Just bc there is no proof something ever existed does not mean it never did.

That's exactly what it means, civilisations do not rise in a vacuum..

If you do not believe in the works of Edgar Cayce, then its either/or.

When I was a teenager, I believed him implicitly. Then when I got into college, someone suggested I check ALL of his predictions.

I do, I know its possible for there to be things that go on that I cannot see or hear. His years of reading this continent are proof enough for me.

The Cayce foundation has done a very good job of monkeying with the web search results. You'd think Cayce was 100% accurate... unless you happened to read the books put out in the 1960's with a lot of material that has been edited out because it was wrong.

...and let's not forget that he predicted the US would invent the "death ray" in the year 1958 (after his death, of course... which wasn't due to death rays)

Just bc there is no proof something ever existed does not mean it never did. However, without the relics and "made in Atlantis" markings, there is still enough proof.

Have you checked out the material in the Atlantis research section on this part of the board?

Wasn't there a scientific study recently, that proved that people who "believe" without evidence, are gullible, easy to fool and genetically predispositioned to be religious fanatics

I doubt it, people who believe are usually more fun

Then logically their should be some sort of evidence in Iceland , that predates the Viking arrival. Mainly because it would have been a good fishing area, and wood gathering place as their were trees their originally.

They also showed that those who cant make mental leaps of imagination are incapable of inventing/discovering anything. They can learn and memorise what others have discovered but that's about it.

I still think the Altiplano (as the city of Atlantis) in Brazil seems to be the best fit. (while South America is the best fit for the "continent" of Atlantis).

It meets all of Plato's descriptive details.
(and there's some evidence to show that the ancient Egyptians and ancient people of South America, may have had some trade).

Except the most important. Atlantis sank into the sea.

Apparently their are some pre Viking remains in Iceland but no real archaeological excavations have been done, except a date on some burnt peat, which predates Viking occupation.
Doggerland went down and cut Britain off from Europe , when one of the lakes in North America burst into the Atlantic, so if their was land above sea in that area it most likely went down at the same time.

That has nothing to do with Atlantis, which predates the Maya by 9,000 years.

You have no idea if it does or not, neither do I, but it most definitely could.

The CITY yes, not the continent. Going that route, certainly fits, as the city location did sink.

And more importantly, prior to that invaded the Mediterranean, defeated Egypt but was in turn beaten by the Athenians.

The elephant in the room that few theories even acknowledge let alone can explain.
