No one is denying this reality certainly not me anyway.


I'm offering up a solution to this problem by reducing the power of government that these predatory institutions co-opt, and simplifying the tax code so everyone knows what they must pay.

Maybe you could clarify better.

Who should pay back the 12 trillion dollar federal debt built up under repub admins claiming they were freeing our markets?

Who should pay for the huge military machine supporting business interests abroad?
Do you think they are going to shut that down?

Who should pay for medicaid where basically all the money goes to subsidize illegal immigration?
Get rid if it as far as I am concerned.

Get rid of all of the mandatory insurance laws as well.

The U.S. government should get back to its business, protecting our borders and looking out for the general welfare. That would end illegal immigration and there by boost jobs and wages. Regulating Interstate commerce, conducting treaties that serve the interests of the people of the U.S. rather than giant U.S. corporations. Start enforcing laws against fraud, false advertising, reinstate usury laws, and all that important stuff.

You can't make laws that affect something that was legal before and force penalties. "No ex-post-facto law" shall be created. But YOU CAN make sure the robbery doesn't happen again. And you do that by tying the hands of the facilitators of the robbery, the US Federal Government.

Of course YOU still insinuate that I have to pay a percentage of my LABOR to the government and still not say that you are a communist. EVEN though you stated previously that you are a COMMUNIST earlier.

From someone who has been doing taxes for 5 years I must say that in rich peoples deffense, if someone makes a million dollars, they are taxed about 30% is the highest they can be taxed while the average joe is taxed 15% so, 30% of 1,000,000$ is 300,000 $ so that means that person only really gets 700,000$....I couldnt imagine being taxed 300,000 $ Ok so if you make 3,000,000 $ they will tax you about 900,000$ !!! Yes you will still have 2.1 million but thats alot of money to take from them.

But in my defense as an average joe barely scrapping by and growing up in a single parent home and having struggled most my life. If I was to ever become a multi millionaire, I would have no problem being taxed more to help my country and the struggling families. I wouldnt mind donating huge amounts to the red cross, and different homeless shelters and food drives and christmas toy drives. Growing up I went a couple of years recieving gifts from outside sources... Grant it my brother and I only recieved two gifts each on those years, but atleast as small children we didnt have to wake up thinking that santa forgot us, or that we were bad children and thats why we didnt get anything. People need to stop and realize that its not about the money, its about the children. Coming from a mother, I believe that children should be valued, and not dismissed. Maybe if we valued our children more they wouldnt grow up to be hoodlums. My mom didnt have alot of money raising me and my brother but she valued us, loved us, nutured us, gave us attention and we grew up knowing right from wrong and neither one of us has ever been arrested. I do not believe ALL millionaires are greedy, but we must stop and realize that there are quite a few BILLIONAIRES that live in this country who have more then enough money for them and their children and their childrens children. THOSE people need to give back more, because with out the consumer they wouldnt be where they are at!

I like you! You should run for president!! I am so sick of calling customer service lines for different businesses and hearing some middle eastern/india person on the other line. If its an AMERCIAN company they should havet their CALL CENTERS IN AMERICA!! THAT WOULD create more jobs!! Freakin penny pincher corporations!! How are we suppose to buy their products when we dont have jobs to create the funds to buy their stuff!!! Stupid CFO's!!

It disheartens me to see people (baahhh) in this thread actually ARGUING in FAVOR of taxes... even VOLUNTEERING to pay MORE! Give to a charity instead.

The IRS and the INCOME TAX are a sham. The only fair income tax is NO TAX.

Spare me the sophmoric "It's your patriotic duty." or "How would we pay for our roads, schools, military, etc?"

The IRS is a collection arm of the FEDERAL RESERVE (THE FED) which prints and LOANS money to the U.S. on INTEREST. This means from dollar one printed we are in debt. This is 3rd grade math.

FYI, THE FED is NOT a government agency. It is no more federal than Federal Express. It is a PRIVATE CORPORATION printing and loaning the U.S. taxpayers "money" for profit.

Roads are paid for by gasoline taxes. Property taxes pay for schools. Corporate taxes pay for military.

END THE FED.

The fair tax is a sham. NO FEDERAL INCOME TAX! Don't be suckered or waste time trading one immoral (and unconstitutional) tax for another.

END THE FED... END THE IRS. Keep 100% of your money and give to charity and help those so-called "poor" or those earning less if you want. I DO!

End the Fed Res, reinstate the Treasury, and treasury notes. Let the Fed Res continue on its own as a International currency, and they can take all the debt they have created with them.

End income tax, and subsidies to special interests.

You forgot to add ending all entitlement programs as well.

I figured that would fall under special interests.

Medicaid is the biggest special interest entitlement program that is nothing less than a special subsidy for illegal immigrants.

Why is medical insurance so high? Medicaid. If you can sell an accent, and dress to look illegal, you get free medical care at hospitals, which we subsidize not only through taxes, but high insurance rates.

Edit to add - but if you think that big corporations and the super rich would go for this, you are out of your mind. ICs and the super rich are living fat and high on the hog off of the government trough, and it would take a major revolt to get such tax reforms.

Families bring in decent income are completely screwed by the current tax system, forced to subsidize illegal immigration and corporations, getting little to nothing for the huge amount of money they pay in taxes. Of course there is also the tax dollars drained primarily from blue states to red states through pork barrel projects.

yes the ever increasing cost of business, god forbid ceos and upper management lower their lifestyles. to hell with the little guy pass the buck to him.

the ceos, upper management and banks would rather layoff american workers and ship jobs to india and china than take a paycut, dont you get it! they have 99% of the pie and they dont want to share any more w the people that helped baked it! they would rather give the 1% of the pie to the workers in china and india in order to hold on to the profits!!!!!!!!

where in your margin theory does it explain why ceos and upper managements salaries have gone up threefold in the last 30 yrs while the rest of americas wages have remained stagnant? hmmm the costs of business is going up, the cost of oil is going up and americans want a living wage? i have an idea lets move the companies over seas where we can legally pay people slave wages oh and guess what we can triple our own salaries, who cares if america is unemployed!!! im not for more taxes for the rich but i am for them paying their fair share! why is it that william buffet himself said his secretary paid a higher percentage of her salary in taxes than him? if these greedy corporations had their way we would all be working for $1 an hour.

just to clear the record i am not for stealing from the rich to give to the poor. i'm for the rich to stop weaseling its way out of paying its fair share of taxes through loopholes and against them spitting in the face of the american worker by taking its businesses overseas.

Here's a politically incorrect FACT that you need to grasp. Businesses number one priority is keeping the doors open and maintaining a margin wide enough for the business to continue to be profitable, not keeping an American or any other workforce. YOU need to know what it's like to run a business and then maybe you'll get it. There are many disparities in the system, but few as pervasive and unfair as our current tax code. if you want everyone paying their fair share you have to simplify it. If you don't have tens of thousands of pages written in legalese for the teams of lawyers to exploit, simplify the tax code. Lawyers all over the country would have to find new jobs the next day.
