have a clue how things are run, thats why people go to school for years to learn one field only. why should i put my trust in some clown saying he will be the one.... I think some things are better left to people who know what they are talking about.

The common people could maybe form groups of interested and knowledgable members of the community, and let them place a vote, for the best.

If you seriously believe these things...you've been watching too much tee-vee and 24-hour news channel lies. Honestly, there's plenty of things to criticize Obama about, like trashing our civil liberties, wars of aggression, pandering to central banking cabal, etc. etc. ...but you choose to play the "socialism" line? Seriously dood. This is ATS, deny some ignorance for a change. You do know that the health care plan enacted was originally a Republican plan (created as a government handout to the insurance industry to force us to all buy their product) back the 90's as a response to the Democratic/Clinton plan during the health-care debate that took place then. And Obama extended the Bush tax cuts, so how exactly does that mean "raising" taxes. Unless this is opposite day or something. But seriously, in literally every post I've seen you make it's always the same "OMG SOCIALISMZZZ!!! HITLER!!!! OMG!!!". Fear-monger much? Considering you don't even know what socialism actually is....and repeating something over and over doesn't make it true.

By the way...how's that left v. right, lib v. con, political tribalism working out for ya?
