Ok. I know my BIOS is corrupted. On the startup I get a black screen. No post, no BIOS, nothing.

My graphics card fan wont stop spinning. It's an Award BIOS. I already know I have to fix it with a Usb Floppy drive and a floppy. But I don't have those. Is there any other way besides that and physically replacing the BIOS chip?

Did you try pulling all power including the motherboard battery. Then tap the power button to purge the power, this might reset the bios? Were you trying to overclock?

I am no expert on computers I would like to ask you if you could help out on a small problem of mine.
About a year ago I installed windows 7 on my hp compaq nx7400. This is running fine. Ever since then though, I cant get to access my on board bluetooth device. It doesnt even see one. I tried downloading software from hp but everytime it starts to install it stops asking me to either plug in my bluetooth device or turn on my onboard device.
It just doesnt see that it exists.
Up until I had xp, the bluetooth worked fine.
Thank you for any help that you can give me in advace.

That would be:

1x ctrl-alt-del causes computer to restart = windows did not load
2x ctrl-alt-del causes computer to restart = windows loaded into the GUI

Go to My computer's Properties,
go into device manager, (look to see if there are any yellow "!" your device or other devices that are not working will be there)
Also look for your device, (if no "!")
click on your device,
click on the driver tab, (Click Update Driver)

Hi, amateur google enthusiast and highly ineffective armchair computer engineer here.
This thread on another website refers to your exact situation - apparently your module is a broadcom BCM92045NMD.

Basically it says you need HP Wireless Assistant - it's a small 3MB file and apparently windows will then recognise your BT module and automatic look for the drivers.

Hope that helps.

Edit - it's the 2nd solution in that thread.

I got a toshiba laptop with windows vista service pack 2.
I have run several free software virus, registry scans the whole gambit.
Got rid of some suspicious programs and browser add ons.
Btw,this is my neighbors laptop.
After a few minutes of running,it basically locks up.
It was just locking up and going to a black screen.
But now just locking up to where I have to pull the battery.
I feel there is something still running on one of the user accounts, but can not locate it.

Any suggestions?

Put your Windows installation disk in, and restart. It will ask you Something like Repair, Reformat...... Click Repair.

If it works This will scan everything and reinstall or fix any damaged or missing files.

Here are the problems I am having on my computer...
1.I have not been able to watch Slayer's hangout for
quite awhile.
My computer will show his avatar and the indian figure
next to it.I can also see the youtube videos he has on
the side.Everything else, including the music, is a blank.
The background does show and I have learned to click
my curser onto certain rock formations to change the music.
2.I can no longer read any PDF on my computer.I have tried
getting new pdf readers,updating...NOTHING
Could these two issues be related?
I will appreciate any help you can provide

You could maybe try Revo uninstaller (the free version) to uninstall all of those apps you are using for reading pdf's and then pick one and re install (Foxit or the adobe reader maybe) - this could undo any file association conflicts that have arisen,

Also what is Slayers hangout?

Ahh the member Slayer... right - what internet browser are you using? - Maybe uninstall that and re install?

edit - or simply go for another browser that you have not tried yet, some big names are Opera, Firefox and Chrome - everyone has their opinion on which one is better, but out of those names you pretty much can't miss.

Wow can't find any information on those. Go with something known, maybe IBM Think pad.

Try www.newegg.com read reviews and ask more questions here.

Thank you for your input Tygart,
I will look into that, and I will allso try to find something on it (MEDION) and give you a link so maybe you can dig more info on it.
They are supposed to be cheeper on the cost but not in quality.
Its a German brand.

Ok I found a link for the UK. Maybe you can understand more about them and get a better picture of them.

www.medion.com...
