Book of Boondock Saint
The Rich Man

Chapter 4

1) A knock on the door
brings the rich man to
ask why have you come here?
To share my wealth with
you said the poor man.

2) The rich man sees the
poor mans dirty rags and laughs
what wealth can you offer
me beggar?

3) The entire wealth of
heaven written in
God's word.

4) The rich man laughs
I don't need your God. I have
everything I need. Money, power,
land, business, your God is
a sham. There is no God.
I am an Atheist.

5) God still loves you and wants
you in heaven with him. He wants
to save your soul so you can have
eternal life says the poor man.

6) I will have eternal life
without your God. I have the best
doctors in the world that defy
my age year after year. You're
God is a liar. I will never die.

7) The poor man says, God sent
me to give you another chance at
salvation. Will you not take heed
of his love?

8) The rich man curses God and
the poor man for disturbing
his afternoon and slams the door.

9) The poor man drops to his knees there
on the stoop and begs God's forgiveness
for the rich man's sins.

10) The rich man sits back down
now cursing God again for the
actions on the TV.

11) In his rage he pops a cherry
into his mouth to devour it as it
gets lodged in his throat. He gasps
for air.

12) He begins to lose consciousness
as he looks out the window to see
the poor man still on his knees.

13) He frantically tries to get to
the window to ask for help. But did
not have the strength to move.

14) He falls over and loses everything
in the blink of an eye.

15) The poor man gets off his knees
and notices a cherry tree beside the
walkway.

16) On his way out he picks a cherry and
eats it. As he walks away he thinks,
I am truly the rich man.

cool a parable.

the rich man, on his high horse, assumed age was all that dictates death.

and then kills himself.

classic ego lesson, the be$t doctor in the world cannot save you from yourself.

added irony: both men ate something God created, yet only 1 man acknowledged it.

Uhh.. yeah so ..wow that one actually gave a twinge of some kind...I feel.....speechless.

I have to say that was really really good, and moreover, thought provoking on many levels for me.

I never know when they are gonna happen.
I just get the urge to write something down
and it starts flowing. When I first started chapter 1
I fought the urge extremely hard cuz I don't write
in this fashion. But I've come to accept it now.
I really don't see where this writing hurts anyone
so if they keep coming, I'll keep writing. I do wonder
sometimes where this will end up and what will be
done with the writings. hmmmm, just don't know.
any ideas???? or speculations ????

Not only has it touched me, but I have shared these with family,with the your name clearly being the author of the writings. Hope you don't mind.

Perhaps you should consider doing the old copyright routine and getting some of these published. Ya know, like a book of poetry kind of?
I own a publishing company, if you ever get interested. Just let me know.

I would agree with that. Get it published. Just don't forget who your friends are when you get rich and famous. HAHAHAHA. And don't try to sell it on ATS, tis forbidden I think. Good luck
