I think they all just got old
with dio gone and Ozzy walking dead. it it sad.
but im hard headed so go figure write. but I can write really any kind of lyric
I just put my self there and off I go !

Wow, posting lyrics on a forum. If you want to keep them, I hope you hold a Copyright, otherwise, the good ones might end up on some bands CD someday, with no credit to the real author(s)....(that means no $ royalties). Yeah, people DO do that ya know.

Creativeness....man, all the licks have been played. There is nothing wrong with sticking with a tried and true musical form for a particular genera.

Creativity can come in the nuances, the subtleties and tuneings.

Even someones worse lyrics can be transformed in to something marketable.

Well, from reading your first post, that's not a song, it's just the lyrics, which makes it more of a poem. Couldn't you post a link to a recording of it?

By the way, if you read the lyrics of most popular songs, without hearing the music, most of them just come off like baby talk gibberish, hardly saying anything of substance at all. Good lyrics are more than one dimensional - they alliterate to something other than they are literally saying. Usually the first line pulls you in - and leads you to the Chorus. Many times the last line puts a twist on things which either (in good writing) ties up the story line, or puts a twist on things, making the Chorus surprise you with taking on a new meaning.

I like the way your words (I guess...) use symbolism to make the dragon represent alcohol.

I just get a thought and go and go with it.
