Whats the best place for registering lyrics that u write, preferably as cheap as poss?
i have some rap and hip hop that ive been writing, will post some up after i have them in proper song format ( its just pages of lyrics atm without real song structure)

I know its simple but it is based on the ancient Assyrian system of rhyme designed by George Washington during the Battle of the Bulge in 1968.

In all seriousness(I'm just goofing) I think your words are beautiful. I think one day we will all be song writers and we will let the children sing.

i do. this is a metal/experimental/rock band i was in for 6 years.
fire in the eyes of the city- our children could save us

i'm on drums. the band's on hiatus, but im currently in an alt rock startup project along w some of the members in the vein of third eye blind/jimmy eat world/ death cab. id show some of that but it's in the early phases and is also not yet copyrighted.

if by that you mean they're lyrics that are actually about something as opposed to trying to sound dark and gloomy. i guess we could have always thrown together some kesha-esque lyrics and just repeated them, but oh well.

Regarding copyright.
above every post is a time and date stamp.
Is this not a poor mans copyright?
could It not be used to, say if some one tried
to claim this as their own ? If they run out to
claim, would not their date be after the above
time and date stamp?(even if only mins.)
hence sorry charlie? the feds certainly
could find out who BrainGarden was rather quickly if I
posted something out of their Tolerance zone!

Here are three songs I wrote. I can't sing but the words to the songs are good. LOL One is to the President called We The People, one is called Child Molester Walks Free written 20 years ago about my son's molester, and One Little Boy written about my childhood without a father.

As far as copyright goes, I did mine in DC at the Library Of Congress, but I think you'd be safe if when you put a song on here, to put .......C-2010 Kennylee for example at the end of the song....

Also, here is a good forum site to talk about your songs and to get a lot of feedback on them.

I am not sure if this counts as writing a song, but it was fun to do.

I wrote the lyrics to this song for a contest and placed 3rd of 50.

"lulu .com" will copyright you work" AS POETRY",but you have to join a poetry contest
and jump thrugh a few hoops but its painless and free.
and your songs/lyrics will be copyrighted in your name.
