If we were to legalize prostitution we would have a huge rise in disease. More then we already have today. Then it would provoke young adults to just sell themselves especially in this economy...Basically the world would turn into a huge disease infested orgy! Gross.

Who's to say that just because something's been legalized that EVERYONE'S gonna go out and do it? Yes, I'm single and don't get laid very often, but I don't go out to strip clubs on a nightly basis just to get my rocks off, and those are perfectly legal.

Same thing with drugs. Even if they were legalized, I'm not going to jump at the first opportunity to go out and shoot up.

The key isn't in preventing people from doing something... because, regardless, if they want to do it, they will. The key comes with EDUCATING people. When I was brought up, I was educated... not prevented from doing things. Once I was educated, I was able to prevent myself from doing stupid things, which, if you ask me, is far more effective than ANY law that you can come up with.

poor Clinton, had to explain in front of stupid other machos, that his cigar was a real good one for some other girl ... Jesus, what a stupid society up there ... what the f. do you have to interfere into Clinton's life ?
what the ... do you have to judge him/her ??
jealous or what ??....
let the people do what they like, get out of their private life, poor stupid tea party dolly puppets !!

Legalize prostitution, legalize drugs and get out of our personnal life !!!
I do not like drugs, I do not like prostitution but I know for sure there would be less criminality when legalized !!
for christ, let the people smoke what they want, let them be get stoned or drunk, control the situation ok but do not interfere, we are free to do what we want as long as we do not hurt other people ok ???

Of course I do NOT speak here about children and the responsability of their parents, but that is another problem : EDUCATION ... good education, good parents, just LOVE !

1)Who decides what the right thing is? You? Me? Your god? You keep talking about steering them to make the right decision, but what if prostitution IS the right decision for them?

2)That is your CHOICE. But you have no right to force anyone either way.

3)So you are against prostitution, but pro-physical and verbal child abuse. That is a VERY interesting dichotomy.

4)I'm not biting on the political bait there. Its isnt about liberals or conservatives. Nice try though.

1) Then you need to experience your instincts by having your loved one be sexually molested and abused in front of you for money. See if your instincts doesnt kick in.

2) I disagree.

3)The big words pro-physical and verbal child abuse only exists in the dictionary of parents who are looking for excuses and are blinded by the studies of psychologists. What matters is the end result and success ratio of marriage and studies in a child under stricter house rules.

4)Not a bait once again. Why does everything is political all the time? I'm sure everyone is protective about something does not make them conservative and somethings the people are open about does not make them liberals.

It already is legal in a sense. Go to any bar or nightclub and you will find plenty of chicks that, after you buy them 5 or 6 $10 cocktails, will go home with you and engage in wild monkey sex.

Agree.

Same goes for dating where individual spends money on dates such as gifts or dinners or clubs before getting laid.

1) Again with the emotional and personal based arguments. No one is talking about advocating molestation and abuse. You are one of the single worst sensationalists I have ever seen on this board. Really very pathetic.

2)So you believe you have a right to force you beliefs onto others?

3)So, again, you admit that you advocate physical and verbal abuse. Fair enough.

4)You are the one who brought up the term liberal, which is a political term. So ill throw your question right back at you: Why does it have to go political? I certainly wasnt the one who took it there.

Yes....it should....but so should marijuana...not wearing my seatbelt....and killing myself....but none of these things are legal either....its not your body anymore and you can't do what you want with it....you just figuring this out?

nice argument, however you forgot that males can be prostitutes as well, it's his body as much as it is her body. But hey, prostitution doesn't exist right, because it's illegal? Problem solved (wipes hands)

I agree.

I can just imagine the new generation of men not wanting to marry since prostitution is legal so why bother going through the nagging wife and the hardship of raising a family (which is the real test and challenge). Instead after work, go through the legal drive by brothel and swipe a card in the slot machine and drop your pants while something from the drive thrugh window will dive in through the window and satisfy the urges
Or for few more swipes, park the car and indulge yourself to a sexual intercourse as part of the deluxe package services offered by the legalized brothel premier member club

Its like with women the same way after introducing the Sperm Bank that many do not wish to marry but will seek the help of a sperm bank to produce a child and raise it without a father figure in the house (not sure what the side affects of that baby boom generation would be).

Nobody wants anybody for truely who they are but only for the sexual aspect of the human being.

There is no legal or moral reason prostitution cant be legal.

So why not campaign to to allow a woman to be able to sell her body how she deems fit?
Its her body and she legally via the abortion bill to do what ever she wants to it.
And selling her body for sex as a viable source of income should be allowed period!!!

It's already legal in most states...it's called marriage.......

That is just patently offensive. Sorry you feel that way; you must have had some unfortunate experience along the way.

The only way to justify busting the skankier streetwalking crackhead-type "hos," at least among a minimally civilized people, is for prostituion to be otherwise legalized, where one can either go to a brothel or phone an "escort" for a home visit.

Would one rather their significant other be unfaithful with a prostitute or with someone who could destroy their relationship? Sadly, and entirely psychotically, probably most people today would choose the latter.

It's simple and anyone with any sense of respect and dignity knows it; for every whore you have sex with, you are having sex with every person he or she has had sex with....that is repulsive. To pay for that is even more repulsive.

Well technically it is true; with prostitution we pay women directly for sex, with a marriage or relationship, we pay women indirectly for sex

Good lord! What's with all of the assumptions on this thread?

Can you please point me to the evidence proving that drive-thru whore-houses are on the way and that no male is going to ever want to marry again should prostitution ever be made legal?

I'm interested to see why you're so convinced that this is indeed going to happen...

I think it should be legal just because a girl should be able to do what she wants with her body.

2nd line.

Morals do dictate that prostitution is wrong, however I agree with you. For starters, isn't porn movies basically prostitution? Only different thing is that it happens in front of a camera. So, I'm guessing you can go get a prostitute, set up a video camera in the hotel room and have at it. If the cops say anything, "Oh but it's an amateur porno movie!".

The laws set up as they are today are ridiculous. If you want to bang a prostitute, make sure you're videoing it or else you end up in jail.

In your opinion it is repulsive.

Statistic from areas where it is legal absolutely disagree with your statement. And I understand that some are scared of sex-that some think its gross or repulsive or icky.

Why should the rest of us have to live one way because of your shortcomings?

Also, do you understand what regulation is? We arent talking about legalizing street walkers here.
