There is a difference between propaganda and reporting actual incidents.

A majority of American soldiers are respectable towards the Muslim women in Iraq and Afghanistan but like every organisation, there are always going to be a small number of rotten apples among the flock.

Personally, it is of my opinion the USA has no right to invade another country exception to the Govt of that nation that requests it.

If a soldier commits these henous crimes then he should prepare to be confronted by a firing squad.

It's like another member says, alot of these women don't come forward for fear of retribution by her family and American soldiers ARE taking advantage of it.

I hate to admit this but American soldiers are probably the worst desciplined of all Western nations.

I was merely referring to the agency that was reporting the news. They are well known for putting out propaganda and are not a trustworthy source of news. I do agree that if anyone was rapeing anyone US soldier or not they need to be dealt with.

The source is questionable but even if it did happen, not surprising. The US troops have earned a rep.

And that was a quick jaunt to google search engine. Im sure there are tons more that could be listed and probably newer too.

My reason for this is to get you USA haters to understand that other countries are just as bad if not worse in the past and the present. What has happened to these people is terrible and everyone involved should pay for their crimes in some way shape or form.

As for the Iranian reporter writing in English, y'all assume that makes his/her article 'propaganda'. Did it occur to you that the article was in English for your convenience? It's well-known that Americans are the least likely people in the world to learn any language other than their own, and if any non-English speaking news outlet wants to be read by anyone outside their own country or Europe, they write in English.
There's a reason why stories from the Middle East (other than Israel of course!) generally come through Le Monde or Der Spiegel.
Europeans at least realise that there is a rest of the world! Europeans at least realise that there is a rest of the world!

I really havent seen anyone here say that the story is false because its not an American Source.
I believe that most people questioned the source because of its known ties to propaganda, and the fact that it is the state news outlet of Iran.

There are plenty of sources in the American media bubble that would fall into the same category.
And what exactly does Israel have to do with this at all? Was that some sort of off-topic job at Israel and Judaism?

My point about Israel was simply that news from Israel always gets through the American gatekeepers to you, and to us here.
From other middle eastern countries, not so much...

This really get's up my goat when another culture claims white man or Caucasians has no culture and morals. Please explain to me exactly what culture is??????????? I'm expecting you to answer this. A majority of Caucasians have morals and ethics, in fact, Caucasians are probably the most tolerant and charitable people on earth!!! Is that why you are hailing from NYC?

I never claimed women have never committed rape but hey the statistics speaks for themselves if you want to compare the % of women to the % of men who commits these henous crimes......go ahead.

Now the original thread......are the Iraqi and Afghani women at fault when they are raped by US soldiers or is it that the American forces are simply put - not a well desciplined mob unlike the Australian & New Zealand military who ARE not only better trained and the most desciplined military in the western world. And I certainly don't hear of the IDF running around raping Palestinian women either!

Not wrong...not at all.

Someone a few pages back (maybe it was you, i dont know) made the odd assertion that women NEVER raped.

This is of course a patently false statement.

NIJ, DOJ and FBI statistics indicate the opposite...women rape and commit sexual crimes in significant numbers, and the rather robust study I have linked to at least twice clearly describes the phenomenon.
