Light Auras in Buffalo, NY 3/23/2011

Hello. I lived in Buffalo, NY all my life and I've never seen this happen. Well, for the past week or so the weather has been pretty clear. Then all of sudden last night we got around 5 inches of snow.

Right now I can see the sky and it's pinkish, and there's a streaks of white across the sky, it looks like the Sun is still out sort of. I've never seen this before. Looks pretty cool! Wish I could take some pics...

well i just wanted to post this because... never seen this before... idk. maybe someone out there is researching something and wants to know.

well, here in Buffalo, NY -- Western New York are visible Auras on 3/23/2011 at 9 PM.

Don't the northern lights dance across the sky?

Is the whole sky pinkish and is the white streaks, what pattern are they?

I have only seen them in videos, never in person mind you. Your probably witnessing a beautiful sunset. Enjoy!

That's what it "should" look like, if it's not moving it's probably something else, are you sure the white strips aren't clouds ?
