It's logistically stupid.

It is not, if the missile was launched by the US. They wait to give an explanation so everybody are aware, come out and say it was from another country. Then, with all the military in place, declare war.

This is what i'm thinking since the beginning.

I do have the software... but in this case I only have a screen capture from that chopped video to work with... so no... I cannot pull out either a plane or a missile. Even in the other images I posted, though they are higer rres, they still don't produce an object..

FAA would know where everything in the air was including the cameramans helicopter.
His vid shows another IMO large chopper between him and the trail.
We know what time the film was taken and the FAA (based on what I have just stated) could easily work out the rest, headings and everything....
The FAA certainly could work out if it was a commercial flight...
Funny though that this one plane on a busy flightpath was the only one with huge contrails in perfect conditions..

Not so easily, how do they work out the distance to the object? If they had two different videos from two different angles, they could triangulate the object in the video, but with one video it's just guesswork:

So if you think you can give them a precise location, then do so and they'll tell you which plane it is, I don't think you can, and I understand why the FAA says they can't pin the precise location down from the video. Of course they know the precise locations of the planes, it's matching up the video to the plane that is harder than you think.

Yep chopped video..Thing about that is everyone seems to be blaming the cameraman but he states he put in 10 minutes of film.Someone said it was live feed to the studio..Therefore it's the station that did the chopping..hmmm

The FAA has 3 points. The camera chopper, the other chopper and the plane..
They input every 4 secs...I cant see the problem..

So what we need to do is contact the station and get the cuttings. I am willing to bet that after the point he cut it off... it becomes more clear that it is a plane heading towards him.

You asked why there is only one contrail in the area... well there were only 2 possible planes that were in the area during the brief time that sunset conditions are right to see that effect. But I have enough images that are identical that show the same effect on other days with similar sunset conditions...

SO either they are indeed planes... or they are firing mystery missiles all the time and no one has noticed

This continues to be very intriguing... logic points this to be an airplane contrail, created under very specific weather conditions and the angle of pictures/video. But still no official confirmation of what flight it is and a lot of doubt from experts of all areas!

I work in an airport in Lisbon, Portugal and the weather here often creates these views of the sky. i watch hundreds of planes arriving and departing everyday, as well as their trails in the sky... i have never seen one like this one!

THAT is the ONE POINT in all this that doesn't make any sense..

WHY is the media making such a fuss over this and deliberately interviewing people like the old guy who tells us its a show of force and then this lady? Why do some Generals say its definitely a missile, and others say its definitely a plane? Why the laughter from the guy at NORAD 2nd Space Wing? Why the slow response from the Pentagon?

What are they doing in Iran while we are looking at smoke?
